Join us for our Easter Fete Buffet on Sunday April 17th, from 10am-5pm. Featuring live music, complimentary glass of champagne and a festive ambiance.

We are open daily for Breakfast (6:30-10 am), traditional Afternoon Tea (10:30 am-4 pm), and Evening Cocktails and Lite Fare (5 pm-10 pm). At this time all reservations available are only for our Afternoon Tea. Availability for our Evening Cocktails and Lite Fare is on a walk-in basis.

The Palm Court’s Afternoon Tea truly shines with custom tableware and china, a fragrant tea list steeped in history, and of course, a bit of precocious Eloise too. Guests are invited to nibble on our in-house Pastry Chef’s unique culinary offerings like delicate finger sandwiches, buttery scones and elegant desserts, which are all made from scratch with local, seasonal and sustainable ingredients.

My mother and I ordered the Manhattan and the Plaza. I’m vegetarian and they accommodated me and made amazing sandwiches and a stuffed pepper. The price is along with the experience and I plan to do this again next yet. It was lovely. Our waitress, Mary Alice, was kind , knowledgeable and attentive. Can’t wait to go again!

The food and tea is obviously the best but our waiter, Kazi, really made the visit memorable with his excellent service and wonderful attention to every detail. Highly recommend!

The caviar service was amazing, the customer service was superb also. You cannot help but love this classic hotel with it's history and beautiful decor. You do not go away hungry. 100% recommend!

                                                                                                                                                                                                        took a friend visiting ny here. i had been here for high tea several times prior to the pandemic and there is a very clear drop off in quality and hospitality. the food - dry, tasteless. the tea - lipton. the service - absolutely atrocious, in your face, masks on their ears and not over their mouths and nose. will not be returning.

The interior is majestic, the staff - most attentive and kind, and the menu- exquisite! It was a luxurious immersion for the senses. The tea sandwiches and vast array of decadent treats, accompanied by a varied tea assortment was just the right amount. We left satisfied but not overstuffed. The price is a bit steep but worth it for a one-of-a-kind indulgence.

But our waitress was pretty rude. We asked him couples questions about the menu he was not even able to respond. Wasn’t sure if he understood us. Also when I was trying to go the restroom and did asked the security guy where is it - he looked at me and said “ it’s only for customers” . It was pretty mean to me. Looks like if are you not rocking your Birkin bag be ready to get some attitude.

It seemed that none of the waiters had tried waiting at table before and skulked around the place sloppily. I thought it would be in a separate room but was just off the corridor in the hotel lobby. The food was fine (sandwiches a bit stale) and the tea was very nice. A very very casual atmosphere (in a bad way) and the waiters were grubby and wore mismatched clothes.

                                                                                                                                                                                                        It was nice…but only nice and given the price tag, I expected so much more. Having been to some of London’s comparably high end hotels (The Savoy, The Ritz, Claridge’s) which are either the same or less money, this paled in comparison. We requested dietary changes and this seemed so problematic for them, even after we emailed them the day before (whereas the hotels in London were prepared for us when we arrived and made it so easy). To make matters worse, the menu on the website was different to the one we sat down to, so the changes we’d requested were pointless anyway. The waiters were perfectly fine but the level of service was not exceptional - and again, it really should be. The attention to detail and general attentiveness just wasn’t there. The quality of the food was very good, this I cannot deny. However, the portion sizes for the money you pay is significantly less than the London counterparts (where they offer you more sandwiches and more scones). They didn’t even offer us more tea! The tea selection was decent and it was tasty tea, however, they advertised loose leaf tea and there were no leaves to be found in the pot they brought. As an avid tea drinker, I know that leaving the tea leaves in the pot allows for flavours to enhance and it’s actually the second pot that tastes the best. They need smaller teapots with the tea leaves in and to provide tea strainers, and they can then refill the pots with hot water. It is a beautiful space but the ambience could have been much enhanced with a live pianist, cellist or similar musician. Overall, it is an incredibly expensive tea which I wouldn’t pay for again or recommend when I have experience so much better for the same or less money.

For the price you pay you don't get much, and the service is not up to par. Just not what I was expecting from this establishment. We went for afternoon tea for Mother's Day. The food was tasty but not worth the price. I've been to better afternoon tea experience for half the cost.

For $300 (including tip) we received a couple of tiniest, pre-prepared “sandwiches” on stale bread and a few pastries. Cucumber sandwiches?! Two thin stale pieces of pre cut dry bread with a slice of cucumber in the middle?! We are foodies and always happy to have a great experience, but in this case it was just unjustifiably overpriced and the service was ‘tired.’ The hotel is pretty, but I would not recommend having high tea there. Most over priced underwhelming food I have ever had.
