The Olde Pink House Restaurant
Bar Menu: Tuesday – Saturday 2:30-5:00
Dinner: Monday – Sunday 5:00-10:30
Great BLT salad, the side of shredded squash was delicious. Staff all seemed enthusiastic to share the history of the house and their ghost stories
After reading all the great reviews, my wife and I were disappointed. I made a reservation a little over a month before our arrival in Savannah. We were hoping for an intimate dinner experience in a restaurant with ambience and atmosphere. We saw several very lovely rooms that would meet this expectation, but we were seated in a very noisy ballroom, with our table against an interior wall. We had trouble hearing what the waiter said and talking to each other required us to raise our voices.
The food was very good, and the service was excellent, but the atmosphere of where we were seated diminished the experience significantly.
Always a good meal with great service
Such an interesting historic building with many rooms to dine. The service was incredible. Very professional and attentive. The food was delicious especially the pork shank. Very reasonable pricing.
Went to the Olde Pink House for a special night out. This was not our first visit there and have always had excellent service, food and experience in the past. On 10/18/2018 our server was inattentive at best. She did not get my order right and never came back to check on us until I was done. Another person checked on us and brought my missing potato’s. My wife and I also were never offered a second drink and did not have our waters topped off when empty. When we got there were were waiting for out waitress for a while. Another waiter stopped, for us our water and read us the specials. Eventually our waitress came but, took our order and only stopped by once during our meal. Not what I would expect from this type of restaurant. I could have gone to McDonalds and got better service.
Just to be fair. The food and ambiance were excellent!
The Olde Pink House is absolutely beautiful, the atmosphere really makes you feel as though you’ve stepped back in time to fine dining in the antebellum south. The one downside for us was the service. We had an 8 pm reservation and we weren’t seated until around 8:40 pm and then didn’t even see our waiter until around 9, then it kind of felt like we kept being forgotten for periods of time. He in general wasn’t very helpful and didn’t seem to want to be there. The food was very delicious. we got the crab cakes, “cakes” plural isn’t really shouldn’t be on the menu though because you literally only get one; that being said it was fantastic, just a little stingy for the price. I got the seafood pasta and they were the best scallops I’ve ever had. My boyfriend got the pork Chop and he seemed very happy with it. I got the pink lady cocktail and it was fabulous. The best part of our experience was getting drinks in the cellar tavern, make it a point to do so if you visit.
The Olde Pink House came highly recommended by friends who had visited Savannah. It lived up to its reputation as being a wonderful Southern restaurant. We had a great meal and great service. The quiet atmosphere was a welcome change from so many restaurants that are incredibly noisy nowadays. It was a highlight of our visit to Savannah.
My husband and I enjoyed a phenomenal dinner- we shared the fried green tomatoes and a special black grouper. The appetizer was delicious and the entree was even better!
Food and service were great. Wide selection. Very attentive to gluten free. Only negative was a bit dark and very noisy.
Went for the first time 4 years ago for our anniversary and had a pleasant experience Thought we’d go back again to celebrate and was disappointed.
Sent the apps back, too cold. Should’ve refused then the second time they came out for the same reason, but was too hungry
Entrees were ok, nothing spectacular.
Service. Our server needs a new line, he’s not here to cheat me, just treat me. The first time was funny, the fifth time was a little much.
Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. More tourist trap than anything.
The service was unexpectedly poor for this caliber of a restaurant. The food was good , but not great. We had a lot of way better meals in the city during our stay and came to the Pink House due to all the reviews and suggestions that this was a must visit. I would say that there are way better meals to be had throughout the city.
Excellent shrimp and grits with yummy collard greens.
Luncheon at the Olde Pink House was such a treat! Our waiter, Darius, was a delightful young man. He was very helpful and attentive. The food was wonderful. My husband said his shrimp and grits was the best he has eaten. I had Country Fried Chicken. I LOVE fried chicken and have eaten it lots of places. This was spot on....moist, boneless breast meat with a fabulous crispy skin. The gravy was wonderful, as well. We will definitely visit the Olde Pink House on our next trip to Savannah!
The beautiful decor and history of the building is worth the experience, but I also loved the crispy duck and mashed potatoes (added side ;-).
The drinks are a bit of a “short pour”, but small complaint.
Wonderful experience.... food service and ambiance were beyond all expectations.....
Enjoyed my birthday dinner here. Really cool place and everyone was very pleasant. Make sure you make a reservation or wait could be 1-2 hours
My wife and I went for our anniversary, the food was great nd service was awesome. Would recommend this to anyone.
Overrated! Dinner was good, not great, service was very slow (6:00 reservation/finished at 8:15 with no dessert), and place lacks modern A/C. Good establishment to go for a drink and maybe an appetizer and to enjoy the ambience.......... but eat BEFORE you go.
Food was delicious. Waiter was very helpful and attentive.
It was absolutely wonderful great service and excellent food. Well worth the money. Marquelle was awesome and knowledgeable
I was super excited to revisit the Olde Pink House considering dinner on Friday night was AMAZING! Today’s service and food was disappointing. The hostess and greeter Allana and Marcell (i think) we’re phenomenal. Our server Shay was inattentive and I really felt stereotyped. We were seated for 13 minutes before she ever greeted our table while I watched her service other tables. Our order was taken by the greeter not our server. Our drinks took even longer. We weren’t presented or even offered the complimentary cheese sticks. I’m just disappointed
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the beautiful Olde Pink House! It did not disappoint and we hope to visit again soon! Our server was wonderful, food excellent!
Awesome experience at The Olde Pink House this week for my anniversary. The food was exquisite and the service impeccable. I will definitely return the next time I'm in Savannah.
The restaurant is beautiful and the service is excellent. The food we tried wasn't as impressive...
Steak was cooked perfect, but the sauce was not great. Asparagus as a side was ok, but nothing special. I also ordered a mac and cheese which I thought will be amazing in a restaurant such high quality, but it was actually very plane.
Fantastic food and even better service! One of the best restaurants in Savannah. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants great ambiance and an amazing meal.
My biggest disappointment was there was 0 engagement with the historic building; I still know nothing of the history of the building. Food was good but I’ve had better; service was only ok (but Amy the maitre’d was awesome!)
Outstanding. Great meal and service. Wonderful vacation destination.
Beautiful historic building and fabulous restaurant. We finished off our week's stay in Savannah with dinner here and weren't disappointed. Chris, our waiter, was exceptional and shared the history of the building along with excellent service. A definite must on your Savannah visits!
This is a very nice restaurant. The inside is so beautiful! It was very good food but my she crab soup was barely warm. It tasted fantastic, I just wish it was warmer. The same for the mac n cheese that came with my fried chicken. It tasted good but was not warm. I feel that this place could be phenomenal with just taking care of these little details.
We were seated on time in a beautiful room and had great service and delicious food
Very disappointing. The Pink House is supposed to be Savannah’s premier restaurant. The food was mediocre, the service was poor. There was s cluster of people greeting you at the door and as you left — 5 people. Why? We weren’t told of a grouper special. We were told there was only one salmon dish left and then another miraculously appeared. The blackened oysters were inedible. Very strange experience.
Very impressed. I want to go back asap. Great food and atmopshere
Had a lovely evening at the Olde Pink House - some things were expected, but others were surprises. One wonderful thing was that the staff - from the front-desk staff to the waitstaff - were very professional, but also warm, friendly and truly nice. I often expect some kind of strange snobbery in these places, and these folks were all delightful. Was fun to get a drink before dinner in the bar downstairs - the hostesses and servers there made it all very comfortable (I'm not sure how they kept track of us to come get us when our actual reservation time was ready, but they did!) Food was very good, and the check was surprisingly un-crazy, even with wine and cocktails included. Definitely a good choice for a special occasion or a last-night-in Savannah dinner. Wouldn't change a thing.
Fantastic location for dinner. Mansion ambiance was great! Appetizers, meals and drinks were excellent. Ordered our meals, then was told they ran out of one meal and to pick another. I understand that can happen, but was disappointed the staff or manager didn’t try to even offer a drink or dessert for not meeting our expected meal choice. That was a customer service miss for me!
Had a great time, enjoyed grabbing a drink in the basement before our dinner. One of the highlights of Savannah.
Very impressed with the staff, the food and the surroundings. We arrived on-time on a busy Sunday night and were seated immediately. Server was very knowledgeable and steered us to a Pinot Noir that paired very well with our seafood. The wine was also in the bottom third of the price hierarchy. Portions were ample.
We celebrated a birthday. The server was great, the food was good. Nice atmosphere. It was expensive, but for a nice dinner on vacation- we couldn't complain much. Would absolutely recommend taking a look around. The place is beautiful.
An exceptional night out. We ate in the Great Hall - and it was quite loud, but if you request any of the other rooms, it will be much quieter. Do yourself a favor, eat down in the bank vault in the tavern or out on the balcony. Gorgeous, and phenomenal, accommodating service.
Greeted warmly and promptly seated. Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive and we had his recommended appetizer of grits and cheese and shrimp. My first grit experience - outstanding. For main I had the bourbon soaked pork tenderloin with collards and sweet potato, I loved this dish. The pork was melt in your mouth, greens were interesting (1st experience for me) and the sweet potatoes was heavenly. My husband had the fried chicken and collards and sweet potatoes. Unfortunately his chicken, although delicious was overshadowed by the sides. One tiny piece of chicken next to two mounds of veggies. We declined dessert as I was stuffed from all the rich enjoyable food. We thought it was very good value and a lovely evening.
Food was fantastic. Our waiter Josh was very knowledgeable about the menu helping us with our choices for dinner. And his narrative of the history of the building was wonderfully entertaining. We had a great time and can’t wait to go back
