Chicken Marsala very bland. Perhaps no Marsala wine? No prime rib or popovers😕
Always good food at a great price. Who else has caymus us on the wine list?
Jim the waiter is friendly and remembers his customers year after year.
One word --> EXCELLENT! ... the best restaurant in Ogunquit! ... great food selection, good food & appetizers, and service! ... our go-to restaurant ... one of the best servers is Walker! ... but all are good! ... make your reservations weeks out, they go fast!
the lovely lady answered the phone and commented on my birthday celebration.. Walker our waiter was cute and attentive.. My lobster bisque was awesome and the Pork Shnitzel was delicious... love coming here.. especially when I want to pamper myself.. so happy I can always get a reservation... thank you all ... it was awesome..
We've been coming here for years. Love having great conversations with locals and enjoy the food very much.
... after 3+ years of vacationing in Ogunquit with my mother, The Old Village Inn is my go-to restaurant! ... caring friendly staff, great service, and delicious food and desserts! ... and if you're lucky enough, Walker will be your server ... but others are good too.
Tables nicely distanced, very low noise level, food excellent, as always! We enjoyed our dinner there!
Food was good. We got the summer salad with fresh lobster and the lamb dish. Romantic setting. Would go back in the future
Thank you for accommodating my gluten intolerance with the rack of lamb, it was scrumptious. My husband had the duck which he raved about. The highlight was listening to Curt Bessette and Jenn Kurtz sing some great tunes. What a treat!
We had a reservation for 715 but did not sit down at our table until after 8 o’clock and did not receive any food at all until 8:45. Our food arrived and looked like it had been reheated or sitting in pots all day
Excellent choice of entrees, great service, reasonable prices. Highly recommend!
Food was excellent. Very relaxing atmosphere. Bit pricey but that’s Ogunquit!
Chowder was exceptional. Our entrees were good. I enjoyed the atmosphere. Worth a visit.
I would have rated it 5* except the ambiance was ruined by the couple that was seated across the aisle from my wife and me. From the moment they were shown to their table, the woman never stopped complaining. First the table; then her date for not providing the evening she deserved; and finally her meal.
She was immature, self centered, self absorbed and ruined the evening for her date, made things difficult for their server and ours, Walker, and sucked the life and ambiance right out of the evening for my wife and me.
We will return there to dine again and just hope she is not in the restaurant.
Atmosphere was very nice. Themed for the coastal location. Quieter so you could carry on conversations. Service was great and the food even better!
Fantastic old world ambiance here. Food was very good and service was fantastic. Prices are actually on the lower side considering foos quality and service. Very pleased!
It’s a charming quiet restaurant with excellent service. It’s old school charm and they have a great selection of food at reasonable prices. We go every year for our anniversary.
i ordered a lobster and pasta special. it was supposed to be 1 1/2 lbs of lobster[not even close] and pasta in a cream sauce[i could count the number of pasta on 1 hand. the dish had no taste at all. there were 3 other orders just as bad. Pork snitzell uneatable and 2 other plates that looked like it had more food on the plate after being served because almost no food was eaten. overall i"d say the food was prepared properly but portions were small and the food was not seasoned at all making for a terrible experience. I would never go back to this place again1
This was our second time dining here and will dine here every visit I make to Ogunquit. Service is top notch and the food is fantastic. I hope this place never changes! This is what dining is meant to be.
This is a nice quiet place. The food is good and the seafood is especially tasty. They have a good selection of drinks. Perpetually out of prime rib.
Always punctual on reservations.
The lobster bisque was excellent, but the entrees were just okay. The scallops were too salty and vegies lacked flavor
Fantastic meal (pan-seared scallops) and wonderful service! We wlll be back!
The food was great. The prices were very reasonable. You can get anything from a light meal to a lavish feast. I had pork schnitzel topped in a lemon sauce with mushroom and spinach fir $20!!! At the other restaurants nearby that what you pay for a burger and fries. The lobster bisque was sensational and my wife had a salad with lobster.
Excellent food and service in a lovely atmosphere
Excellent service and pan seared sea scallops over angel hair pasta
My wife and I very much enjoyed our meal experience at The Old Village Inn from the moment we entered the building to the moment we left. The hostess at the front was very pleasant and surprised us when she told us our table was ready even though we were 15 minutes early. Our waiter, Jim, was very mellow and we felt like we were his only customers (we weren't). Service was prompt, but not rushed. Food was delicious (my wife felt it was the best restaurant meal she had ever had - she had the Filet Mignon). And the surprise at the end was the check. it was probably about 75% of what I was expecting. When in the area again, will definitely try to get back.
Original old warm atmosphere.
We enjoyed an absolutely wonderful and relaxing meal at The Old Village Inn. Hats off to Jim who treated us with a welcome smile and exceptional attentiveness. We will look forward to dining there again very soon! Highly recommend the daily specials and the escargot!
OVI is consistently great. We love Jim as our server. I wish they would add different specials.
This place has so much character! It was been there almost 200 years! The chef is amazing. We had grilled scallops and the clam chowder. Sat at the bar and chatted with the bartender who has been there 26 years and some friendly patrons from Rhode Island. Absolutely recommend- we will be back!
Love the food and quiet atmosphere. Great margaritas and lobster
We were so glad we chose The old Village Inn for our first dinner out on our honeymoon. The wine list is impressive and reasonably priced. We were able to splurge with a bottle of Dom! Appetizers -escargot- were tasty as was soup and salads, which come before the appetizer. Be sure to try the house-made blue cheese dressing; we wanted to lick the plate. Steak with béarnaise sauce was cooked perfectly and the lobster was too. Blueberry pie with flaky butter crust was to die for. The kind server we had worked there for 30 years! She was so attentive and sweet. When you have that kind of long term staff, you know the service is going to be awesome. Be sure to check it out!
Excellent dinner and service, would highly recommend!
The food was excellent. I will definitely dine here again.
The Old Village Inn was the best dining experinece of my stay in Ogonquit. The dining room is a tradional setting with plenty of comfortable seating. There was a duo playing Simon and Garefunkle tunes which was very nice.
I ordered the Lobster Special with was a beautiful fresh lobster stuffed with shrimp and crabmeat. It came with corn, baked potato and string beans. Excellent. $37.00
My wife had a beautiful chicken dish with pasta.
Great atmosphere, Good service. Great dining experience
Great wine list and bottles were reasonably priced. Food quality was great, however missed the mark on seasoning. Flavors in the the dishes didn't pull together.
The food was amazing and our server, “Parker” was great!
Live music was very enjoyable
