I’ve always wanted to eat at Old Warsaw. The food was amazing! I will definitely be going there again really soon and bringing my friends!
Service was excellent and attentive. Bar service was also good. They were out of several wines, but gave us a deep discount on a more expensive bottle as a substitute. Cannot say anything good about the food
Our dinner, sea bass and steak was excellent. We also ordered dessert, crème brûlée and blue berry cobbler and it was runny! The staff seamed
There were 6 of us at a lovely round table. We were looking for to a quiet evening for easy conversation. The piano (excellent musician by the way) was so loud and in a small room, we could not hear each other easily. Moving tables would have made no difference.
This is not the Old Warsaw we remember. It is now more casual. The food is good, though not great. And the noise level was annoying. We will not be returning.
The manager was rude and it took a while to receive our food and drinks and a couple orders were wrong!
We had reservations for 9 at 7:45 for my husband’s birthday last night. No one came to our table even after sitting at our table for an hour and a half. We were discriminated on based on the color of our skin. We were the only black family there. I’ve never been treated so poorly. When I was trying to see where the server was, or to get a manager, the bartender kept telling me to sit down and waved his hands like I was trash or something. We eventually got up and left because we will never spend our money where we’re not wanted. Shout out to the party of 15 full of white men who walked out with us. They said it was not fair and they won’t return either. They asked us to join them for dinner. We all went to Moxies across the street and had a wonderful time. The staff at moxies said this happens a lot. I’m going to post on all social media platforms not to come. It was not fair to us.
What an enjoyable event. The steak tartar was phenomenal as was the seabass. The ambiance alone is enough reason to visit this place, but add in a terrific wine list and service along with the menu; and it's a must visit for me every time I travel to Dallas.
Well let’s be honest about something first; since the pandemic there has been a shortage of worker which is the cause of a lot of issues but not with so called “ high end” restaurants. The menu is somewhat limited because you can only pick option A or option B. The bar tender is also apart of the wait staff so the drink option are limited. The server never came to check on us. When we did order drinks they were wrong might have came out of a pre-made bottle with alcohol added so those got sent back. They are only interested in selling you bottles of wine nothing less. The food was below average from the start because they only have two menu option but they missing a lot of those option when you order. I had the lobster bisque but there was no lobster bites and it came from a can. When I said that they guy looked upset and never saw him again until the main course. The steak just had a bunch of butter and oil poured on top of it so not worth it. So my wife and I was highly disappointed in the food and service. Don’t waste your time with this place go to Trulucks or somewhere else.
Bland food. The bartender was also our waiter. Very slow service and we will never be back.
Wonderful food service and atmosphere
The soufflé is magnificent! Love this special place!
Complete mismatch in expectations
They did not have our reservations. Many of the staff didn’t understand English. They jammed us in a booth
Not the Old Warsaw from prior years.
I loved Old Warsaw, but not the same. They have moved down the street a bit to make room for a new building being built. The new space is much smaller, connects to a bar, and to be fair they have not probably figured out what they will be. Piano music is nice, but we missed the violinist who used to be there on the weekends in the old days. The new space is very close with the piano restaurant bar, and tables all in the same space; which makes the noise level very loud; especially with combining the piano and large groups, as we experienced. There is a smaller additional dining room which holds a few tables and my be quieter. Service was fair, but that is likely due to COVID issues paying people not to work as so many small businesses experience. On to the food. The goose liver pate was exceptional, albeit a pretty small portion. The Old Warsaw salad, Lobster Thermador, and Lamb Chops were both very good. The steak was cooked perfectly, but very tough and not real flavorful. Cherries Jubilee done tableside was excellent. The owner or maître d' (wish he had dressed for a fine restaurant on a Friday) offered us a great wine at a discount. The wine was excellent. This wasn't the experience we wanted, but we will wait and give them another try after they are more settled. Hoping they work it out.
We went for our 20th wedding anniversary. The service was outstanding and the food was simply amazing. I strongly recommend them to anyone who was not visited there yet.
Not too busy. Great for special occasions and business dinners!
Haven’t been here in years and this time I was underwhelmed. I ordered a ribeye steak medium and received a steak about 3 seconds from being well-done. Mostly, not big deal sometimes restaurants get it wrong. The waiter took the steak and then asked if it was cooked too much to which I replied yes. He went to replace it leaving the baked potato and Brussel sprouts with no utensils. After, about 20 minutes and perfect steak arrived to accompany the now cold sides.
To add to this, no manager or anyone offered an apology and no one checked to see how the rest of the meal was going. I passed on dessert, but my wife and daughter said their cake wasn’t very good and we opted to find dessert elsewhere.
The food was amazing, perfectly prepared and delicious. The staff was wonderfully friendly and attentive.
Perfect romantic dinner. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing.
The pianist played beautifully and everything together made for a memorable anniversary for me and my wife.
There were only 2 tables seated -us and another. I guess it's a weird time to go to a restaurant - people aren't eating out and everyone is short handed. I think there were 2 people working, so I'm pretty sure the people serving were also cooking in the back. Had the beef wellington - ordered med rare and got med well. Asparagus was dry. Mushrooms on side were very salty and gummy. The room was very warm - I don't think they turned down the air for such a small service. Took forever to get the wine list but they did offer a Stag's Leap Cab. Good wine but served at room temperature which was about 80 degrees. We liked the ambiance and may try again when they have staff. We went on Tuesday so I guess we got the B team, though everyone was very nice.
Worst meal I've ever had
The tables are so close it felt like family style dining. And that was not the goal for the evening.
The mashed potatoes were cold and the lobster Mac&Cheese well it reminded me a the results from a blue box with a piece of lobster thrown on top.
I was giving old Warsaw a second chance but I see it hasn’t changed. Too bad it once was a great restaurant.
Beautiful environment. Staff were all friendly and accommodating. The menu was reasonably priced for an upscale establishment.
Old Warsaw is always our go-to restaurant for a fine dining experience. We love the ambience Old Warsaw provides as well as the delicious food.
I had a lovely birthday dinner last evening!!!
The Old Warsaw is an excellent location for an elegant dinner.
They went out of their way to make sure my husband’s 60th birthday was perfect. It is such a great restaurant and has been around for so many years. Our guests had never been, and they all loved the food and service. Great piano player too!
Just not what I thought it would be!!! Let me down!!!
Excellent food and service. Al is the best!
I had a reservation at 7:45pm for a party of 11. We didn’t get the table until 8:10pm aprox.
One of us order a drink at the bar and he sent it back, glasses were not clean you could see prints on some of them.
Food was great, however they don’t disclose the items on the tab so it’s messy to figure out what was ordered and what was charged.
There is a restaurant bar by the entrance playing great music ruining the vibe of the restaurant itself.
We loved this place. Very clubby and old school. Bummer though that it's a new location which, in itself, is reminiscent of the original spot, but it's wedged between two loud bar/restaurants with thumping "club" music. Totally competed with the piano player trying to drown out the club music. The food and service is the star so you have to overlook the odd mix outside this restaurant. We all opted for the Prix Fixe menu. At $50 you get soooo much. The prime filet alone would cost $50 at a high end steak house. The cut was thick and perfectly cooked. Loaded baked potato was huge, although could have spent 10 minutes or so longer in the over. Salad, escargot and crab cake starters were tasty as well. The rolls were hot and fresh. The wine we wanted was out of stock so they substituted a much pricier bottle for the same price. Great service, not intrusive, very aware and classy. We will return.
We went here for our Anniversary were very happy with our experience! Al was great at giving suggestions and helping us celebrate our day with rose petals on the table, a delicious dessert and a bottle of champagne! The pianist set the mood and was very personable and took requests. The food was amazing of course and we definitely recommend this place for any occasion!
As a long time patron of the Old Warsaw, it has no qualities resembling its former self. This is the second time we have dinned at the new location and each was horrible. The French onion soup had clear broth and white onions... the lobster bisque was full of old bay seasoning. The pâté tasted like it was out of a package from Trader Joe's. For a dinner nearly $300 I feel robbed. If you are looking for a restaurant with fine European cuisine, PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE!! St. Martin's is exceptional every time. I will NEVER go back to the Old Warsaw.
Food was great, service was a little slow, looked like they were shorthanded. Our waiter was really nice.
Absolutely the worst experience ever! How do they stay in business?! Food was horrible, service was non-existent, they did NOT care that we were not happy. SHAME on you!! Shut them down!!!
Awful. Don’t go here. We went for the reputation, looking to dine at one of Dallas’s “finest” restaurants - can’t express our disappointment. The room looked great, nice piano player. That’s all of the good.
Menu, prix fixe menu, not advertised in advance, either $50 or $70, depending on what you picked. 20% of menu options were not available. Service - server didn’t talk to us, at all! Walked to the table with pen and pad in hand and waited for us to speak. No dialogue. No smiles. Bothered that we were there. Food - average at best. No flair, nothing special, surely far below our expectations. Nothing against Chili’s, but I’d compare it to an average Chili’s meal - nothing wrong, but certainly nothing special and not what we were looking for.
Ambiance - they’ve turned the front of the Old Warsaw into a hooka lounge. Not kidding. Loud, blaring club music that permeates the entire restaurant.
The cake was the Maitre’ D, wearing a black t-shirt. Really?! 80% of the men in the room had on sport coats, most women had on dresses, and he wears a t-shirt!?
I can only surmise that this once great restaurant was sold to a group that is trying to make money on a legacy name, they have no sense of quality or proper decorum when it comes to running a fine dining establishment.
AVOID THIS PLACE
We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was excellent. The servers were professional but not friendly. We will go back but the servers need to put on that Texas charm
Food and service was great. Great overall experience.
Great meal, great service and I will definitely be back when I visit Dallas again!
As always we had an incredible time.
Great place to celebrate an anniversary. Drinks, food and service was impeccable. The environment was old world and classy. They had a musician at the piano taking requests.
Hope to return soon for another fine dining experience.
Very disappointed in the whole experience. First of all the service was slow and indifferent. The piano player was much too loud and the party on the front patio was not the type of atmosphere or ambiance one expects from a classic fine dining establishment. The food was mediocre, they screwed up my wife's order and offered no apologies and acted like they were being put out by their mistake. Finally, the chocolate soufflé arrived and it was at best mediocre. Certainly not what I would expect from a Dallas institution. The old lady is showing her age and is well past her prime. Better places to go in Dallas for food and atmosphere.
