The Olive & Grape
The Olive and Grape opened in September 2010. The owner, Paola Corsini, is third-generation Italian Levantine, born and raised in Izmir, Turkey. Paola's distinct culture is represented in the menu at The Olive and Grape. Each and every meal served is infused with the traditions of Turkish and Italian cuisine.
We went to The Olive and Grape because of Seattle Restaurant Week. We always participate in that as a way to try out restaurants that we have never been to before.
This one was a gem. We had an early dinner reservation and everything was just great. They had a nice choice of appetizers that allowed us to sample the Turkish/Greek food that the restaurant focuses on. For main dishes my wife had Salmon Gnocci and I had Kebobs (chicken and beef). Both dishes were flavorful and perfectly cooked. For dessert my wife had Baclava and I had a home made sorbet- we shared and both were wonderful.
Service was just right. They seem to work as a team and the courtesy and pace of the service was perfect; no complaints at all.
We don't always "hit a home run" with our Restaurant Week experiences but I can only say that we plan to go back to the Olive and Grape and would recommend it to friends and family.
Wonderful time. Warm. Cozy. Delicious food. Great location.
The Olive & Grape never disappoints, is always a 5 star, quaint, the food is perfectly prepared, and absolutely delicious. It doesn't get any better. Be sure to have some Fainting Goat ice cream for dessert.
The Olive & Grape is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is delicious and the owners and waitstaff are very attentive. It has a comfortable, relaxing ambiance.
The service was wonderful, friendly, and helpful. The food was excellent, just what we expected, tasty, nice portions.
Good food reasonable prices and friendly service staff
So much fun to try this place! We only get out of our comfort zone during Restaurant Week. Wanted to try something new in the north end. The Olive & Grape did not disappoint! Best dolmades I've ever had. The food we had was all delicious. We are excited to come back again!
Delicious food, cute and cozy restaurant. We really enjoyed it!
Too bad I can't afford Olive & Grape except during Restaurant Week. My fave restaurant!! The food is divine, the service is perfect, the ambiance is fun, imaginative, comfortable, the Turkish coffee is served in exotic, charming cups & carafe. I LOVE Olive & Grape! I am grateful they continue to offer generous Restaurant Week offerings. I have gone there many times & never had anything but a marvelous time.
Our first time dining at The Olive & Grape and it did not disappoint. Food was delicious. We ordered from the Seattle Restaurant Week menu and started with Arancini and Turkish Sampler. For the main entree we had rib eye steak with shrimp and the kebab trio. Dessert was baklava. Staff was super friendly and helpful with the menu. We live across town but we would be happy to make the trek for this food.
The Olive and Grape was a very nice place to meet friends for dinner. We were warmly welcomed and had a very tasty dinner.....all ordering different things. I appreciated that we could vary in portion size. I had a lovely soup and a half salad, which was perfect for me. Staff were attentive and helpful. The noise level was reasonably quiet, which was perfect for our party of four. Thank you for a great dinner. We will definitely return.
Paola is amazing and gracious with every guest, no matter how busy they are! We love to come and visit often and the food and service never disappoint!
Let’s just say the food didn’t taste that fresh and the baklava was made with sugar syrup and few nuts. Not an impressive experience, but fine.
A very nice family owned restaurant. We go back every month or so. We've always received good service and good food.
The service was kind and helpful, right there when we needed them. The food was good, although my vegetables were way overcooked in the vegetarian polenta. Everyone else had only positive things to say about their meals. The fresh salads really looked fresh, and the two who had soup, liked it. The kitchen is outdated and a little grubby looking. The table was sticky from grease dried on. The chair I sat on was stained (scary) and the wait staff and utensils could use a little polish. I was also glad we were there during the daytime as the sidewalk was littered with shopping carts and debris and interesting people. I will not eat there again, for the reasons stated. I think there are probably better options.
Great little family owned place.
Yummy food, good wine, homey atmosphere- perfect spot eat before seeing a show at Taproot Theater.
I've brought several friends here because the food is consistently excellent, the staff is great, and the owner's awesome.
Very romantic the host(ess) gives very good advise with respect to menu options and perfect wine-paring. It is nearby for US, North Beach, has available parking, is part of a nice neighborhood with many restaurant options. We like the Meditareanean and Balkan inspired palette.
Still the best food, most fun atmosphere, and friendliest staff in Greenwood!
We celebrated my husband's birthday! with kids in tow.. Food was very good and staff very accommodating with the my little ones. We brought our cake and they helps us setting up and candles.
It was a great night.
Still the best value in Greenwood! Fresh, healthy food prepared by a chef who knows and cares about quality and value. Especially great menu for low-carbohydrate diets.
Delightful waitress - helped us with our menu (and proper Turkish pronunciations). Food was excellent and transported my friends and I back to our time together traveling through that country.
This restaurant had a warm welcoming small neighborhood feeling like you were invited to a friends family dinner. The chef was working service with 2 young men (probably sons). Even included some minor bickering for authenticity. Everyone showed a sincerity and concern for delivering a nice Valentines experience. The salmon gnocchi was not complicated but tasted yummy. Good place for a contrasting experience to capitol hill.
My favorite place for Turkish food! But they also have very tasty Greek and Italian offerings. Service is friendly and efficient. Took my parents for their first time. We ordered the Turkish platter, octopus leg (AMAZING!), Greek and arugula salads, two Turkish dishes, a Greek kabob duo, gelato, baklava, tiramisu and Turkish coffees. We would order every item again!
Excellent Mediterranean food and service. Full bar and oppen cooking area. We were there on a weekday evening so there were only a few other diners. On weekends, you should make reservations. Moderately high cost but worth it! We will be going back soon!
The delightful staff at Olive & Grape continues to give us attentive, cheerful service along with excellent food at very reasonable prices. Our favorite dining place when we come to Taproot Theatre plays!
Thanks so much.
We love Paola and Chris. Lovely evening with friends.
Excellent experience! Paola and Chris did a fantastic job of making our party feel comfortable. Food was amazing, can't go wrong with the dolmades!
We went for dinner on NYE and enjoyed a great meal and live music. Very yummy and nice to have some entertainment.
Really enjoyed the staff and food and will come again.
We went to the O & G before walking to the Taproot theater. Wonderful experience!!!
A real find. Free parking nearby, very good Greek Restaurant.
We enjoyed the pasta dishes and Greek salad.s. The portions were generous. It was very convenient to the Taproot theater. The service felt slow and we had 2 different servers, neither of whom were particularly friendly. I would try it again.
My go-to restaurant in the Greenwood area. Excellent and consistent food that always pleases my guests. The Masakka is completely different than any you have ever had. I order it every time I go, not heavy - but very light with a ton of veggies. The Turkish Alinazik is also very good if you eat beef. A lot of vegetarian options to chose from as well. HIghly recommended.
The Olive and The Grape is very good spot to share a meal with family and friends and they do a good job of accommodating you when wanting to make it to the theatre.
We had a good time and the food was tasty. There feta cheese was very good.
We love Olive & Grape and will be back there in the next few weeks.
I enjoy eating at this restaurant. The food is great. They are crowded so it took some time to find a table when our reservation was at 6.
