   This was an outstanding dining experience!!! The service was great and the food was outstanding. Really...really a super experience. Can understand why it is so difficult to get a reservation. Definitely a "go to" restaurant for anyone visiting Savannah

   Very professional and respectful. Kitchen did mess up order. Dressing not on salad. Bacon on salad.

   From the moment you’re greeted on the front porch, it’s obvious why you need to book well ahead of your visit. Savannah has so many great restaurants, yet this has been on top for many years. Fried shrimp were the best I’ve had anywhere-perfectly cooked, lightly battered. Country fried chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy were incomparable. Not a Mac n cheese fan but loved this. Service was impeccable. Thank you Colleena. One of the best meals I’ve ever had!

   We had a wonderful girls night dinner. Kristen was a fabulous waitress and gave great tips on the menu and drinks. We had the fried green tomatoes which were lightly battered and so yummy. And the flounder was amazing with the apricot sauce. Houston was also so accommodating and efficient checking on everything. It was just a wonderful night in a beautiful setting.

   This is a must! I mean there's history, great staff, incredible food. From apps, to drinks, to mains and dessert. Lovely. Make reservations in advance. Don't miss out.

   This is a restaurant you must visit while in Savannah. Suggest getting a reservation ahead of time as without, they were turning people away. Restaurant is in an old home and has many different rooms, plus a tavern/speakeasy downstairs. We originally were sat upstairs in the large "ballroom". It is much louder than the eating areas on the first floor. One in our part is hard of hearing so we asked to be moved to a quieter part of the house - they were very nice about making this change for us. The food, drinks and service were all excellent. The manager came over frequently to check on us to make sure everything was good. We had the fried green tomatoes and artichoke appetizers. For our mains, we had a grouper/crab special, flounder and chicken and mac and cheese. While we know this restaurant is know to have spiritual activity, the staff didn't focus on that part. The house is a beautiful and a great place to have a real southern meal.

    Plan for a lot of time. A lot. Make reservations ahead. Beautiful setting, kind staff, history, food was good, service took a long time. Over 10 mins to get the check when we said we needed to continue our drive to FL that night and were ready for our check.
