Jamie ( our server ) was excellent! Night was gre, everyone provided great service. Always like coming here
What a lovely place to enjoy good food in upscale restaurant.
Jesse was a wondering waiter and our experience was great. The beet salad is excellent. My son loved the prime rib and his friend enjoyed her chicken entree. I especially enjoyed the filet with the Maryland crabcake. This was our 2nd having dinner here . We plan on celebrating our son’s college graduation here. Highly recommend Oregon Grille and ask for Jesse as your waiter.
Yes the food is delicious and the atmosphere is splendid, but the prices are absurd. I would recommend this venue for wealthy people who have love to eat so much, they feel no guilt about spending several hundred dollars on a meal.
We were there for Sunday brunch to celebrate a friend's birthday. There were lots of choices on the menu and the food was delicious. Everyone was pleased with their meal.
The food was very good as was the service. I liked that the atmosphere wasn't as stuffy as it has seemed in the past. Our waitress was very good. The pianist was excellent and played at just the right volume. Would suggest perhaps more bar room. After dinner we were going to the bar but there were just a few bar stools or space to stand there. There were tables there as well but they appeared to be set for people eating in the bar area. Will definitely be back.
Great dinner for my husband's birthday-- excellent food and ambiance. When our server forgot to put a candle in my husband's dessert, they brought out another (on the house) with a candle. By then, we were very full but it was a great gesture nonetheless. I'd like to hit their Happy Hour in the bar-- it looks more casual and they have some great specials.
We had an excellent dinner and served by an excellent waitress.
This place was very welcoming and the waiter was so nice and patient. The food was exceptional especially the cream spinach.
The food and atmosphere were great, as always. Jeff, our server was professional and personable. We were celebrating our anniversary and the Oregon Grille made the day special. The steak au poive is the best anywhere.
On our annual trip to the Baltimore area, we always try to take in a night here as the food, atmosphere & service are always top notch! The Oregon Grille has always been consistently good over the years. We will be sure to be back and especially noteworthy the grilled oyster appetizer on this visit.
Beautiful building. Love the interior decor. We had a great room with a fireplace which was much appreciated on a cold night. However, it was a small room with out table for 4, another table for 2 and then a large table for 10 or so. Luckily the large table was not seated until we were almost done. Noise level increased significantly and ruined the ambiance. Tomato and mozzarella appetizer was delicious. Filet was good but noting to rave about for the price. Others enjoyed their meals but it was very pricey for the food received.
Family celebration
Such an awesome place will definitely be back!
Great menu and very cozy
Piano was very nice in the background
On the expensive side for everyday dining but great for that special occasion
Usually have great food and service at Oregon Grille, but this visit was a miss. Server was forgetful with the orders, and some of the food came out cold. There was a large birthday party dining at the same time as us, so that might have been the reason. Will still be back.
Our third time dining here and likely our last - way too expensive for this (disappointing) level of mediocrity.
ISSUES:
1. Server was not at all enthusiastic. We wished to put in an order for our appetizers, and he instructed us to place our order in its entirety (i.e., entrees as well) for some obscure reason. We eat out quite frequently, and we'd never heard of this request.
2. Since it was our anniversary, we decided to share a 3 pound lobster. The waiter returned to inform us that they were out of them (on a Saturday night at 7:30 pm).
3. My first martini was brought to me only 1/3-1/2 full, whereas the second one was completely full. The cocktails do come with sidecars, but the overall difference in volumes was an unusual inconsistency.
4. WORST OFFENSE: My wife ordered her ($60) sirloin steak medium-rare, but is was terribly overcooked, bordering on well-done in some bites. When she brought it up with the server, he had a bizarre excuse - somehow blaming the overcooking on the fact that it's a dry-aged cut of beef. WHAT?! Not surprisingly, no effort was made to provide us with a "comp."
5. The server forgot to bring us the side of asparagus that we ordered.
6. The server forgot to bring me the cup of coffee that I ordered.
It seems to us that this is a reflection of the place resting on its laurels. Again, we're likely not to return especially when there are so very many establishments that seem to get it right every time.
Great atmosphere, service and an extensive and exceptional wine list. The food was great too. A winner for dates and memorable occasions.
Overall a very nice dining experience. First time at Oregon Grille and it was very good.
Great experience. Going back soon! From Bill to Mark the bartender, everybody was a delight!
This was our first visit, to celebrate a birthday. We're pretty sure the waiter forgot to input our order because it took 40 minutes to get our soup appetizer. It miraculously came out 5 minutes after we asked the waiter where it was. The rest of the food came promptly and was very tasty. The beef and lobster were both properly cooked and tender. March is Steak Month and they're offering a three-course deal.
We had a wonderful birthday brunch in a cozy room with our own fire place, nicely taking the chill out of the air! Our server, Jesse, was very accommodating and pleasant. The food was fresh and very delicious! Fabulous brunch options. I highly recommend the Oregon Grille. It is our "go-to" spot in Hunt Valley. Enjoy!
Our evening was spectacular. Wonderful food paired with impeccable service. I would like to personally thank the manager for offering the private dining room for the celebration of our mother’s 70th birthday. The Oregon Grille is a very special place.
As always, the Oregon Grill did not disappoint. The Grilled Oysters were sublime. Unbelievable. Lovely ambiance, fits well with the location, but still feels relaxed and laid back. I always go with the Filet Mignon. They also shake an excellent cocktail.
Oregon Grille used to be one of our favorite restaurants. I had a decline in health which kept us from going out like we used to for the past 10 years. Last night we celebrated my 37th birthday at the Oregon Grille and it was horrible. Our waiter was fantastic and the only reason we didn't cause a fuss.
My husband ordered his steak medium and it was the rarest of rare. Red and mushy. I ordered the lobster tail and filet. The lobster was difficult to cut with a steak knife and I could barely chew it. The filet was undercooked and the presentation was home cooked level at best. The rolls were fabulous as was my Maker's Manhattan. The dress code was more casual which is not the best for an "upscale" establishment and the restaurant was nearly empty. Not the Oregon Grille we loved before and we will most likely not return.
We were looking for someplace close to Wegmans to have a nice lunch. We made a reservation on Open Table for 1:00 PM. We were warmly greeted and seated in the bar as requested. What is really nice is that they offer a special lunch menu in the bar that they call 7 for $7.00. Each day is a different special. Today being Friday, we had Fish and Chips for $7.00 each. This is their twist of fish and chips presented in a wire cone. The fish was swordfish – there were 3 triangular pieces of lightly breaded fish along with not the traditional chips (French fries); but, freshly made potato chips (way too many to eat in one seating). Our server, Charles, was a delight – so friendly and attentive. We both really enjoyed our lunches. It was such a quiet and peaceful atmosphere.
4.2 Overall, a great experience. This could easily be a 5* place. It was my dad's 99 birthday, and I requested an "off the main room" place for 7. Very accommodating. Server was beyond grand. I tipped her accordingly. Water gentleman was great, except he filled the water glasses to the very top, making it hard for an older person to lift without spilling. Husband ordered a lovely salad with salmon on the top. Delivered to table was just salad with no salmon. Server had to go back to kitchen and order a salmon, which took about 10-14 minutes to prepare and was delivered to table after the salad had been eaten. We didn't even ask, but they took that off the bill. Food was great, and the atmosphere even more uniquely so. Will go back for his 100th, most definitely.
I love this restaurant because it takes me back to some of the fine dining of my childhood and
young adult life. My dad was a steeple chase jockey and a thoroughbred trainer and I relive
parts of that every time I come there. Love the food and staff. Thank you!!!!!
We have long loved the Oregon Grille, ever since it first opened years ago. It's a special place for special occasions (& I like inventing "special" reasons to go). It is not inexpensive and gents are required to wear jackets for dinner, but if you want a quiet, plush, memorable meal with fine wine or a cocktail, in Maryland's horse country, this is the place to go. The bar is fantastic; completely old-school brass, glass, mahogany. The rest of the restaurant has authentic old architecture charm, too.
Quiet, well rounded, and fantastic time. The steak is top tier .
Valentine’s Day - Service was wonderful. We were a bit late but never felt pressured for a busy night. We will request Anna next time. Veal medallions worth a repeat. Aged NY Strip tough, less flavor than expected. Bread Pudding (chocolate) my favorite. Oregon Grille is always a favorite with its dependable high quality service and food
Was very cold in the upstairs room. Felt rushed. The server was not top notch for this caliber of resturant The gentleman that greeted us at check in was not friendly at all. Not real happy with the experience.
This place is truly elegant and worth every dollar spent I loved it
Oregon Grille is one of our favorite restaurants, and we always enjoy the experience. Unfortunately, we have to say that they didn't handle Valentine's Day very well at all. When we stepped into the entry way there were 15 other people waiting to be seated. The gentleman at the desk (though the computer with the reservations was active) was writing down names but then continuously forgot them and pointed to couples and said the wrong names. Then he would walk away sometimes to seat a group other times not sure why but would be gone for an extended period of time considering people kept entering the area. It was a disorganized mess! They should have had more people assigned to seating, looking for groups that were seated in the bar, etc. There should have always been someone at the host table. Once we were seated, the food was wonderful but slow arriving. Our server was great. Will continue to come to Oregon Grille but maybe not on Valentine's Day!
The food tasted great but it took us 3 hours to get out. Every table around us would get there order taken and food very fast. Our waiter barely stopped to take our order. We had to stop him and ask him to take our order. Lots of time we would make eye contact with him while our plates were empty or we needed something. Like I said very nice place, huge sides and great steak. But our server needs to hustle up. Especially on Valentine’s Day dinner. I figured the restaurant would want to get table moving to get more people in and out. I don’t think we will be coming back next Valentine’s Day.
The atmosphere was very nice. The waiter was amazing! He was very helpful and extremely polite. The food was absolutely dreadful. I ordered the 3 pound lobster. It was so over cooked that it literally took 2 whole minutes to chew one bite. My girlfriend ordered the rack of lamb. The texture of the meat was good. But the sauce they use to season the meat was beyond words horrible, practically inedible. I would go there again for desert or drinks, but definitely not for food.
Great Valentine's dinner. Food and service were perfect and really enjoyed the pianist as well. Always a superlative experience at the Oregon Grille!
Our waiter Jesse made it a wonderful evening! We were there for Valentine’s Day and had a wonderful leisurely dinner with good food and excellent service.
Wish you were closer to Bel Air!
Our lunch was terrific with great service
we were celebrating a special occasion and this restaurant was perfect. The filet mignon and seafood special were outstanding. excellent wine list as well.
