So sad that this establishment is closing. I've even had my birthday here a couple years ago. Makes me feel like I'm in an enchanted park. The steak frites is always delicious and the waiters are always kind and helpful. This is a gem that I will truly miss.
Great server. Good quality food.
Waiters were rude and laughing at my friend and I. The food was awful.
I was here to reconnect with an old friend we lost track of time because of relaxed it felt being there
The food was overpriced and not even worth the money. Slow service and wouldn’t come back
I wouldn't recommend for dinner. I guess if you are in the area and want a quick bits with a friend, it's ok. The pizza looked good. But I had everything else but pizza. Food was only so so and the server was really really slow. But it could be just our waiter. The other servers seems to be nice and timely.
Went to this restaurant and ate in the outdoor seating. Everything was delicious and lovely.
We treated two friends to dinner at The Park. They loved it. Said the food and atmosphere were great.
Good food, good service, but temperature was too cold. Not the food but the fan above us. Had to ask twice to make it comfortable.
Literally had to chase down the waiter for 20 minutes in order to pay. I was on the verge of leaving just because I was sick of running around the restaurant to find him. Place is beautiful, but service and food could be better. (I also think my wine had gone bad)
The ambiance is lovely. The meal was the worst I’ve had in NYC. The meal that came to the table looked like something from an elementary school cafeteria and tasted just as bad.
Absolutely terrible management. Manager became belligerent when their failure to note that a dessert contained tree nuts caused me an allergic reaction. When we recommended they put “contains nuts” on the menu she went so far as to say “if they listed all their ingredients the menu would be 20 pages long”, “she wasn’t legally obligated to”, and “get out of her restaurant.” Completely inexcusable. This place can’t go out of business fast enough.
We liked The Park. It’s a great space. The service was terrific. But the food was really just meh, consistently. We had salmon burgers, a hamburger (it was tiny), and some apps - a marguerita pizza and meatballs. I couldn’t say that a single item was impressive in any way.
I hope they were just having a bad kitchen night.
In any case, it's a good place to meet people.
I’ve been going to the Park for years. We always loved it. But not this time. It was terrible service. The worst manager ever. We will not come back and we will make sure everyone we know will find out about this most unfair evening.
Took my now fiance here before proposing in the Highline above. The restaurant was gorgeous and the food was to die for! Ambiance of the place is amazing. Would definitely recommend the pizza and the red sangria.
The food was absolutely terrible. I have never gone to a restaurant and had a meal that was actually BAD until I came to The Park. The pesto risotto was so bad, I couldn't eat it. My boyfriend got a burger and didn't like it either. The waiter didn't even ask us how our meal was. DO NOT eat here. Save your money. I will not be returning and will be telling everyone I know to never eat here.
We had a great server and a very pleasant experience. Food was good and prices reasonable
Great food. Great value. Great service. Our server, Jamie, was great. We never had to look for her. She was right there to refill water glasses and to see if we needed anything.
Had dinner here for my 21st birthday and our waitress was super nice and knowledgeable about the menu! Very energetic and positive attitude. I wish I remembered her name! She has brown hair and glasses. The restaurant was so beautiful and the food was delicious. Will definitely be back!
If you don’t mind apathetic service where the server complains to you that you were seated by the hostess in their area, this is fine. I do like the atmosphere and you get left alone A LOT by staff; again, good if you want to have an easy conversation w friends. Just don’t be in any hurry.
Our waitress was very nice, helpful and attentive. The guy at the front desk was plain rude, he should not working in the service industry, he clearly does not like people. The WiFi did not work either, which was a problem for us as we very traveling and needed to look things up, and there was no interest from the staff to assist us. Food was good quality though.
Great spot! Enjoyed the food and the service
Nothing exciting, slow service, better tasting food out of a can and perhaps the desserts are out of a box...this place needs help big time in the flavor department!
Always wanted to check out The Park because of the fantastic patio area. We waited an hour + for food after our waitress vanished mid meal never to be seen again. Food was ok not great, definitely not worth an hour wait. Such a bummer that such an adorable space is lacking due to service! Honorable mention to bus staff for picking up on what happened and salvaging the night.
If you like sitting and dinning in a bird sanctuary, then this place is for you! I would never go back and sit in the patio. It was SO loud with birds!
Beautiful place and great location
It was great. Food was good. Cocktails and sodas are small for the price. But beers are good. The inside was beautiful!
Our server was friendly but not as attentive, we sat by the garden and the noise from the street to the music plus other peoples conversation made it hard for our group to have a decent conversation. The food was underwhelming, the burger bun wss stale, the Margherita pizza had one lonely basil in the middle that seemed like it was just a cheese pizza with one basil as a garnish, everything was room temperature when it was served. We took a chance even if the reviews we saw online were mixed but mostly on the negative side but we now understand why.
Overall it was good service, good drinks and food. The best thing about this place is the ambiance.
We had reservations for 13 people, 9 of us were on time, but the restaurant made us wait because they wanted to have all 13 people there before giving us a table. The restaurant should be a little bit more flexible with this policy.
This restaurant used to be a more fine dining experience but they have definitely changed their entire dynamic. The wait staff wears polo shirt now... hello TGIFridays. All that aside, the food is completely not worth the trip here. The crab cakes are undoubtedly frozen food (extremely tiny as in dollar quarter sized) the charcuterie tray is the saddest looking board I’ve ever seen (when they tell you there are 3 meats and 2 cheeses be prepared to have 2 cheese wedges that are 2-3 inches in length and an inch in diameter and 3 tiny pieces of meat). I brought my work colleagues here who all work in the hospitality industry and they were incredibly underwhelmed. Not to mention when we arrived they told us they weren’t cooking pizzas (there goes a quarter of their menu).
So, I had such a great experience with one group of friends a few weeks ago, I brought another group of friends from out of town and was SO unhappy. First time we sat in the garden room, terrific atmosphere, open air, the food was terrific, the waitress was engaging! This past week, I made reservations, specifically requested the Garden Room. The hostess could have cared less about the request, just said there was no way she could seat us in that open air room. We asked if we could wait for it, she said our waiting was making her nervous, and suggested we wait in the side bar area. After 30 minutes, post reservation time, we gave up. She the seated us in the furthest corner boot, where the waiters were running behind us barking orders to the bar all night. The food was really dry and overall not very good. It was such a completely different exerience from the lunch experience. Manager needs to figure out the staffing differnce between shifts or whatever the other issues are in the evening. I COULD really like this place, location and menu are great, but really didn't this last time... at all!!
My family and I went to celebrate our daughter’s graduation; the place is really nice - it looks like a garden in the heart of Chelsea. Service is very good and fast; we had time to have a nice walk on the Highline, Park which is just across 10th Ave
The park is a Great place to have dinner and a drink with friends. The whole place is really cool and the food is tasty!
Seated promptly. Great garden space - loved the ambiance! Shared calamari and mussels - very good. Drinks were great. Shared the salmon burger, salad and side order of fries, and the fries were great! Decent portions but not giant. Attentive service. Will definitely go back.
It was nice family place, moderately priced, good service, fast order to table plates.
The atmosphere of this restaurant is amazing! It looks so cosy and warm. Even though you’re in the middle of New York, you feel like you’re sitting outside in a beautiful park. The employees were really kind and made us feel welcome.
The food was fine. We ordered a pizza and burgers. The pizza was very good, but the burger plates were a bit disappointing. The taste was good, but the “design” of the plate was minimal, especially compared to the ambiance of the restaurant.
Overall, it is a great restaurant to spend a lovely evening with friends and/or family!
The location is great and atmosphere was fun but terrible service and poor food. We never were given a waiter and I had to get a manager to take our order.
Good food - the calamari was delicous, crab appetizer was to much filler not enough crab. Entrees:
salmon good but small portions
Lamb ragout /pasta good but small portion
Short rib burger juicy cooked right and delicious
Drinks are overpriced-drink at the bar at Happy hour its cheaper
Server forgot about us handed us a dessert menu before we received our dinners
Service was slow
Poor food. Good ambiance
Setting us lively...food was good (not great)...& service was “spotty” at best.
