Great food. Good service but a little slow - did not check on us once our main course arrived.
My date and I arrived for a 10 pm reservation. We both work in the service industry and we’re worried that we may not receive that same service as those who attend during normal dining hours.
Upon arrival the host asked if we would like to dine downstairs with the live entertainment however there were no seats available. We opted to dine in the main dining room and were escorted back up. Initially we were greeted by a server who did not wish to have another table so we were seated with Nick instead.
A gentlemen from NYC, Nick was both professional and polite showing us both respect and true southern hospitality. Every course he served was both timely and delicious. His recommendation on dessert was perfect for both our wine and the mood.
The chefs food was cooked to perfection and presented with the utmost care.
Our only disappointment was the very evident lack of hospitality from the rest of the staff including the manager on duty, a middle aged woman with short dark hair. She made eye contact several times but at no point spoke with either of us nor checked on our meal or service.
As locals we will absolutely return if only for the delicious food and to ask for Nick again as he made us feel not only wanted but special on our one night out.
Very nice dinner in a beautiful place. The fried chicken was the bomb!
Had a great time with great friends and the service was wonderful !
Wow- what a gem! This restaurant is beautiful and full of history. You feel like you went back in time when you are dining here. The bar is in the basement and feels like a real southern speakeasy fit with live piano player and wine cellar. The food was delicious; however, we had a later reservation and they were sold out of two dishes that I wanted off the menu.
Wonderful service from Charles and Chris. Sat in a cozy room with only three tables and a fireplace. They scored crispy flounder was wonderful, something I never had before.
Bar was extremely crowded where we stood for at least 30 minutes. They were 5 minutes late in calling us so I went to the greeting stand to inquire and they said table was ready. Most disappointing, the food was mediocre. The Chef’s fried chicken was dry. We dined at 4 Savannah restaurants and this was tied for third.
Phenomenal experience!!! Everything was absolutely perfect.
Wow! This place is incredible. Located in the historic district of Savannah you feel history and stories oozing from the building. Multiple levels are within this old mAnsion and the bar in the basement cannot be missed!!! Each room has a unique feel to it and the room we were sat in was quite grand. Lit by candlelight and beautiful crystal chandeliers. The food was incredible and the service was great. I actually left my wallet outside on a bench in front of the restaurant. Noticed it the following morning. It was turned into management and I got it back with nothing taken. Excellent!!! I cannot wait to go back! THANK YOU!!
We were very pleased to be able to reserve a table within 30 minutes of finding them on Open Table. The food was quintessential Southern food. The tavern below was sexy, dark and mysterious with fabulous cocktails. Fantastic wine list too! We will definitely be back!
The waiter ,C J, was very attentive and kind. The manager Reggie and assistant manager were lovely.
The food was very Southern and compliments our stay in Savannah.
Great south Georgia original environment. We had excellent service and the unique Savanah cuisine was fun.
We really enjoyed this restaurant. The fried green tomato and crab cake appetizer was delicious. I enjoyed the pork shank but felt the collard greens were a bit salty. My friends enjoyed the stuffed grouper special as well. Lovely place.
The Olde Pink House definitely lives up to the hype, our entire experience was nothing short of amazing. The building is beautiful and grand, the atmosphere is great. Our waiter Nick was fabulous, he was polite, knowledgable and kept the dinner courses flowing at a great pace. Our meal itself was the best meal my husband and I have had hands down anywhere, from the flavors to the presentation every aspect was sheer perfection. We will definitely make The Olde Pink House a must visit if we ever find ourselves in the area again, or we might just make it a reason to visit again......yes it is that delicious and incredible of an experience!
Very excellent restaurant, food, and service. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Savannah
To the restaurants credit this was a very busy holiday. With that in mind, the two salads we ordered had been sitting around pre-made for quite sometime. The lettuce/greens were warm and wilted. It was ok but definitely not worth $12. The fried chicken was outstanding but the side of Mac and cheese was cold and dried out. Like it was made a week ago, left out and never reheated. Unless this is how Mac and cheese is done in the south either way, where I come from it was awful and inedible. But the worst part was the service. From delivering the food, to taking our order, to clearing the table, the staff was not properly trained. It took 30 min from the time our plates were cleared to getting the check. There never asked if we would like dessert, coffee, drinks, etc. They did not even bring the bill until I finally waved the waiter down and asked for it. Unless want just for really good fried chicken at $29 a plate I would go elsewhere.
Birthday - guest order an appetizer and waiter did not capture in order - table was done with apps when his finally arrived. My dinner was not hot or even warm when it arrived in front of me and that tells me it was sitting back in the kitchen waiting to be delivered. The room we were in was extremely loud and noisy - looked to be a ballroom on second floor - nothing was absorbing the sound and I could not even talk to my guests because we could not hear each other. I made the reservation well In advance of the holiday and overall was greatly disappointed and did not enjoy the experience.
If in Savannah a visit to the olde pink house is a must! The food and ambience is exceptional!
My sister and I were visiting Savannah for a long weekend road trip. I wanted to make dinner reservations at a highly-rated, somewhat elegant restaurant to make it extra special. I researched ahead of time (good thing!) and made the reservations through Open Table well in advance. Unfortunately for us, it was St. Patrick’s Day that had to be chosen for our dinner. Downtown Savannah was a complete madhouse (and this is an understatement); the conveniently-located parking structure across the street was full; we had to try our luck finding a parking space elsewhere. This turned out to be about two blocks away.
That being said, The Olde Pink House is a beautiful historic building. I’m not sure if it was because of the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, but the restaurant was completely full and rather loud inside. I overheard people without reservations being told that there was a three-hour wait. We were seated promptly at a table upstairs. The dining room was indeed elegantly decorated. If there is a dress code, as I think that a place of this caliber should have, it was shame that many of the patrons were not following it.
Our drinks were wonderful and were not short on the alcohol. All of our food, from the she-crab soup and salads to our entrees, was absolutely delicious and expertly prepared. We were too full for dessert! Service was very slow, however; once again, this could have been because of the holiday.
St. Patrick’s Day family weekend.
Our table was ready. Our waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable. The food was excellent. This was time and money well spent.
Great service, food quality and presentation was fantastic! Can’t wait to come back.
Beautifully appointed restaurant with a great location and view.
Unfortunately our food took an excessive amount of time to come out. The waiter realized this and gave us complementary soup while we waited. After eating the soup, and waiting so long for our food, we were no longer hungry when the food came out. The waiter let us know the food would be free and boxed it up for us to take home. Overall happy.
During our Girl's Weekend in Savannah, the Olde Pink House was a must and they certainly did not disappoint! The night we went happened to be my birthday and they made it so special! Not to mention the food was DELICIOUS!
This was our first experience at Old Pink House and i must say it was a lovely treat! Food was amazing to say the least. We are true southerns and love home cooked food. The collard greens were PHENOMENAL!! We sent our compliments to the chef they were so good! I love shrimp and grits, all i can say is i would eat them everyday if i could they were That good! Next time we are in Savannah we will be back!!!
This was my second time to dine at The Olde Pink House. It has a fun atmosphere and the food is good. I was not aware of the new banquet room, which is where we were seated. It was excessively loud and we requested to be moved to one of the original rooms which they did without hesitation. I was thrilled that they were able to accommodate our request. The banquet room might work for larger groups but if you are looking for a more intimate experience, I suggest requesting one of the original rooms.
The Olde Pink House is awesome. Great food, service, and the basement/ bar area is the best area to dine.
Hubby & I went for dinner. It was our first time. We started with the crab cakes & fried green tomatoes. I followed with the jumbo scallops & mashed potatoes & my husband had the shrimp fettuccine. Everything was delicious. I tasted my husband’s fettuccine and it was super creamy like I like it. We ended with the Praline Basket which was out of this world. You cannot have dinner here without trying that. Afterwards our waiter showed us around and took us to the piano bar downstairs which I had expressed an interest in. The only thing that kept me from giving 5 starts was that we waited a while before we got our drinks. Considering we came the Friday before St. Patrick’s Day and they were super busy I’m not surprised. Our waiter did his best. We will definitely go back.
Food, staff, everyth
Everything we tried was very good. The pink lady cocktail is very nice.
Ate here 20 years ago for our 25th wedding anniverary— was traveling through Savannah and decided to dine there again
Fantastic food, fabulous service
One of the country’s best
What an amazing experience! Fantastic wait staff, especially MK. Food was great and the dessert alone was worth the trip. They took extra special care of us for our anniversary.
Great romantic dinner while on vacation
Old Pink House is always very good -- good food good service, pleasant ambiance. Highly recommend!
Good food in an historic home in an historic area. The waitress welcomed us to tour the home after lunch which was kind of awkward wondering around while others are dining. The basement is the jewel, though. Supposedly haunted, the basement cellar looks like the perfect gentleman’s hideout. Nice club chairs, bar and dining in separate rooms. Overall great experience. Super friendly staff. A must stop for any first time Savannah visitor.
Fantastic service and delicious food! I am definitely coming back here with my friends and family.
My husbands birthday dinner. So noisy I wanted to leave. Fried chicken was dry and hard. Very overdone.
Beautiful surroundings but felt it was a “system ‘ Walt Disney
The best meal that we had On our entire trip. Highly recommend this restaurant. Everything about it was perfect..
