The Olde Pink House Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Everything about the Olde Pink House was excellent. The wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable, and made great recommendations. Every item we ordered was delicious and cooked perfectly. After dinner, we ordered drinks at the basement bar, which had great ambience as well as friendly bartenders. I will be sure to visit again every time I’m in Savannah.
Incredible restaurant with amazing food! We had to ask several times to get to a table that was perfect but staff was accommodating and we ended up having dinner in a wonderful room of the house called the office. Very charming! They also were wonderful accommodating us with our gluten and diet restrictions!
What a beautiful restaurant in charming Savannah. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We had the shrimp and grits and cornbread fried oysters as an appetizer. For dinner we had the whole flounder and the fried lobster. Both were amazing. The collards are a must.
Enjoyed visiting Savannah this weekend! So glad we made reservations at The Olde Pink House. The service and meal were exceptional. The basement bar followed which offered live music and a quaint and comfortable setting for drinks by the fire! Visiting and dining is a MUST......
This is great for a treat or if you have an open line of credit. The staff was great - friendly, knowledgeable, eager to serve. Food was very good to excellent. I told our waiter I thought the collards were better than the Mac and cheese. He almost choked. I would hav bout more salt in the pasta water. The collards were perfect. Dessert should be split with someone at your table. It is important to
Know the entrance on Abercorn Street is not handicap friendly, but the side entrance on Bryan Street is. They also have an elevator.
Booked this reservation weeks and weeks prior to the date. Asked to be sat in front of a fireplace, they put us in a back room adjacent to a fireplace that was barely lit, in a corner. Our candle at our table was out the whole time - therefore we were sitting in the dark. Our waiter stated things such as our wine choice "was not as good or as flavorful as others, but ok," among other remarks while we were seated. The food was then brought out freezing cold, and too quickly- making it feel as though we were receiving an order that was messed up. We didn't get our bread until we were paying for the meal at the end. The whole time we just felt rushed. It was completely unpleasant which is entirely too bad, as I was looking forward to a dinner with my mother here. Will not be recommending it again; I feel the house itself is what sells, but there are many other better options in Savannah.
Beautiful historic setting. Gracious attentive staff (almost too attentive, we were asked if we were ready to order 4 times before our drinks came). There were six of us, so we had decent smattering of the menu, and everything was just about average. I ordered a Bloody Mary, after being told by the server that they were excellent, only to find that it too was boring and mediocre at best.
Nice building, friendly folks, we checked this on off our Savannah list, but we won’t go back.
Truely disappointed. I never leave bad reviews but i really wanted to love this place. My 4 friends and I had lunch here Saturday for my sisters bachelorette party weekend. Our server was very nice, but never came around. We ordered our drinks and after 20 minutes they still hadn’t come out. Our food arrived before our drinks. The server spilled the brides drink and took another 15 minutes to get a new one.
The food was horrible.
The portions were incredibly small and i am not a big eater. I ordered the crab cake entree. It came with a tiny crab cake and two fried green tomatoes. The tomatoes tasted like cardboard. I will not be going back to this place.
We visited The Olde Pink House on Saturday for a "delayed" birthday lunch. The food was absolutely fantastic. I had pulled pork nachos on blue corn chips along with a strawberry salad -- makes my mouth water just thinking about it! My husband had she-crab soup and another fish dish that he enjoyed immensely (as I don't eat seafood, I didn't pay much attention.) It was a beautiful, old mansion with attentive, polite servers. I truly don't think it could have been better!
Excellent, excellent service. We ordered calamari and green tomato apps to share, and then the fried chicken, scallop and shrimp pasta, and the grouper special. Everything was luscious with two exceptions: 1) almost all of the calamari were the bodies (we prefer at least a 50:50 mix of the rings and the bodies) and 2) the mac and cheese was a bit old and dry (not creamy and cheesy as usual). The three entrees themselves were "best in class".
Not enough to keep us from happily returning next time we're in Savannah, just wanted to let someone know so we can enjoy it even more next time.
For what you're paying the portions were small and the flavors were not extraordinary. We ordered a shrimp appetizer that only included 3 pieces split between two people; for the price the food quantity should have been adjusted. Service was great! Cocktails were over priced. Decor is very romantic.
Our server was wonderful. The food was great! The cheese board was amazing! The filet mignon was so tender! My only complaint would be... My half of duck was 2 legs and 2 thighs. It should have said that in the description on the menu. Overall, we had a wonderful dinner.
Always a good choice in Savannah. Traditional southern food but more variety than the Paula Deen type of places that only serve fried chicken. BUT I must admit that I expect higher quality from this place - because of their marketing, prices and how it is hyped.
This has always been a great go to restaurant. My mom and I chose to go here for lunch. We had the fried green tomatoes for an appetizer and both of us had the shrimp and grits for our entree. Everything was delicious! This restaurant has the best wait staff of any restaurant, they are so attentive to your needs. We have come here many times, for lunch and dinner, we've never been disappointed. Also, this restaurant has plenty of parking near by. There are two parking garages one to the left and one to the right of the restaurant. Bon'Apetit
My mother and I took my 3 young kids to The Olde Pink House for lunch. It was the kind of risk that you know might go very wrong but is worth trying for the experience. We had a great lunch. The staff was very attentive, our food came out very quickly. They have a nice kid's meal selection. I had the Southern Sushi (good) and the BLT salad (unforgettable.) The restaurant was busy but we didn't feel crowded or rushed. It's a beautiful space and we were able to tour a little of it after dining.
A trip to Savannah would not be complete for us without having a wonderful meal at the Olde pink House restaurant. We are always welcomed back and recognized as past customers which makes us feel at home. Our waitress’ name was Angel. She was very attentive, very polite and made excellent recommendations for menu selections. My husband and I both enjoyed our lunch selection of the country fried chicken. I ordered mine as presented on the menu which included mashed potatoes and collard greens. ( cooked to true southern standards) Not a big fan of collard greens my husband substituted the macaroni and cheese. We were both satisfied with our selection as it was delicious and filling. When the dessert menu arrived we changed our minds and decided to share the delicious pecan pie and homemade ice cream. That finished off a perfect lunch.
If you’ve never been to the Olde pink House make sure you listen to the history and if not too crowded to walk around and view the different rooms. It is a beautiful. It is a Home with lots of history. It is a place where you can relax and enjoy a good conversation and a good meal surrounded by staff who share the responsibility of insuring each patron has refreshed drinks and clears away dishes. Each time we have gone the manager has stop by our table to make sure that our meal was satisfactory. As she recognizes us as past customers she always ask how we’ve been since the last time she saw us.
You will find true southern hospitality here at the Olde pink House.
First time in Savannah. My wife and I chose your restaurant for our one special dinner. Enjoyed our seafood choices; I had the flounder while why wife had the scallops. Both were excellent along with our wine.
Would highly recommend The Olde Pink House to anyone who doesn’t want to be disappointed.
To start with, the menu is amazing! The food was outstanding! The choices were abundant, service was excellent, the ambience is totally southern and lovely. We spent a month in Savannah visiting our kids and took them out to dinner for our last night. It was a wonderful finish to a great trip. Don't bother counting calories. As my daughter-in-said, "just enjoy it!" She was right!
