My husband and I definitely did not have the best experience dining here. We made reservations in advance and when we got to the restaurant we were told they were overbooked for reservations and that we would have to leave and come back a half an hour later.
As far as the entries, they were very small in the crab cake had a lot of filling products.
Excellent excellent excellent. Definitely recommend. So darn good!
The restaurant was on my bucket list from years ago finally made it there. Everything was good like I thought.
Our waiter John went above and beyond
Food was great and loved atmosphere. Will definitely go back.
Really good food, drinks, and service. Wasn't cheap but didn't feel over priced either. Good place to go with a few friends or on a date night.
This was a pleasant surprise. I was expecting and ok with down and dirty crab house. Place was new, very open, and pleasant atmosphere. Food was delicious. Service was excellent. I am definitely returning. Oh, oyster were delicious.
Had an amazing time...the atmosphere, vibe, & culture was really wonderful to be around. I don’t remember my waiter name but he was laidback, easygoing and showed sensational customer service !
Fabulous as always! Love Garces, thank you for everything !
All that I expected, having eaten at The Olde Bar a couple of times recently. Was most disappointed that your famous deviled eggs were not available, although on the menu. Please fix this, as I am returning soon!
Great happy hour menu. We love to get almost everything from the app menu and a couple drinks as well when we go. Fish house punch is always excellent, the bartender's selection is usually a good choice as well, and it's hard to go without getting the buffalo cauliflower, the fries, and crab fingers.
Wonderful service from Olivia!
I've only ever been here for the happy hour, but it has to be one o the best in the city! Beautifully crafted cocktails for $5-6 along with the amazing crab fingers and other favorites all for huge discount. Service is always awesome and is a great atmosphere inside in the bar area and outside as well
This was my first time here and it was perfect. Will definitely be on my list to return.
Olde Bar was amazing! Seats a spaced out (for social distancing) which i loved. Food was soooo good! I will definitely be back
Overall enjoyed the food, service and ambiance but it was Very breezy in the bar area considering the weather was 43 degrees.
The bar area is extremely Covid friendly yet still warm & inviting. Cocktails perfect.
Snapper tatare & shrimp roll was delicious. Sunchoke toast was odd, wouldn’t order again but the goat cheese pour over sauce was good enough to drink. Hope this neighborhood spot continues to shine.
We love this restaurant. The food was delish and the drinks/cocktails were tasty. Our server was pleasant, thoughtful and observant. They also have created a comfortable environment for those concerned about eating inside.
Unfortunately this is the second time in the past couple months that we have been here and the service has been awful. It took 50 minutes to get our first round of drinks and over an hour to get a cold shellfish platter app for the table. We had to flag our waitress to ask for our items because she never came back. After only 45 minutes of our first round and appetizers having been delivered, she came over and pushed the check on us as she was trying to clear out her area. We had only just finished our last bites of dinner. It's so unfortunate as the food is amazing.
Interesting historic restaurant in old city--food and service were very good with a slight
distraction with noise but that was because wewere inside at the bar area. Will return for sure. Very different snapper soup which was certainly not Campbell's
We arrived at the restaurant on time and ready to celebrate. Our table was ready for us right away and the hostess took us to our table. It took a few minutes for our server to come and introduce himself. He asked us if we wanted water and then disappeared for a few minutes to gather glasses and the sparkling. When he returned, we ordered a drink each and he was off to order those. The drinks took more then ten minutes to arrive back at the table and one of incorrect. But, I waited so long that it wasn't a big deal that it was up and not on the rocks. Time passed and the server returned to take our order. The friend oysters came out very quickly. Delicious. Our entrees arrived a few minutes later. Tile fish with baby artichokes and a Pernod sauce: perfection. When I ordered my second drink, I requested that it be on the rocks. The server responded, "Oh yes, that it was what you ordered the first time, but you didn't correct them when they delivered it." I didn't realize that was my responsibility.
Looking forward to when Covid is behind us and we can again enjoy indoor dining.
The food was average. Ordered the seafood plater, horrible for $75. Asked for tarter sauce and mustard, they didn't have it. spent a lot of money, very disappointed.
Enjoyed our Friday evening at The Olde Bar. Had the buck-a-shuck oysters as usual then shared the Village Whiskey burger and the piri piri chicken sandwich.
Tried a new white wine Trebbiano D’Abbruzzo which was very good.
Our waitress Ally was great and let us take our time with the meal.
Overall another great experience here! Unfortunately I’m told they may not put out heat lamps as the weather gets colder, and will only do indoor dining. So, see you next year.
Great food and good service. Still just as good as the old bookbinding
Sat outside, loved the food. Wish there was a few more options on the menu. Amazing drinks.
Having eaten here before Covid, I was pleased to experience the same excellent service and food as I had in earlier visits. Thanks for keeping your standards high.
Sat outside because of Covid. Nothing special about the seating area - table placed on a sidewalk with no ambiance. Party of 5 adults. Ordered an overpriced Manhattan - which came as straight liquor with an orange peel, no cherries or other garnish. Menu options were very limited. Chose fried oysters with fries and a side salad for dinner. Was served a few white flour coated small fried oysters that were undercooked and had no taste. My husband had a burger which he said was underwhelming at best. No one at the table complemented their meal. Will not repeat.
My husband and I absolutely loved this restaurant. The newly renovated dining room is very classy and quite. The space is very clean and the staff took every preventative measures to ensure the safety of patrons considering we’re still in the middle of a pandemic. The food and drinks were amazing. While I’m a wine lover, my husband loves cocktails and he loved both the drinks he ordered. Our waitress was very attentive and ensure we were comfortable. This spot will for sure be frequented by us.
Food was excellent and it was very socially distant
Great oysters, lobster roll, and very good hamburger. Felt very safe eating outside.
This is the best happy hour in town, delicious seafood with amazing drinks... miss the old days at the bar but hopefully we'll be able to repeat those moments soon
This is not the fault of the restaurant. My dining partner had his credit card scammed
Hi, my girlfriend and I came here on a Monday for happy hour. It was a beautiful day as we were seAted outside.
The wAitress was super sweet! We ordered a cocktail and a glass if wine.
We started off with the buck-a-shuck oysters which were beyond delicious. We also had the deviled eggs and the buffalo cauliflower which were also delicious.
We also ordered the wedge which reAlly wasnt anything special. Sorry.
Staff seemed very confused. From serving drinks to wrong tables, to bringing starters after the main dishes had come out. Not any major issue or inconvenience for us but we started feeling bad for the servers because it seemed to be an issue with multiple tables...
As usual, the food was wonderful. We appreciated the care given to protect diners by appropriate distancing.
Went for restaurant week. After being there for almost and hour and a half and only received our apps, we cancelled the rest of our food and left. Server was friendly but forgot our first drink order, had to come back a second time for it, and we canceled round 2 after it hadn’t arrived within 20 minutes. Had crab fries which were tasty. Disappointed we didn’t get to try the rest of our food but we will never go back. Worst part- management never even came by to address us after comping our meal. Poor.
To begin, I love the Olde Bar. We frequent it all the time...I even had my engagement party here. They really have let themselves go. I hadn't been since COVID and last night was the first time and, it happened to be my fiance's 30th birthday. We CHOSE to spend his birthday here. We walk in, and the hostess immediately blurts out, "ooohhh the notes say it's your 30th, wow!" First, every person knows you don't actually say that out loud..they are for purposes of dining instructions. The night continued, food was meh and then, the kicker? Absolutely no MENTION of his birthday. Nothing from the waitress, nothing by way of even a stupid candle on his dessert we ordered. Absolutely classless and tasteless. Horrified we spent his birthday here. Will not be coming back which is unfortunate given the meaning this place has to us.
Very good food and the service was great. Drinks were awesome
Seem understaffed, waitresses seemed stressed. Food is incredible though!
It was great
