About The Park
The Park stands out from the rest. This hip spot in the heart of the Meatpacking District is bound to impress even the most jaded of the New York elite. Each room evokes a different theme--from the rainforest-style dining room to the Red Room infused with Asian aesthetic. The dining room encircles an immense cluster of bamboo, with other tropical plants stand strategically placed. The organic nature of the setting is complimented splendidly by the healthy, adventurous dishes of new American cuisine on the menu. A glass enclosed Atrium offers a secluded and chic spot for any private event or party. The penthouse leads to a rooftop patio which is suited for social gatherings. In addition, a heated outdoor garden with Japanese maple trees gives diners the chance to enjoy the Park's distinct cuisine outside any time of year. Come to the Park and escape from the norm.

The Park Ratings and Reviews
I was married at The Park 4 years ago and we go to dinner every year on our Anniversary. I emailed more than once and never received a reply about having a surprise for my husband,I wanted them to slice the pie we had at our wedding and bring it after our meal. I finally spoke to someone on the phone (I had to call them, twice) and they told me I would be charged to slice (per slice) for the surprise dessert I was planning to bring.
The night of our reservation I ordered a special that was written on the menus as "polenta and shrimp" when the meal came out I took a bite and there was actually some sort of meat in the dish. I questioned this and they said there is pork belly, this was not written on the menu nor was it mentioned by the server. I don't eat pork. I picked a different dish and that was prepared.
At this point the manager came over to talk to us and I explained our dissatisfaction (mentioned the pie and the pork), he was apologetic and they did comp us our bottle of wine.
I will say when we were told about the wine being complimentary it was done in a very self congratulatory manner. A new server(the initial server disappeared) brought the check over and said "Our manager is comp-ing your wine because it's your anniversary" ??? Okay, not really the right phrasing, how about we are so sorry that you ingested a piece of pork and that our service was poor and that we wanted to charge you for slicing a pie after not responding to your multiple emails?
Everyone who worked there was very nice, all smiles and great attitudes. The menu could be have more of a selection. The food was pretty good I had the rigatoni and braised spare rib. The restaurant itself is beautiful. There are two club like lounges. The upstairs one, had a DJ that needed some help. The main floor DJ was better. Overall I had a good experience.
My Fiance and I were out on Date Night. The minute we walked in, we were greeted very nicely. We definitely felt welcomed. We made reservations and were seated right away. The over all experience of the "Garden" area was amazing. We were very pleased with the over all experience. We will definitely be returning. :)
Here's the thing. This place is really good. The food is really good. The wine is really good. The servers are really good. And the ambiance is beautiful. What's not really good? The hostesses. I've been here three times, and every time, there's a problem with the hostesses. They're always cranky and mean when you walk in and when you leave. Not a great first and last impression to what is a great place otherwise.
They were out of craft beer and some of the entrees as well. We waited for almost an hour for our drinks and when we asked the server she said that she was giving the bartender some time because the bar was filled but that the drinks were probably ready, she just hadn't checked on it for quite a while, the starters arrived almost an hour after we ordered as well and the some of the entrees were cold (probably had been ready and waiting for the server to pick it up for a while).
Food was great, but it was a patience exercise!
Seated at 9:00 with 8:30 reservation. Didn’t get any kind of service for about 45 more minutes. Soup de Jour tasted like a can of a Campbell’s. Salad too heavy with vinegar. Food has no flavor. Lattes tasted like those out of a push button vending machine. It really was this bad.
We booked a reservation for 4:00 PM through Open table. It was the only reservation that we could get. Got there around 3:45 PM and did not get seated until 4:45 PM as they were transitioning from lunch to dinner but neglected to tell us that as we would not have waited that long knowing this information in advacne. Finally got seated in the garden which is a beautiful spot and honestly was the only saving grace of this visit. It was raining outside so we were getting dripped on the whole time we were there. Our waiter was no where to be found most of the time even though the restaurant was not busy. Although the manger that was working the floor was very helpful and even got us our check since our waiter was missing. The food was okay but nothing special especially for the prices. Overall I would save my money and go somewhere else as there are so many better restaurants in NYC for dinner. I would recommend stopping in and having a cocktail in the back of the garden as it is a beautiful space.
We had eaten here before and enjoyed the ambiance and the food. That was at night. Evidently, the birds from the garden are more active during the day and several flew into the main dining room, too near to our table for comfort. One landed on my husband's bread and fluttered its wings for quite a spell.
I've been coming to the park for years but the food was terrible on this occation. I ordered the rigatoni with braised spare ribs. The pasta was undercooked, the meat was dry and tough, and the dish was salty, almost as if they accidentally double salted the dish.
The service was terrible- from the hostess stand to the wait times for food. Hostesses were forcing people with reservations to wait when the dining room was almost empty. They were beyond Rude and showed no concern when multiple people left bc it took so long for a table. Waited over 45 minutes for food after all that. Ambiance is beautiful but in no way makes up for the service.
My boyfriend and i went four our anniversary and while the food was good and the ambiance was very romantic, we were seated next to a very rowdy group of 30+ people in the "outdoor" green space area and could hardly hear. Our waitress took our drink orders and then did not show back up at our table until we were finished for dinner when we asked for our check. we had to ask our back waiter for everything we wanted to order because she was so un-attentive.
Every time I️ go here, the food takes way longer than it should. People who were seating 20 minutes after us get their food first - consistently. And every time, at least one meal either comes out wrong or messed up. The food is good, but the kitchen needs to get it together.
My friend and I dined at The Park before a theatre show nearby. The waitress expedited our order so we would be out on time. The service was great and I loved the atmosphere! We both ordered the salmon with artichokes and sunchokes. The salmon was cooked to perfection, although the sunchokes were a bit undercooked. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at The Park and would come back again!
A business dinner of burgers was a real hit. Low key vibe was perfect because we all needed to chill. Love the ambiance here so many different parts to the place. Armchairs by the fireplace or table in the atrium. Allow you to change it up but still enjoy the reasonable prices for great food.
