The Paris Cafe
We have a Full Bar, Winter Cocktail Specials, Happy Hour Specials, serve a wide range of Craft Beers that change seasonally as well as Wines by the Glass and Bottle. Enjoy views of the Brooklyn Bridge, watch the ships go by on the East River while overlooking the cobblestone streets, or take in one of the many sporting events on one of our 12 Big Screen TVs.
The Paris Cafe was closed for 51 weeks after the devastation of Hurricane Sandy but it has been renovated (the magnificent Victorian back-bar has been restored and is returned to its original layout) and returns with a fresh look while keeping the old feel and vibe. Come on in for a pint or two!
Best fish and chips I have had in my life.
Great brunch value!! Ok service, not bad, good food. Would recommend

restaurant was closed but still accepted our reservation and did not let us know. we only found out when we showed up for a BIRTHDAY celebration
The food was excellent and the restaurant had a beautiful ambiance.
Love Paris Cafe.
Prices are reasonable, food delish, people are friendly and the service impeccable.
They have the best AFFORDABLE lunch ever with a free cocktail!!!
The Salmon Benedict is my husband's favorite and the dish is complete with home fries and biscuit.
Book a table, you won't be disappointed!
Thanks for a great time.
Not our first time, not our last.
We had s lunch reservation and were seated right away. The waitress was super friendly and attentive. Food was really good and of course beautiful location.
Always end up a really good meal. Love their seafood.
We came in on a Sunday very early in the evening and they put us in a booth that was right next to the kitchen, really didn't enjoy the whole kitchen conversation.
It’s great to see the South Street Seaport coming back! And it’s wonderful that historic restaurants like the very charming Paris Cafe are still around and part of the experience. We dined with another couple for brunch this weekend, enjoyed the hearty and delicious Full Paris Breakfast. Good service, good prices, nice ambiance and a noise level that actually allows for conversation. It was delightful!
It's a regular pub with standard pub fare. There is nothing Parisian about this place.
I come to the city once a year, and always come to The Paris Cafe for a meal, usually with a larger group. I have always had excellent service and delicious food. However last week, our server (for a table of 7) must have been having a bad day because she was not personable, didn't want to be bothered by asking us if we needed anything, and basically knew she would be getting the 20% for a tip due to our group size. I had really talked up Paris Cafe to the group, but by meals end, found myself apologizing to friends for the experience. Like I said, everyone has a bad day, but hopefully the next time will return to the same great service I had always experienced previously.
Lovely food and great atmosphere in a really nice neighborhood.
Food was low quality and 'dull' - absolutely not worth the price.
Great brunch! Restaurant has lots of character. Warm and cozy on a cold day!
Sunday brunch with my family.
Very attractive yet informal cafe next to South Street Seaport. Good service, quiet during our lunch and very good menu selections, including various dietary preferences. Decor and comfort are very good. I have been to the Paris Cafe several times with friends and find it the very comfortable and consistent and highly reccomend it. We ate in the dining section not the bar section but the bar looks very attractive and appears to have many selections.
Good Service, delicious food and warm interior.
We are huge fans of Paris and have been going for the last 16 years. They've hosted our engagement party and a few birthdays. We go back every year for our wedding anniversary and this year was no exception. We love everyone there and can't thank them enough.
Food was very tasty and fresh. Friendly service.
Atmospheric, historic gastropub with yummy comfort food. Front bar is a garrulous sports bar, but the back room is quiet enough for comfortable conversation. Great for groups!
Great food and great environment! Really cool to eat at an establishment with so much history. Food was great and thr service was just as good. Definitely recommend!
Okay for what it is
The building exterior is so cute but the inside is like a sports bar. The food is not French which caught us off guard; however, the food was surprisingly good and the price is very affordable. Had the chicken and steak. The beet salad was really good.
We chose this restaurant for it's proximity to the ferry landing on Wall St. and we were very pleased. It has a great ambience with original architectural features and a real pub/café feel. The food is very good and the service pleasant. It is definitely our choice for lunch or dinner after a ferry ride into the city.
We were in from out of town and felt the prices were very reasonable and value was excellent. The seafood stew was to die for. The calamari was soooo tender and the mussels, clams and salmon were just delicious. The tomato soup/base was an incredible tomato reduction that was seasoned just perfectly. No thin tomato juice in this dish. My husband had the lamb shank which is always one of his favorite dishes. This one did not disappoint!
We went to the Paris Cafe prior to a concert. The service and location were just what we needed. The food is very American. I had the Shepard’s pie. And my husband had mozzarella sticks, and another appetizer. We were quite happy!
We were on our way to a Diana Ross concert. The owner, a very friendly man asked if we were attending and was just as excited as we were! He even sang a few bars of one of her songs! We had a very nice waiter who was very attentive and the food was great. I hope to return again, soon!
Great food and great service, close to Brooklyn Bridge if you decide to walk Oliver it
Celebrated my Hubby's 75th birthday. Everything we hoped for and more. Hope to return on my next visit to NYC!
The sauces of seafood stew is very good. My husband loved the lamb. The place is not something impressed you but food is worth to try.
Food was amazing
Things got off to a rocky start with an expensive, tiny hibiscus and mezcal cocktail for $12 that did not really work. The service was slow at first, and we had to ask for water, but it improved as the meal went in. The seafood stew was out of this world, filled with mussels, clams, calamari and shrimp in wonderful tomato-based sauce that was perfect for dipping bread into. We also had the tuna Niçoise salad that was super tasty. The atmosphere was nice. I would go back.
We went to this restaurant to celebrate my sister's birthday.
Everything was great. The service was excellent. Our dinners were all delicious and very satisfying. The restaurant itself was really quaint - loved it!
I would recommend this restaurant. Great experience.
Quaint feeling...cozy....good food...….great location by the Seaport. Have been going there for some time and will continue to do so for many years.
The Paris Cafe has been around since the 1800's and still continues to be a wonderful place to gather with friends. We chose to come here after meeting at an extremely noisy and crowded restaurant just down the street. We were very happy with the moderate noise which allowed us to chat freely and enjoy each other's company. The service was perfect and the food and drinks were great. We made it to happy hour and our server reminded us when it was close to ending so we could place our next drink order. You can't beat that for great service!
Food was amazing and quiet big for the value , definitely would go back
Good experience. Food was great. I had the Mahi Mahi sandwich which was amazing. Definitely worth another visit to try other dishes.
