   We enjoyed a very good lunch. I had salmon with rissotto and my friends enjoyed the leg of duck with sweet potato mash. Service was good and staff very friendly and helpful. We will be booking for a Christmas lunch.

   Went here on a Monday evening and it was pretty full. Always a good sign. Had the most amazing pizza I've had in a long time!!

   When arriving to check in for meal they could have been more attentive. We were shown to our table and they were very busy,but we didn't have to wait long for our meals to come. They were very nice. I noticed everyone was receiving a rose but for some reason I didn't ,was a bit disappointed as it was valentines day and my birthday.All I can say it was a nice pleasant reasonable set price menu for valentines day and it was well worth it and will call in again when we come to York.

   New Years eve was a disaster! We've been here several times before but this time it took 40 mins to get a drink and more than 55mins to be seated. The food wasn't great on this occasion. I think they over stretched themselves and paid the price.

   We visted on New Years Eve so understandably the restaurant was full - not a great dining experience when you are seated and people are standing around you and the door is constantly being opened by smokers and those coming and going. I expected service to be slow on a busy night, however thought it would still be acceptable as the restaurant was only offering a set menu - meaning a fair amount of the food could be prepared in advance. The waiter was short at best with us - clearly flustered with how full the restaurant was. We had to ask 4 times before water arrived. We had to ask for the bread and olives after it was missed and we'd eaten our first course. We asked 3 times for our dessert and finally a waiter arrived with mints and our bill - so had to say we hand't yet had our dessert. Food was brought without cutlery - overall not a great experience and will avoid in future even though the food was ok but was disappointed with the service.

   We booked our table through open table and received CONFIRMATION . We were surprised there were tables available on new years eve ,so my husband rang to confirm we were told we had no booking the restaurant was full and there was a problem with open table!! We were left with no where to dine on new years eve- the staff on phone were unhelpful and didn't seem bothered. I went back on your website and it was STILL taking bookings for this restaurant - this is no way to run a business! !! Who is at fault here please????? The restaurant is blaming you! This ruined our new years eve!!!
