I had a reservation at 7:45pm for a party of 11. We didn’t get the table until 8:10pm aprox.
One of us order a drink at the bar and he sent it back, glasses were not clean you could see prints on some of them.
Food was great, however they don’t disclose the items on the tab so it’s messy to figure out what was ordered and what was charged.
There is a restaurant bar by the entrance playing great music ruining the vibe of the restaurant itself.
We loved this place. Very clubby and old school. Bummer though that it's a new location which, in itself, is reminiscent of the original spot, but it's wedged between two loud bar/restaurants with thumping "club" music. Totally competed with the piano player trying to drown out the club music. The food and service is the star so you have to overlook the odd mix outside this restaurant. We all opted for the Prix Fixe menu. At $50 you get soooo much. The prime filet alone would cost $50 at a high end steak house. The cut was thick and perfectly cooked. Loaded baked potato was huge, although could have spent 10 minutes or so longer in the over. Salad, escargot and crab cake starters were tasty as well. The rolls were hot and fresh. The wine we wanted was out of stock so they substituted a much pricier bottle for the same price. Great service, not intrusive, very aware and classy. We will return.
We went here for our Anniversary were very happy with our experience! Al was great at giving suggestions and helping us celebrate our day with rose petals on the table, a delicious dessert and a bottle of champagne! The pianist set the mood and was very personable and took requests. The food was amazing of course and we definitely recommend this place for any occasion!
As a long time patron of the Old Warsaw, it has no qualities resembling its former self. This is the second time we have dinned at the new location and each was horrible. The French onion soup had clear broth and white onions... the lobster bisque was full of old bay seasoning. The pâté tasted like it was out of a package from Trader Joe's. For a dinner nearly $300 I feel robbed. If you are looking for a restaurant with fine European cuisine, PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE!! St. Martin's is exceptional every time. I will NEVER go back to the Old Warsaw.
Food was great, service was a little slow, looked like they were shorthanded. Our waiter was really nice.
Absolutely the worst experience ever! How do they stay in business?! Food was horrible, service was non-existent, they did NOT care that we were not happy. SHAME on you!! Shut them down!!!
Awful. Don’t go here. We went for the reputation, looking to dine at one of Dallas’s “finest” restaurants - can’t express our disappointment. The room looked great, nice piano player. That’s all of the good.
Menu, prix fixe menu, not advertised in advance, either $50 or $70, depending on what you picked. 20% of menu options were not available. Service - server didn’t talk to us, at all! Walked to the table with pen and pad in hand and waited for us to speak. No dialogue. No smiles. Bothered that we were there. Food - average at best. No flair, nothing special, surely far below our expectations. Nothing against Chili’s, but I’d compare it to an average Chili’s meal - nothing wrong, but certainly nothing special and not what we were looking for.
Ambiance - they’ve turned the front of the Old Warsaw into a hooka lounge. Not kidding. Loud, blaring club music that permeates the entire restaurant.
The cake was the Maitre’ D, wearing a black t-shirt. Really?! 80% of the men in the room had on sport coats, most women had on dresses, and he wears a t-shirt!?
I can only surmise that this once great restaurant was sold to a group that is trying to make money on a legacy name, they have no sense of quality or proper decorum when it comes to running a fine dining establishment.
AVOID THIS PLACE
We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was excellent. The servers were professional but not friendly. We will go back but the servers need to put on that Texas charm
Food and service was great. Great overall experience.
Great meal, great service and I will definitely be back when I visit Dallas again!
As always we had an incredible time.
Great place to celebrate an anniversary. Drinks, food and service was impeccable. The environment was old world and classy. They had a musician at the piano taking requests.
Hope to return soon for another fine dining experience.
Very disappointed in the whole experience. First of all the service was slow and indifferent. The piano player was much too loud and the party on the front patio was not the type of atmosphere or ambiance one expects from a classic fine dining establishment. The food was mediocre, they screwed up my wife's order and offered no apologies and acted like they were being put out by their mistake. Finally, the chocolate soufflé arrived and it was at best mediocre. Certainly not what I would expect from a Dallas institution. The old lady is showing her age and is well past her prime. Better places to go in Dallas for food and atmosphere.
We tried the 3 course menu and had a great time and enjoyed all dishes. I really liked the classy ambience, live piano and our servers were very kind. They have been in Dallas for decades and now we know why
I had a phenomenal time, the waiting staff and ambiance of of the restaurant made the night one we won’t be forgetting anytime soon
The food and service was outstanding. The decor was different than we remembered.
My impression was you are trying too hard to please everyone.
2 bars, pool table and gourmet food.
The food was mediocre this visit. I've enjoyed it in previous visits.
Loved the setting and the piano player. Hostess & bartendress were great. Servers OK.
They called us to move our reservation time earlier, then were not ready for us when we got there. For 3 people, only had 2 settings at table- they did bring silverware, but had to ask for a napkin and never did get a bread plate. With desert, forgot one person's coffee. Seemed disjointed- understaffed? new hires?
Food was excellent. Noise from sushi restaurant just outside Old Warsaw
Had a fantastic evening. Very relaxed dining experience. Service was attentive but not pushy or speeding along my evening. Went at my pace and I could enjoy the evening while being able to friendly ask for something if I needed it. Will be back.
Got seated after 9pm for 8:15 reservation--clearly short staffed.
What a strange place. I know this place has moved locations in the past few years and it seems to cater to a younger less polished clientele. They have a club outside with people smoking hookahs, drinking and, partying, with a pretend fine dining restaurant inside. Besides the inattentive service, this place chargers prices similar to classier steak restaurants in town. The majority of our steaks were cooked to order and tasted alright, but that couldn't help everything else going bad for this place.
Manager did not help servers.
Bad service. Had a reservation and waited 45 minutes to be seated. Worst hostess who was also serving as bartender. This place is located with a building that also houses a Spanish nightclub, imagine the noise over the piano. A list of other bad experiences not worth listing. I do not recommend it.
Hands down the best service I have ever had in DFW. Open weekdays 5pm to 10pm for people who want a less busy night to have a succulent dinner. Reservations are recommended on weekends. Try the baked goat cheese, out of this world.
Wonderful experience. Have a service animal and they were very accommodating and gave us a table that was out of the way. Food is spectacular.
I had been wanting to visit this place for a while. I/we finally made it, and it was everything I expected it to be. Pure excellence, overall. On every level. I will bring going again... and again... and again.
I really enjoyed the restaurant. It was beautiful and very upscale. I will return.
food and service was absolutely horrible.
Great ambiance and delicious food
When we pulled up, we were met with a full on rave party in full swing at the bar adjacent to the restaurant. We had to walk through the maskless crowd to get to the dining room. The noise continued through our dinner.
Service was inattentive, it took 40 minutes to get our wine. The food was subpar, and they forgot some of our party’s order leaving them to watch as the rest started their meal. They ignored our request to accommodate a food allergy. At the end, we thought they forgot the dessert order and as we signed the check a server walked around each table with dessert in hand asking if they had ordered it. Worse yet, they did not follow basic COVID protocols. This place was on our list of Dallas icons to try and to say we were disappointed is an understatement. It was an embarrassment to have hosted our special celebration there.
Do yourself a favor and head to the Capital Grille across the street.
Service is Excellent food is good the ambiance is elegant the only down point is that they don’t have a hostess so if it’s your first time there you’ll feel lost since there’s no one to welcome you or sho you to your table but other than that is a good experience
Food was better last time I was there
The service was ok ...they need to step it up
Very cozy and friendly atmosphere with excellent food and service.
The food was delicious. The atmosphere was charming old school but servers were a little under-trained.
Very romantic place. Wood paneling everywhere. There was live music on Friday, the night we went. Try the lobster thermidor. I also had the avacado crab salad, also very fresh. Good negronis and old fashioned cocktails too.
Amazing food, great owner, great atmosphere
The live piano player was amazing the food was delightful .Nice quite spot for a romantic date 💋💋💋😍!
This place is fantastic! I can't believe I have lived in Dallas for over 25 years and have never been to this iconic restaurant. It is my new favorite, especially for special occasions. I recently went for my 25th anniversary, after several friends recommended it as a place that would make us feel special. They did just that! It was a week night, so I was skeptical that the acclaimed piano player would be there. When we arrived and there was only one other seated table, I thought "no live music for sure...bummer." Then, a charismatic, VIRTUOSIC pianist comes in, plays through dinner, taking requests and telling jokes. The food was top notch and the fixed price, 3 course menu is awesome! Top it off with custom, top-shelf martinis for only $10 and a personalized dessert. I'll be back soon with a big group of friends.
My wife and I go to the Old Warsaw all the time. Usually early in the week and midweek. We have also been there on weekends and the experience is equally as good. The restaurant, the food, the management and the wait staff are all A++++. There is not a better experience in the entire city of Dallas. We love the food. The piano player engages the guests with conversation and asks for requests... He plays all of our favorites. He is MAGNIFICENT. Visiting the Old Warsaw is our favorite. We particularly like it during the week. A must visit in Dallas.
