The Palm Boston Ratings and Reviews
Food was ok but Service was horrible, we waited at least 20 min when we were sat down to receive our drinks and they were very slow. This lack of service continued throughout the meal. On a good note the water attendant/bus boy was on point making sure that our waters were full and our plates were cleared. He waited on us more then the waitress. I guess the experience always depends on who gives it to you. This time it sucked!!!
This was our first trip to The Palm in Boston and it will definitely not be our last. Each and every item we ordered was fantastic. The steaks were all cooked perfectly. We had both the cheesy potatoes and the goat cheese mashed potatoes. We didn't lick the bowls, but had we been at home we might have. Our desserts of creme brulee and key lime pie were great additions to our fabulous meal. I am grateful there are Palm restaurants across the US. I hope they are all as good as this one in Boston. The service should not be overlooked either. Everyone was highly professional. Would recommend this location without hesitation.
Great location with excellent service. Food is always good and it makes for a great business lunch. They are time conscious if you need to be done in an hour. Can be pricey but lunch options are very reasonable. It can get noisy at times but still not terrible from a noise perspective. I eat here every couple of months and keep coming back.
Every time My wife and I go to The Palm. The food, the service, and the total package is outstanding. Tonight we went there to celebrate my wife’s birthday as just a couple and The Palm did not disappoint in any way. Please keep them in mind when going out for any special occasion meal because nothing is better. Great steaks, seafood, and deserts. Try the carrot cake you will fall in love with it!!!
We visited the Palm in celebration of my sons birthday. We were so pleased when we got to our table that it was decorated with sparkles and a card with my sons name on it. It meant so much to him and made him feel so special. The service was phenomenal From start to finish and the food was delicious. I loved that we were not rushed through our meal yet we were attended to so well. Overall, I couldn't ask for a better evening to celebrate our special occasion. Thank you palm restaurant
For perspective, we started going to the Palm because of poor service elsewhere. We had six people in for a festive dinner with a family member from out of town. The service started strong and faded fast as our server struggled to balance food orders and drink orders. She forgot to bring the expensive bottle of wine we ordered that should have been decanted. She also forgot several other drinks ordered at the table. Our meal was served for five minutes without us having any drinks at all for roughly 15-20 minutes (lost revenue oppty not to mention horrible service). It was hugely disappointing and we expect better from the Palm. After three years of great meals we are unlikely to return.
A Friday night dinner at the Palm was fine.....but just fine. Based on the price and expectations they set, the delivery is average for a run of the mill expensive place. Wait staff, while nice, were a bit chummy and casual for a fine dining type place.
No complaints just no praise
We ate at The Palm for the first time tonight and we enjoyed everything about it. We enjoyed our cocktails. The wedge salad looked amazing and it was quite large, so luckily we shared it. The 3lb lobsters were very tasty. My Mom, who never eats her dinner, loved the salmon and ate every last bite. The chocolate layer cake and carrot cake were delicious as well. Pedro was our server and he is magnificent! He's very personable, while also being very aware of timing and attentive to all guests. The atmosphere is beautiful! It was also quiet, a welcome change from a few noisy establishments that we typically frequent. We are looking forward to our next visit!
An all around excellent dinner. The food and service were great. The staff was very attentive and the restaurant manager came over to check that everything was good. The dining room is very large with well-spaced tables and a very high ceiling so the restaurant was very quiet and conducive to conversation.
My steak was not prepared properly - over cooked. They were happy to make me a new steak. It arrived 20 minutes later. While it was prepared as ordered, it was tough and inedible. They did not charge for the steak. Everyone was very accommodating but the food was not as good as I remember.
Kristen was excellent!
The building was shutting all power out at 10 on Saturday evening and The Palm called to let me know we would have to leave the restaurant by 10.
That was very thoughtful but I do feel that a complimentary appetizer or dessert would have been appropriate for those dining that evening.
The quality of the food is great but the food needs some added flavor. Lobster Mac and cheese looks great presentation wise but leaves a lot to be desired. Tough lobster and cheap cheese. The maple glazed bacon was something you could do at home. Steak was just ok.
We had reservations for 7:15pm and arrived 30 minutes early thinking we would just set at the bar. They got us seated right away, the table location was perfect for the size group we had, it was a little loud but that was to be expected, the service was great, the food was fabulous and our waitress Christy was an absolute gem. It was a great first experience at the Palms Boston, I'm certain I will be back and I would highly recommend it.
