The Park Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
I’d never been to the Park even though it’s right around the corner. Maybe because we don’t eat beef. But their seafood options are great! Mussels were among the best I’ve had, and I’ve had a lot! Waitperson offered samples of wine and gave a good pour. Wine list is a bit limited but will be fine for non-oenophiles.
My husband and I used to go here alone, with family and business associates. We just moved back to the area after being away for over ten years. We were celebrating our anniversary., which was indicated on our reservation. The food was just okay, the service good but overall a disappointing experience . The maitre de stopped by several tables near us but didn’t stop by our table which was in the corner behind a loud table of three. We weren’t expecting anything but a simple recognition of our anniversary would have been nice, we were served very quickly even though there were still many empty tables. We just moved into a new community of homes nearby and were hoping this would be our go to place as well as one we could recommend to our neighbors. We won’t be back and certainly won’t be recommending it .
I have come to Park several times. They are close to getting it right but there is something missing. Good menu and poor execution is the best way I can describe. Went with a few friends and all had fish. Fish dishes are about the little things, seasoning, etc... Nothing bad, just not good. Scallops over paella should burst with flavor from the rice but was bland. My wife has a few food restrictions and was given poor info from waiter and needed the manager to help. Food in general was simply average at best and there are better places to spend money.
Dined at the Park Steakhouse for Thanksgiving and had a wonderful experience and a great meal. We ordered a huge Shrimp Cocktail, the Pumpkin Soup with Creme Fraiche, Wild Boar Bolognese over homemade Gnocchi and the Filet Mignon with a side of Grilled Asparagus. Everything was cooked to perfection, the service was outstanding and the coffee was very good. We had no room for dessert; maybe next time!!
Terrific value - Superb aged steak and expert warm service. Doesn't get any better than that.
And I must mention the beet salad and onion rings - perfect! My sweetheart and I were seated at a quiet table in the back, perfect for two. This was a special dinner to celebrate a new job and we could not have selected a better place, even in NYC.
Wow this place was amazing!! I am so happy we came here. Pricey but you definitely are not disappointed. Staff was wonderful. It is fancy but more casual-fancy. Tables included adults and older (tween/teen) kids. I asked about bringing little ones but I think for the price people are paying I would say not a kid place.
Again cannot say enough good about the staff. And the food was incredible. Everything cooked to perfection and the drinks were delicious. We will definitely come again for another special night out!
The Park maintains its consistency in quality food preparation and service. Somewhat pricey but the positive experience helps to soften the bill. Recommended for a special occasion or if you have a hankering for a well prepared steak or fish dish.
Very disappointed, We went for our Anniversary, drinks were good but that’s about it. NYC prices but the food was not good. The steaks were tough and had no flavor, mac and cheese was just mush and the mushrooms were so over cooked you couldn’t eat them. We really wanted to like the place but in the end we felt like we were ripped off. The waitress was great but the food sucked. Won’t be going back again.
The food and wait staff were outstanding!! Our waiter was attentive to details. I made my reservation online & our table was ready when we arrived. We added another person to our party when we arrived and there was no issue. I will go back again for lunch!
We've been going for over 10 years. First time I was unhappy with my meal. Don't know if they're under new mgmt or trying something new. But $275 for two people was always worth it because steaks were amazing. Not this time. They were tough and tasteless. Service professionals were fine but we definitely felt brushed. We were done with meal in an hour. No time to chat in between courses. Always loved this place but was very disappointed as it was my hubbys 50th birthday.
Excellent service. Sensational food as usual. We love a great steak ever so often and love the fact that we don't have to drive into NYC to enjoy a great meal. 6 stars if I could. Furthermore, as a gift for celebrating our wedding anniversary, our waitress even brought us their famous perolees on the house! Good times.
