The Original Capo's Restaurant & Speakeasy Ratings and Reviews
This was a place recommended to me! I decided to take my hubby & friend's for their bday. It was awesome and the food was so freaking delicious! I can't stress enough how happy I was that my party of 6 loved it as well! Starting from the entrance to the very end!
Capo's is a busy restaurant with lots of people coming for dinners. There were 3 birthday parties going on when we went. The food was delicious and the ambiance was nice. It was dark so they have a mini flashlight attached to the menu. I had the Ceasar salad and veal shank and creme brule. They were all great.
Great food, great service, but really loud. I had requested to be not seated in the bar area right next to the kitchen, but yet again for the second time this month, that is where I found myself. The restaurant was busy, but since my seating preference was made clear when requesting a reservation weeks in advance, I was disappointed. I have been many times, mostly with large groups and always found the room to have a fun energy, but when seated in the hallway next to the kitchen, all I could hear was the banging of the dishes.
Capo’s was an excellent place with delicious food and a fun theme. Service was excellent and everything was tasty. Live music was great. The restaurant is very dark but they give you a flashlight with each menu which I thought was very smart and considerate!
The food was fantastic as well as the service until the server picked up the check as soon as we put it down with payment and we never saw a sole again as we continued the enjoy the great company we came with. It was a burden to stop the server to fill up our waters.
What a GREAT experience! The food was delicious, and we are food snobs! The atmosphere was perfect, like being transformed back to the "Speakeasy" era! Our wait-staff was the best; the live pianobar singer set the tone Sanatra style; and the Magic of V, a tableside magician, was outstanding!! This place is for people who can appreciate live history and have the imagination of being swept back in time.
We loved the atmosphere and the reminder of the old days - especially ringing the bell and being asked a question before we could enter. We were seated near the piano but were too early for most of the entertainment. The food was superb. We will definitely return.
One of my dining companions was sensitive to noise levels and they lowered the music to make it more comfortable for her. This is the first restaurant I've been in that actually turned down their music. The food was beyond excellent! The portions were generous. We went there after a visit to the Mob Museum as the restaurant is a speakeasy, it was in keeping with the theme. Can't wait to go back to Capo's!!!!
Everything was simply awesome. I had made reservations for 4 expecting only business colleagues and when they pulled up to the restaurant there were two extra people, but the Capo's staff was very accommodating and we only had to wait a few minutes while they reconfigured the tables. Food was great, everything from the appetizers to the desserts.
Our daughter came for early Christmas and we wanted to take her somewhere we have never been. Food was amazing! Service tip notch. We went for lunch as we had so many things planned. We will be back for diner and are bringing our friends. Thank you for a great experience!
We had a GREAT time at Capo's. It's a theme place, but not too kitchy / gimmicky. Service was flawless, and the food and cocktails were fantastic. Don't miss the meatballs appetizer. Sent friends the next day for lunch and they had a similarly wonderful experience.
We had a reservation for 11:15 and were seated promptly. The server also took our order within 3 minutes of being seated. Then we sat and waited. At least 3 people came over and asked if we were doing okay. We continued to sit and wait from 11:18 until 11:45 when our waiter came back and stated our food would be ready in about 5 more minutes. There were only 2 other couples in the place. Our food came at 11:55. Our omelettes were served in a plate of liquid and the fried potatoes were steamed and soggy too. We ordered the same dish we had the previous time that we were there because it was so delicious. They said the liquid was from the meat )Italian chopped beef. We left and will not be returning. Horrible experience. And we were planning to add this to our family reunion restaurant list. No way!!
Amazing find that you will want to tell friends and family visiting Vegas to include in their plans. The singer featured there is first rate and a perfect accompaniment to the atmosphere and dining experience provided. The Italian food is authentic and the Cesar salad served here is honestly the best I've had anywhere including what I have been served at very expensive restaurants. Give this place a try.
