The Olde Pink House Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
This was a spur of the moment decision to eat here and we were not disappointed! The food was amazing, the service was impeccable and the atmosphere is beautiful. Our server Angela was very helpful in directing us in all of the right directions of what we may like to eat and drink. Thank you Angela, you made our experience here delightful!! We cannot wait to visit Savannah again just to eat at The Olde Pink House again.
Every year my wife celebrate our anniversary at the Olde Pink House, normally it’s a fantastic experience. This time the crab made my wife sick, I only got one refill since the waitress was busy. My wife’s order wasn’t correct but the manager was able to correct that so that wasn’t so bad. But when they were giving my wife her order they left her side dish on the trey and walked off. Like I said, we go every year for our anniversary to the Pink House, but the service and food wasn’t as good as it normally was. I took my wife to another restaurant to redo the night since we travel to Savannah every year. Hopefully next year it will be the normal fantastic service we were use to there since we really love eating there.
Great solo dining experience! Corner table, wasn't made to feel awkward dining out on my own while on a business trip. Fried green tomato appetizer was delicious! The Proper was a delicious cocktail. Grilled pork tenderloin entree cooked perfectly, and the sweet potato was amazing. Every detail was thoughtful. And like most of historic Savannah, a ghost story or two.
Had always wanted to dine at the Okde Pink House. We're lucky enough to get a special private tour or house and hear the history of this magnificent building. Ate in the office room. Beautiful and quiet. Very romantic for our special night. The food was amazing. The artichoke fritters were unbelievable and the scored flounder was rated as the best my date had ever had!!! Service was fabulous. A must do if in Savannah area.
The pork shank, fried lobster tails, and collard greens were amazing. The mac n cheese was subpar which surprised me. The service was great. We had a reservation and they sat us right away. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the food and attentive to anything we needed.
We were celebrating our 25th anniversary with a trip to Savannah. This was our actual anniversary date dinner. It was an unforgettable experience! They surprised us with a dozen roses and a special “happy anniversary” moment. The food was absolutely incredible and the service excellent! Definitely our favorite experience of the entire trip.
On my fifth trip to Savannah, GA I finally dined at The Old Pink House Restaurant. The staff was so friendly, gave a tour to us of the House and different rooms, reviewed the history of the House, and our wait staff (Gwen) was knowledgeable and her suggestions were authentic. I would like to come back, sit in "The President's Office", a cozy/small room with great views.
Our meal was ok but our waitress was not. The food was served cold. Our server chatted to the people next to us throughout our meal and never shut up even when she delivered them their food. She was talking about a family member's heath problems and bloody noses and such. Very inappropriate and gross to hear. I am sure she is very nice but does not belong in such an elegant venue. Needs some polishing and grooming tips. She pretty much forgot about us after taking our order. It started out on a good note but hearing her talk for over an hour was infuriating. I don't think the customers knew how to tell her to go away. I was offered to speak with the manager about my experience which I did. The atmosphere was wonderful but the food was mediocre for the price I think. I had the duck which could have been better if served warm. We dined in five different restaurants over four days in Savannah and Pink House was not high on our list at all. We loved the pub downstairs for drinks. I might give the restaurant another chance but my friend would never go back.
Wonderful ambience & terrific food. Our server, Sarah, was delightful.
Unfortunately, we went downstairs to their Tavern & the hostess would not seat us even though there were many empty tables. Especially annoying since there weren’t enough seats for us at the bar.
Meals for 5 people were delicious but not excellent. Collard greens as a side were lukewarm. Cesar salad had brown tips, requested another one and it appeared the same. Compensation was provided for the salad and soup that was ordered. Would be willing to try restaurant again.
We were very disappointed as virtually everyone had recommended this restaurant as a “have to go” place in Savannah. One of our meals was served cold and after returning it, it came out cold again. Our server was very apologetic; however, the manager treated our complaint as an inconvenience, to him.
It was my best friend’s 60th birthday and we really wanted to celebrate someplace nice. This was the perfect spot. It came as a recommendation from another friend of mine. So glad we were able to get a reservation. I ordered the salmon with dill cucumbers over mashed potatoes, my friend had the pork shank and my other friend ordered the rib eye. Everything was cooked to perfection.
I do want to say a huge “ thank you” to the entire staff. Because of its history and beauty, you are encouraged to walk around and view the different rooms in this old home. No matter where we were, and the place was crowded, they made us feel welcomed. One waiter even stopped what he was doing and gave us a tour. This is customer service at its highest.
I would most definitely recommend this restaurant for any occasion. If you have to choose just one nice place to eat while in Savannah, make it The Olde Pink House.
Amy was awesome, very attentive and did an outstanding job even when I thought she forgot something, she proved she did not. She treated me as though I was important and had value to her like a vip. The Manager i cant remember her name, but she was awesome as well. I even have a connect for blue points coming up in december. My wife and I have dealt with waiter/waitress profiling many times before. We are Melanated people (black) and most wait staff see us and assume we wont tip, we then get non tip worthy service, which leads to a poor tip. So basically the wait staffs assumption becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. I can say that I believe the attentive staff at The Pink House hasnt prejudged me yet. Amy was on it. Thanks Amy and the staff at the Pink House, you made me happy which made my wife happy.
Obviously you go for the ambiance and The Ole Pink House didn't disappoint. The service was great! We were seated next to the door and the manager walked by and asked if we would like something more private since it was a little noisy we declined but really appreciate the ask. One of the waiters took the time to tell us all about this history which was nice. The food was fine nothing spectacular. In short go for the house not the food.
Stopped in for late lunch on Saturday. It was a little noisy and crowded when we first arrived, but settled nicely as the main lunch crowd left. Waitstaff and hosts were entertaining and helpful. Food was appealing both visually and tastewise. Would definitely visit again!
The restaurant was located in a old mansion and the interior was historic . The food and service were terrific. My only complaint is that we felt rushed during the meal. We had just finished our appetizers and the food was at the table. We went on a Friday night at 830 and the restaurant was crowded. We were celebrating our 25 the Anniversary and were finished in 45 minutes. Our only complaint.
The Olde Pink house never disappoints. We often do lunch on our visits but chose dinner after river street stroll and the upper dining area was amazing. Our waiter fabulous and the food..as always....perfection...whether fried chicken or the diamond cut whole flounder....
