The Olive Tree – found below Russel Street’s unique Queensberry Hotel – is one of Bath's longest established independent restaurants; it’s held a Michelin Star since 2018 and is Somerset's only 4 AA-rosette restaurant.
Chris Cleghorn is Executive Chef and the kitchen’s driving force; he honed his exceptional skills in many top restaurants,and prioritises relationships with local suppliers. By fully committing to seasonality and local produce, he showcases the best of Bath and British cuisine.
Enjoy our Taste of the Season menus in differently delicious ways:
£190 - Seven courses, along with our 'To Start', bread and 'To Finish'.
£140 - A selection of five dishes from the full menu, along with our 'To Start', bread and 'To Finish'.
£90 - Set menu of three dishes, along with our 'To Start', bread and 'To Finish'. Not available Saturday evenings or in graduation week.
£60 - Set menu of two dishes, along with our 'To Start', bread and 'To Finish'. Available at lunchtime, Friday-Sunday.

Fantastic meal and would thoroughly recommend. Only slight detractions were feeling quite rushed to start with (first course was served before first drinks had arrived) and an aggressive aircon unit, but overall still excellent.

We had the 6 course menu and enjoyed all of them. The food is beautifully presented and every dish is presented by a chef. My favourite dish was the lobster. There was a large table having dinner. Yes, they were having a good time but they didn’t spoil our time in the restaurant. Loved the dining room decor. All in all, a great restaurant and I will certainly return when I’m next in Bath.

This was a delightful restaurant where the young enthusiastic chefs got to present their food. We really liked the fact that the culture was to showcase each person’s contribution to an excellent meal. Thank you we will come back.

wonderful meal for our 25th wedding anniversary, with 4 friends. Total 6 of us. Excellently and beautifully looked after by the Olive team. Food delicious and inventive. Lobster and a rhubarb dessert my favourites! A very nice setting, beautifully calmly decorated. Nobody too near the table and easy to chat even on rectangular table for 6.

One of us ate gluten and wheat free. This was no problem to the chefs, with minimal noticeable difference between the two taster menu meals we were served. The food was beautifully presented, and the tastes were incredible. As a rare treat, well worth the money, and we’d love to return.

The food was as good as you would expect from a restaurant with a Michelin Star! I especially liked the Lobster course, I don't usually like lobster all that much but this was fantastic! Clever, appropriate wine pairings too.

A fantastic dining experience in the heart of Bath. From start to finish, we couldn't fault anything. The food is divine, beautifully presented, and each course fully explained by the chef. Each mouthful of food was a taste explosion. Highly recommend a visit at least once!
