WONDERFUL! This restaurant has a great menu of many classic items-lobster bisque, shrimp cocktail, caesar salad, rack of lamb, etc. Prices are moderate and the food was delicious! The service was wonderful (Walker) and there was no rush-just a nice relaxing meal. We had the rack of lamb (GREAT) and beef tenderloin- creme brulee was great- I would definitely recommend this place!

We drive up once a year from Boston and this place never disappoints! I had a seafood scampi dish with shrimp and scallops that was tasty and filling! Mama had the mushroom ravioli that she is still talking about today! We simply live the Old Village Inn And can’t wait until our next trip to Ogunquit!

My wife immediately loved the building. It certainly has character being built in 1833. Menu was wide-ranched and interesting. The pear salad, baked haddock and chicken picatta was good.

Olde Village Inn exceeded my expectations. Food was great. Decent prices and service was good. Will definitely eat there again when I come back to visit Maine.

Although the filet was cooked well and was tasty, the crab cakes were old, smelled and tasted of old fish. I sent my salad back as it was a small mess on a plate, not worthy of being served and certainly not worth the price. My husbands escargot was not tasty, very small and had WAY too much butter in it.

Amazing food, we had the bacon scallops, fondue, pistachio crusted lamb rack, and the veal special. So tender and flavorful.

We had an excellent dining experience here. Felt warmly welcomed upon arrival. The table was perfect. I requested a window table and I was not disappointed. It was a perfect spot.
Good wine choices. App for me was shrimp cocktail, was okay. The cocktail sauce was good. For him a Caesar salad with salmon. It was really good; nice grill marks on the delicious salmon, croutons and dressing were yum.
He got filet mignon. It was very good. Sides were cooked just right. Request for a side substitution was received well.
I got their twist on Chicken Marsala. I wasn't sure if I'd like it but it sounded interesting. Loved it! The quinoa and the green beans were deelish!
A nice ambiance as well, festive and warm. A happy New Year's Eve was had by us!

Always a great dining experience. Cozy to sit near the fireplace on a cold winter night. Food was creative and tasty. Desserts were yummy too. Jim, the waiter, was pleasant, attentive and efficient, as usual. A great restaurant choice in Ogunquit in any season.

This is an old time southern Maine restaurant with good food and good wine list at a reasonable price. It is relatively small and would be considered cute. It is an adult restaurant and bar; leave the kids at home.

Went as a special night out as a couple. Food was very good, excellent service even though it appeared they were managing a large group. We were seated by a secondary door that unfortunately was used a few times causing a cold draft during our meal. There was also a couple seated nearby during the course of our meal that were somewhat disruptive, engaging other tables in conversation, loud conversation, etc.
Not really something that could have been expected but still diminished our overall experience.
The setting was lovely by the windows in the evening looking down a decorated main street. It will be worth another visit...

The service was good and it’s a cute little place but the food was a big disappointment. The fondu was great but that was the only thing - both of our mains were terrible - we barely touched them. Huge waste of money!

We have eaten at the OVI many times. The food is always great, the service prompt and professional and the atmosphere is comfortable.
During a recent visit, our group started with pot stickers and a salad. We then ordered the prime rib, veggie pasta, mushroom ravioli with chicken and the lobster special. Our food was delicious, well prepared and reasonably priced.
We have eaten in the OVI bar also-- different menu and environment---louder and more active-- but a great place for a simple meal.

Good food, especially the seafood soups. The poach pear salad serving size was generous and was delicious, but the dinning experience is marred by the the ambiance. Seating is spread over a few rooms, some more desirable than others. All rooms need new rugs, painting, and redecorated.

We eat here every year when we visit Ogunquit. This is my most favorite restaurant and not just in Ogunquit, but everywhere. Their menu is super, the food is always well prepared and I've never had a bad meal there, ever. I've made some bad choices but the food is always excellent. That being said, my husband ordered a dish made up of grilled romaine lettuce with sliced flat iron steak which he didn't care for, just ok. Steak was medium rather than medium rare but he didn't think it warranted returning. He could have and I know they would have made another one easily enough but he didn't want to wait to eat. Bad choice on his part but this is the most consistent restaurant to put out great food and I've eaten here every year for the last 40 yrs. Be sure to make a reservation during busy times. Great, great, great place!

This is a great place to have diner. The food is used in a pure way. I mean not spoiled with lots of cheese or presented as a car accident.
We had the boneless ribs, the salmon out of the oven and all was very tastefull. Portions are more then enough. Not to big like at other places we have been.
The waitress served us well and friendly.

Dining at The Old Village Inn is like going back in time in the best possible way. Very traditional/classic menu (e.g., prime rib - you won't find any fusion on the menu here!) and great service.
