Fish seems to be their thing. Since it is hard to do Calamari steak right I enjoyed this dish which is hard to get at other restaurants.

It had been over 15 years since we last visited the Old Claim House. It remains charming however the prices are quite high. The area where it is located remains sketchy at best.

Old style seafood restaurant serving lots of greasy fried foods and overpriced seafood dishes. The calamari plate was covered in grease when it arrived. The taste was good. The best thing we ate was the garlic bread and we paid for that. No free bread here. Drinks were well made.

Excellent, extremely fresh seafood. Crab cakes with a melted butter sauce were outstanding. The sea bass with cioppino sauce was perfect. The sauce was described as having olives in it, which it didn’t, but I won’t quibble, because it was delicious. Nice big loaves of sourdough delivered to the table, along with glasses of hot clam broth. Wine list very limited, but the Hess cabernet sauvignon was tasty. The only thing I would definitely not recommend is the salted caramel cheese cake, which was WAY too sweet. The place was packed on Christmas, but service was fine. I’m very eager to eat there again. Love the funky historic atmosphere, the families with kids, the loud folks at the bar yelling at the Warriors game on TV. My kind of place.

The last time I ate in the restaurant, my daughter was 7 years old ( she’s 32 now) . I loved the food then but never got the chance to go back. I was amazed that the restaurant, the food , and the ambience hasn’t changed. There were changes in the interior, the license plates that I used to stare at in awe were not there anymore. But otherwise the food and the service are the same if not improved ! Love this restaurant!

We were in town for a Football game, it was a table of 5. We were seated quickly, orders were right. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Food was very good. No one left hungry and three of us took leftover home. Definitely would recommend. Lack of parking is the only complaint.

Oldie but goodie! Garlic bread to die for!!!! Cioppino is fantastic to go with the Garlic bread. Even the chorizo garlic bread was good. I ordered the crab enchilada and found that the peppers (Pickled)? overwhelmed the dish. They could stand to put more cheese or a creamy seafood sauce in it and chop the green onions instead of the large chards of them...Crab alfredo was somewhat bland...needed more parmesan or garlic. The Bayshore looks different but love that this restaurant is still there since I've been going since the 70's.

Great cocktails, speedy and friendly service. Delicious chorizo cheese bread, clam chowder, and party in my mouth crab enchiladas, with just enough of a spicy kick. It was a rainy night so it wasn’t crowded and everything was prepared perfectly!

Was fun. Food was good. We had a good time. But service for Sunday lunch (after Thanksgiving) was a bit sketchy. Ordered a second Peroni - had to get it from the bar ourselves because someone forgot....just little things like that. Overall enjoyed lunch and it didn't really matter.

This place has lost its charm. It's trendy now. Management overbooks reservations. We had a 7:30 reservation. We called at 6:15 wondering if we could come early. We were told if we arrive by 6:45, it might be a 15 minute wait. We arrived at 6:45 and were told it would be a 40 minute wait (which would be 7:25). Okay, crowds happen. So we're basically waiting for our original reservation, which we understand. When we check at 7:30, we're told it'll be another 40 minutes. We found that everyone around us (like 30 people) were all waiting 45 minutes or more past their reservation times. The explanation was that it was a holiday and people were dining longer than usual. The restaurant staff admitted that they knew this happens every year and management chose to way overbook anyway and kept people waiting way past their reservation times. We've been eating here for decades. We're not coming back. The food's not good enough to justify being treated like this.

We came here for our Thanksgiving dinner. I planned more than a week ahead since I know it will be busy. Our reservation was at 7:30 PM. We came 10 minutes early. I was expecting to wait at least until 7:30 to be seated but we did not get seated until 8:15 PM. We waited for almost an hour. I understand it’s a busy time which is why I made a reservation. We waited like everyone who did not have a reservation. This is very disappointing.

The food was okay. We ordered the crab alfredo and cioppino. Not the best.

I will most likely not come back to this place and I do not recommend this especially if you’re a visitor in the area like me. Waste of time and money.

Thanksgiving was crowded as expected and seemingly understaffed for the crowd. Our waitress in the patio
was amazingly efficient and upbeat with my party of 4 considering the monumental task she was handling. I hope all her diners tipped her well. Food was good as usual.

TOCH is open 365 days a year so it’s a great holiday meal choice. Went for Thanksgiving with friends/family and it, as always, was wonderful. The hot clam juice is a stupendous way to start a meal. Everyone started with the original clam chowder and then had a different entree and all were happy with their choices. The service was more than top notch. We go on a regular basis but, if you’ve never been, hustle in over.

Dinner for 5 on a Monday so we were 1 of few tables. But while service often suffers on slow nights, that was not the case here. Everything was delivered promptly and served fresh. Food was delicious. My only regret was failing to request no butter sauce as prefer shellfish without - but that's on me. Everything exceeded expectations and was excellent value for the quality and quantity of shrimp, mussels and crab legs served. DELISH!

Okay this was our third visit to this restaurant the first two were fine Saturday evening took my brother because we had enjoyed it the other two times. The service was slow they were not very busy 8 on a Saturday evening. The first course came immediately followed by are entrees. We had steamed clams very nice, crab alfredo lackluster expensive for the amount of crab in the entree, and crab enchiladas. The enchiladas were served on a skillet sizzling sauce melted cheese look wonderful however the inside of the crab enchilada was cold like out of the refrigerator cold. Took a few minutes for the waiter to check on us advised of the cold entree he took the food back to the kitchen. After about 15 minutes we flag them down and then he said they were we were cooking a new one. Finally the crab enchiladas were served the plate was sizzling the sauce was bubbling again the inside was not hot but at this point I ate about half an enchilada. Then the server Pact my leftovers and did not include everything from the platter. Since our first visit about 3 months ago the prices have increased 25% based on the bread being $0.99 and now a dollar 25. Our previous fish fry was what about 1799 and now around 2299. Unfortunately we thought we had found our go-to place for a quick on and off the freeway in San Francisco but I guess we will have to find somewhere else not happy anymore bad service mediocre food substantial price increase. I am sure they won't miss our business as they have been there since 1861.

Fish was cooked correctly and portions were large. The Kettle Krisp Chicken, while presented as if it were a New England Clambake looked yummy, the chicken was over cooked and dry. The platters of clams and Dungeness crab going to other customers looked fabulous.

Prices seemed a little high, but the kitschy decorations, large portions, and properly cooked fish made this a really good find. Tables were plentiful, but a little close together, so it was neat that the noise level wasn’t an issue.
