About The Park
The Park stands out from the rest. This hip spot in the heart of the Meatpacking District is bound to impress even the most jaded of the New York elite. Each room evokes a different theme--from the rainforest-style dining room to the Red Room infused with Asian aesthetic. The dining room encircles an immense cluster of bamboo, with other tropical plants stand strategically placed. The organic nature of the setting is complimented splendidly by the healthy, adventurous dishes of new American cuisine on the menu. A glass enclosed Atrium offers a secluded and chic spot for any private event or party. The penthouse leads to a rooftop patio which is suited for social gatherings. In addition, a heated outdoor garden with Japanese maple trees gives diners the chance to enjoy the Park's distinct cuisine outside any time of year. Come to the Park and escape from the norm.

The Park Ratings and Reviews
We booked a reservation for 4:00 PM through Open table. It was the only reservation that we could get. Got there around 3:45 PM and did not get seated until 4:45 PM as they were transitioning from lunch to dinner but neglected to tell us that as we would not have waited that long knowing this information in advacne. Finally got seated in the garden which is a beautiful spot and honestly was the only saving grace of this visit. It was raining outside so we were getting dripped on the whole time we were there. Our waiter was no where to be found most of the time even though the restaurant was not busy. Although the manger that was working the floor was very helpful and even got us our check since our waiter was missing. The food was okay but nothing special especially for the prices. Overall I would save my money and go somewhere else as there are so many better restaurants in NYC for dinner. I would recommend stopping in and having a cocktail in the back of the garden as it is a beautiful space.
We had eaten here before and enjoyed the ambiance and the food. That was at night. Evidently, the birds from the garden are more active during the day and several flew into the main dining room, too near to our table for comfort. One landed on my husband's bread and fluttered its wings for quite a spell.
I've been coming to the park for years but the food was terrible on this occation. I ordered the rigatoni with braised spare ribs. The pasta was undercooked, the meat was dry and tough, and the dish was salty, almost as if they accidentally double salted the dish.
The service was terrible- from the hostess stand to the wait times for food. Hostesses were forcing people with reservations to wait when the dining room was almost empty. They were beyond Rude and showed no concern when multiple people left bc it took so long for a table. Waited over 45 minutes for food after all that. Ambiance is beautiful but in no way makes up for the service.
My boyfriend and i went four our anniversary and while the food was good and the ambiance was very romantic, we were seated next to a very rowdy group of 30+ people in the "outdoor" green space area and could hardly hear. Our waitress took our drink orders and then did not show back up at our table until we were finished for dinner when we asked for our check. we had to ask our back waiter for everything we wanted to order because she was so un-attentive.
Every time I️ go here, the food takes way longer than it should. People who were seating 20 minutes after us get their food first - consistently. And every time, at least one meal either comes out wrong or messed up. The food is good, but the kitchen needs to get it together.
My friend and I dined at The Park before a theatre show nearby. The waitress expedited our order so we would be out on time. The service was great and I loved the atmosphere! We both ordered the salmon with artichokes and sunchokes. The salmon was cooked to perfection, although the sunchokes were a bit undercooked. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at The Park and would come back again!
A business dinner of burgers was a real hit. Low key vibe was perfect because we all needed to chill. Love the ambiance here so many different parts to the place. Armchairs by the fireplace or table in the atrium. Allow you to change it up but still enjoy the reasonable prices for great food.
The food and the ambiance were great. However, the service was atrocious. Checked in for my reservation and was told they were moving around some tables to put some together for our group of 5, and it would be about 5 minutes. I got back up 15 minutes later to be told the same thing...and then seated at one corner booth table....why was I told twice that they were putting together tables for us to be seated at one big one already in place? Then we sat for almost 20 minutes before anyone came over to even pour water in the empty glasses on the table....after we asked twice. Someone at the table ordered a drink on the rocks, it was brought straight up and it was 15 minutes before we could even get anyone's attention to ask them for ice and another 20 before anyone brought some out....and the ice was given to us in a burning hot out of the dishwater glass so already half water. The good food and fantastic company saved the night but I have lived in New York 7 years and have never been so annoyed by service.
The space is interesting. I've been before and it has been ok - this time wasn't so great. Food was ok. Started with super snippy guy at the entrance who was very dismissive and had no reason to have an attitude (which he had with everyone, not just us). It is not a hot enough restaurant to warrant a rude dude at the reservation stand. The waitress rushed us a bit and then when we ordered dessert she gave us spoons for "when it was brought out." We were there for an hour more, mostly waiting because she went off duty and no one else took care of us. We literally saw her come out of the back, through the restaurant and leave in her street clothes. Super poor service experience.
The food is good as always the service was polite but a bit scattered. I asked for salad instead of fries and got fries my friend asked for chili and I asked for mustard and had to ask twice. The bus person was too quick to remove plates and took money off the table that wasn't for the ill but my money. Not a problem just a bit too excited to clear tables. Ask first lol nothing major aril a great place with good service I would always recommend the park
Arrived early and had a drink at the bar while I waited for the rest of my friends. The Happy Hour prices were good but not much variety on the menu. When we were seated, we enjoyed the ambiance and the quality of food. The service was friendly and helpful.
We started with the crispy calamari appetizer, which was good. For the main course, two of us ordered the chef's burger and the other two ordered wood oven pizzas. All was delicious and the waiter paid special note to our requests.
Since the restaurant is so close to the high line, we were able to walk home and enjoy the view after our dinner.
Overall great food + experience, we will return.
The Park is a great option for lunch or dinner, with a great outdoor covered patio it gives you the sensation of being outside while still having the indoor comfort, the value you get for the price is outstanding with good service and incredible taste for every single dish.
The Park is like eating in a garden in the middle of Chelsea. The covered atrium is exposed to the outside, with lush plants and vines providing a natural backdrop to a casual, elegant dining experience.
The Park offers it all:
- professional, courteous wait staff (thanks, Derek!)
- Full bar with extensive wine list and cocktails
- Delicious entrees with wonderful sauces
- Great dessert selection
For a great break from the hustle and bustle in a romantic natural setting, we recommend the Park!
The Park is great. Not only is the atmosphere amazing, but the food is good and fairly priced. I've been here twice in about a month, and I was happy each time. The veggie burger is clearly made on site. The oysters were incredibly fresh. And the staff is very nice.
Food was so so. Ordered a glass of Champagne and was definitely not Champagne from France. It was most probably a glass of sparkling wine from California that Americans call inappropriately California Champagne because it is NOT Champagne. Only wine produced in the Champagne valley can be called Champagne. I asked to see the bottle to double check whether it was Champagne and not. The waitress told me she was not allowed to do so.
The venue and space are great and the garden area super cute. A nice vibe, and a nice big space. It never got busy though. The service really soured the whole experience though.
We waited nearly 10 minutes before anyone took our drink order. The food is meh. Not terrible but not amazing and then we sat for another 10 minutes after we had eaten before our empty plates were cleared.
But then our waitress could not come fast enough to drop off our check and tried to take it before we had even all paid as we all had full drinks and had actually planned to order more, which we did, after we left, somewhere else. For the service alone, I won't go back.
