The Olde Pink House Restaurant
Bar Menu: Tuesday – Saturday 2:30-5:00
Dinner: Monday – Sunday 5:00-10:30
The restaurant is beautiful and the service is excellent. The food we tried wasn't as impressive...
Steak was cooked perfect, but the sauce was not great. Asparagus as a side was ok, but nothing special. I also ordered a mac and cheese which I thought will be amazing in a restaurant such high quality, but it was actually very plane.
Outstanding. Great meal and service. Wonderful vacation destination.
Very disappointing. The Pink House is supposed to be Savannah’s premier restaurant. The food was mediocre, the service was poor. There was s cluster of people greeting you at the door and as you left — 5 people. Why? We weren’t told of a grouper special. We were told there was only one salmon dish left and then another miraculously appeared. The blackened oysters were inedible. Very strange experience.
Very impressed. I want to go back asap. Great food and atmopshere
Had a lovely evening at the Olde Pink House - some things were expected, but others were surprises. One wonderful thing was that the staff - from the front-desk staff to the waitstaff - were very professional, but also warm, friendly and truly nice. I often expect some kind of strange snobbery in these places, and these folks were all delightful. Was fun to get a drink before dinner in the bar downstairs - the hostesses and servers there made it all very comfortable (I'm not sure how they kept track of us to come get us when our actual reservation time was ready, but they did!) Food was very good, and the check was surprisingly un-crazy, even with wine and cocktails included. Definitely a good choice for a special occasion or a last-night-in Savannah dinner. Wouldn't change a thing.
Had a great time, enjoyed grabbing a drink in the basement before our dinner. One of the highlights of Savannah.
Very impressed with the staff, the food and the surroundings. We arrived on-time on a busy Sunday night and were seated immediately. Server was very knowledgeable and steered us to a Pinot Noir that paired very well with our seafood. The wine was also in the bottom third of the price hierarchy. Portions were ample.
We celebrated a birthday. The server was great, the food was good. Nice atmosphere. It was expensive, but for a nice dinner on vacation- we couldn't complain much. Would absolutely recommend taking a look around. The place is beautiful.
An exceptional night out. We ate in the Great Hall - and it was quite loud, but if you request any of the other rooms, it will be much quieter. Do yourself a favor, eat down in the bank vault in the tavern or out on the balcony. Gorgeous, and phenomenal, accommodating service.
Greeted warmly and promptly seated. Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive and we had his recommended appetizer of grits and cheese and shrimp. My first grit experience - outstanding. For main I had the bourbon soaked pork tenderloin with collards and sweet potato, I loved this dish. The pork was melt in your mouth, greens were interesting (1st experience for me) and the sweet potatoes was heavenly. My husband had the fried chicken and collards and sweet potatoes. Unfortunately his chicken, although delicious was overshadowed by the sides. One tiny piece of chicken next to two mounds of veggies. We declined dessert as I was stuffed from all the rich enjoyable food. We thought it was very good value and a lovely evening.
Food was fantastic. Our waiter Josh was very knowledgeable about the menu helping us with our choices for dinner. And his narrative of the history of the building was wonderfully entertaining. We had a great time and can’t wait to go back
Excellent and unique dishes with something to appeal to a wide variety of palettes. Owners work at the restaurant and take great pride in what they serve and how they serve it. The best we have had of the 3 excellent restaurants we have eaten at in Savannah.
D I V I N E!! Best fried chicken second only to my Aunt Sis’s. And that is what I judge all fried chicken on! For a Southern girl this is VERY high praise!!!
Lovely atmosphere and wait staff. Unfortunately none of the food was good.
We are locals and love this place. We go there for dates and anniversaries, you want be disappointed.
Wish I had changed to another Savannah restaurant. Food was mediocre. Service was scattered and not professional. Very loud room upstairs was empty when we arrived save for two tables. We got seated in the middle of the room. Very loud and uncomfortable. Even with all of this, I would have given a better review if the waiter had been better and the food up to par. We had to ask for bread, specials, and my birthday desert was a bowl of ice cream that tasted old! Sad!
Anniversary dinner. We traveled from central Florida. Reservation at 8:30. Seated 30 mins later. No mention of our celebrating an occasion. Very poor service. Left sitting awhile before order taken. We had to ask for our bread basket which came to us along with the appetizer 30 mins after we ordered it. At 10:00 pm we still did not have our entrees but the table next to us which was seated after us did have their food. We began to get up from our table to leave as we had a reservation at a dessert bar at 10:30 pm when the waiter asked if everything was ok. We let her know we needed to leave although we hadn't gotten our food yet. She went to get manager, food then appeared. We asked for check immediately and ate very little before we had to leave. A man came to our table, maybe manager, but did not identify himself as manager or even introduce himself, gave us our bill. We paid and left. Nothing was comped for the poor service we received. We were treated like just a number. We will never return or recommend this place to anyone.
The customer service was 5 Star. We were seated at the exact time of our reservation. HOWEVER, it took 48 minutes to get our food from the time of order. When my food came, ( I ordered the Jumbo Scallops), it was room temperature. The scallops were nowhere near jumbo. I didn't send my food back, in fear that it would take another 45 minutes or more. My husband enjoyed his meal. The server was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I was told by my friend "you have to eat at the Pink House." Maybe her experience was better than mines, but I was a little disappointed. If the customer service were not so good, I would probably never go there again. I will give it one more try just to see if they can change my opinion.
We had a memorable dinner at a this landmark restaurant. The atmosphere is charming, the service impeccable, portions generous and prices fair. The large menu includes many delicious dishes that exemplify traditional Southern cooking. On this Saturday evening there were many bachelorette parties and other groups, all obviously enjoying themselves just as we were. We surely will return here the next time we visit Savannah!
Great meal in a unique environment.
The Olde Pink House was amazing. I've had fried green tomatoes many places in the south but theirs were by far the best. If you are in Savannah do be sure to make time for a wonderful meal.
We were at the olde Pink House for my husband’s birthday and brought friends for their first trip to Savannah. Always a wonderful meal with good wine. They went the extra mile for the birthday celebration.
The Olde Pink House has great food and service. It is a beautiful building with tons of historic charm and a colorful history to go along with it.
It was a fun experience. The service was just ok.
I hesitate to write this review as normally it would be outstanding. This time, we were very disappointed with our server as she practically ignored us and service was SLOW. My group and I felt it was an effort for her to serve us as she flopped items on our table, did not refill water glasses, was abrup when serving, and handed our bill to me without looking at me or without any comment. It seemed one shrimp and grits dish was the last of the pot as it was skimpy compared to the other one we ordered.
The birthday platters were great, and the lady who served them would have been a much better server for our group. We have made this a birthday celebration for 4 years, and this year we were disappointed it was not our expected delightful lunch date.
Delicious food. Great service. Very busy but that’s because it’s good.
Great atmosphere. .Very friendly staff.. .We had reservations and arrived early. .We sat down for a bit before our table was ready...Food was very good..definitely not the cheapest place..but so worth it. .Since this house turned into a restaurant has so much history and great ambiance. .Not too often do we get to dine like this...would recommend to anyone who wants a unique dining experience. .
This place never disappoints, this was our second time here with a gap of 5 years apart and it was even better this time around. We ate on the upper floor and it was decorated very elegant. The food was great, service was great, and everyone showed us that true southern hospitality. It was our anniversary and they had happy anniversary written in chocolate on our dessert plate.
The Olde Pink House was a great place to visit while in Savannah. It felt a bit touristy, but we were tourists! I was surprised the food was as good as it was. We enjoyed gazpacho to start, and I had one of the specials, a delicious "al caprese" salad with blackened shrimp, fresh tomatoes, and a mozzarella-like soft, runny cheese that I am still thinking about. Desserts were both good - especially my husbands pecan pie which was not too sweet. Our server, Rachel, was delightful and professional. We overheard and engaged in some conversation about ghost sightings and weird experiences, as the Olde Pink House is supposed to be one of Savannah's most haunted buildings. And yes, it was somewhat believable, although I am a skeptic!
I was very disappointed in the time it took to finally get our food and the food itself. I had high hopes of a great meal and for all the rave I read about this place it just was disappointing. The tables are too close together, the wait time for your food is ridiculous and the food taste ok at best. My waitress was exceptional and probably the brightest spot of the whole experience.
From the first greeting to the amazing server and exceptional food, this was fabulous and will definitely return and recommend! Thank you for a wonderful experience and best service in a very long time!!
We had a wonderful Lunch for our wedding anniversary. The food was plentiful and delicious. Our service was outstanding. We could not have been happier. We will be back.
Amazing food, it is pricey because it’s worth every penny! Highly recommend, I sat down at the bar area and the ambiance is so neat. They have a lady singing and playing various songs. Everytable is candlelit too.
My wife and I were traveling through Savannah and booked a reservation for dinner. It is a very large restaurant with many rooms on different floors. Each room we walked through had something differs to offer, the entire house was very impressive and beautiful. The night we went was very busy and service could not have been better. We went to sample “southern” food and were not disappointed. Everything was great! Not normally desert people but we did order the chocolate pecan pie with vanilla ice cream. Fabulous!!
Fun with all the “ghost stories”. Exceptional food!!!! Very comfortable and service was amazing. Beautiful place!!!!
Delicious food and amazing service. I highly recommend sitting downstairs in the tavern - very cool ambience. But make sure you have reservations!
Was there for my husbands birthday so I made reservations for The Old Pink House. We have celebrated other events such as our engagement and other birthdays. Our waiter Conner was not very personable or that helpful. Our friends and I told him it was my husbands birthday and he was lesss than interested. Never gave us bread until the end of meal cause he had to run downstairs cause they goes through a lot bread there. (What?) Drinks were also not refilled in a timely manner. The lovely lady came over to sing to my husband happy birthday which was awesome as always! Usually the waiter brings out a candle and plate with Happy Birthday on it which I might add Conner brought the young lady a candle and Happy Birthday plate to the table right next to us then looks over at us and said y’all want anything else? This is the first time we have ever had this kind of experience at The Old Pink House which I and I always eat here when I’m in Savannah.
The pink house is a historic restaurant with wonderful food and great service. Highly recommended.
Unique menu, outstanding friendly service, inviting ambiance, delicious gourmet food cooked to perfection. This was the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary and they even made something special for our three year old to eat that she absolutely loved. Our server offered great conversation with us throughout our dining experience and i especially loved the candlelit relaxing feel of the room I could almost feel the history being absorbed by just being there. If you love exceptionally delicious fresh food and a quiet dining setting this place is for you. I will be back the next time i am in Savannah.
We arrived early and went downstairs to the bar and ended up eating there as well. We had wonderful service and the food was excellent. At 8p, Diana plays piano and sings. She is a true treasure, and takes requests.
