Excellent Sunday brunch and service. Ordered off the menu. Beautiful setting and noise level low.
We had breakfast at the Palmetto on July the 8th before departing Charleston. We both had the buffet. The staff and the ambiance were both pleasant. The staff was super helpful. The buffet has fresh fruit and many tasty items. It was however pricey. That being said the caramel brioche was one of the most AMAZING padgries I have ever eaten!!!!
Waiter misheard me twice, I ordered waffle. He brought out pancakes. He took it off the bill so that’s cool. My husband breakfast sandwich was greasy and did not taste very good. The atmosphere was pretty. There is a gorgeous courtyard to look at while dining. It was very expensive for regular breakfast. $25 and up!
Food was great and our server was outstanding. Had a great time!!! Will definitely return.
Food, drink and service was fabulous!
Thank you Lily and Gray! Good job!
Best place for lunch in Charleston!
My daughter and I came for lunch to celebrate her birthday. The food was wonderful. The venue delightful. At the end of our meal she was presented with a lovely crème brûlée. A very nice lunch.
Sunday Buffet, great fresh food. Excellent service. Our anniversary weekend, quite fitting finale
Decor and atmosphere was amazing and so were the drinks. The She Crab soup spectacular but the entree hamburger and lobster was the worst I’ve ever had.
the decor was lovely, the tables were elegantly set, the brunch was "to die for" excellent, & our server was energetic, attentive, excellent and charming (Adriana).... it turns out that both Adrianna & i were from Chicago, originally and we had a nice/nostalgic chat about that city.... thanks to y'all for a great time.....
Nice garden view, John is excellent.
Great food and excellent service. Kevin split our food for us to make it easier to share. Highly recommend.
Most pleasant. In spite of big Spoleto festival not full at all. Food excellent. Champagne expensive. Overall nice experience but don’t go with an empty wallet!!
Great Service and very nice breakfast options. The best breakfast experience we had in Charleston, SC
We had Brunch there, and everything was tasty. I would have liked to have biscuits on the buffet!
Chef's new menu items are very tasty. We had the snapper and the salmon lunch entrees. Both were very tasty as was the chocolate dessert. Service was terrific. Lilly greeted us warmly as usual and we spent some time comparing notes with Bill the manager.
I’ve been going to this restaurant for about 15 years. Menu has kept old favorites. Best best Bellini in town and the sweet peach iced tea wil keep you asking for more. If you can’t decide, get the Palmetto Sampler. It has smoked chicken salad, a slider 21 burger, crab cake, she crab soup and thin sliced fries. Desserts are very imaginative. Kudos to the chef and pastry chef. For the table a nice selection of breads along w 3 flavors or butter. A great beginning to a delicious meal. The staff is phenomenal. Our waiter this particular day was John. Very attentive but not overwhelming. Our long time wait person is the ever present, Ruthie. She has worked here for a couple of decades minimum. You don’t need to be staying at The Belmond to enjoy this very beautifully bright and elegant dining great!
We asked for a nice table, and were happily seated at a table looking out on the courtyard. The lunch was delicious, Server Colleen was the best we’ve experienced anywhere, and it was an altogether wonderful experience.
Lilly was great and Mrs Scott was fabulous!
Austin did an excellent job! Mike stop by and we appreciate his attention!
The restaurant, as always, was delightful! It was the perfect place for celebrating a friend's birthday! For some reason, the service was slow that day and that has never happened on previous occasions. There were not that many people in the restaurant so I couldn't figure the reason. As always, though, the Palmetto Cafe was awesome and we will return!
Lilly greeted us by name and with a smile as usual. She is such a great ambassador for the Palmetto Cafe. We had a new server (Kevin) who was very attentive and accommodating. He knew when and when not to interrupt our business lunch and that skill is rare in this day and age when restaurants shuffle patrons in and out in an attempt to turn tables as much as possible. Bravo Palmetto!
We enjoyed our lunch; food was very good. Wait staff responsive
Without being intrusive. Steppped up pace when we explained time
Excellent. The garden is lovely to enjoy lunch
Austin was fabulous!
Mike stopped by several times to check on us! We love Palmetto Cafe and the staff! First Class!
Never disappointed when dining at the Palmetto Cafe. Great food with attentive service in a delightful environment.
Great service. The hostess was very gracious and acknowledged that we had dined there before and welcomed us back.
Excellent lunch - all except for the service that was inordinately delayed. However, to their credit, the management very generously complimented for the inconvenience. We would return.
Ariana our server was gracious and hospitable. Everything was prepared perfectly and Delicious.
Service was very slow and food wasn’t as good as previous times. Waitress didn’t offer the buffet and was unsure when it was available. Not a great experience.
Ate breakfast buffet at the Palmetto Cafe but this wasn’t your ordinary ho-hum buffet. Let me first start by saying our server, Paul, was so congenial and tended to us with great care. Back to the food, from start to finish the food & coffee was wonderful. The buffet was nicely done with omelet station, eggs, bkfst meats, eggs benedict, French toast, caramel brioche, pastries, assorted dry cereals, warm oatmeal, fresh fruit, yogurt & more! The restaurant is beautiful and on a nice day the seating in the courtyard would be most enjoyable. If you come to Charleston, breakfast at Palmetto Cafe is highly recommended!
Food was excellent, as was the presentation. Service was excellent. But very expensive!
The Palmetto Cafe is VERY pricey and the food is merely okay but it's a lovely setting with gracious service and sometimes, that's exactly what you want. Average entree at lunch runs north of $27 -- be forewarned!
Excellent Sunday brunch. Wonderful buffet spread. Great menu options as well.
Can't say enough about this place. Always excellent service and food. One of our favorites for brunch.
This restaurant is part of the Belmond Charleston Place hotel, which was charming and beautiful. I highly recommend staying there if you are visiting Charleston! I met a friend at The Palmetto Cafe for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. We ate in the outdoor enclosed courtyard. It was a pleasant day in Charleston and perfect for outdoor dining. The service was great. I ordered the Crab salad and it had lumps of pure crabmeat and no filler. It was on a tasty bed of avocado. Wonderful!! If I visit Charleston again, I'll be back at the Palmetto Cafe and ordering the Crab salad!
Had a great breakfast with good service. The pancakes were excellent. Enjoyable atmosphere.
Impeccable service with exceptionally well prepared food. Lily graciously seated us at a nice table overlooking the garden and all went well. Bravo!
Food is decent best part is beautiful atmosphere next to terrace.
Great seafood club sandwich and service very good
Service was excellent and Sunday brunch was fantastic.
