   Very disappointed. Warm beer (guess that is expected). 3 dishes (starters, entree and main) delivered at the same time on a tiny table. Oysters were fine, eggplant based entree was frozen ?? Main was obviously cold by the time I got to eat it and not at all pleasant. No interest from wait staff / not willing to engage. Left the food / paid the bill - never to return.

   We were a disappointed. The restaurant is cramped and a bit uncomfortable. Very small tables. The food was inconsistent. Whilst my dishes were amazing, my husband's dishes were sub standard. We booked the restaurant as it came highly recommended but it was a bit of a let down unfortunately. Staff were friendly. It would be good if they could offer to take diners' coats to the cloakroom as there is really no space at the tables.

   The Butchers came highly recommended to us by a good friend, and we were not disappointed one bit, the staff are very attentive without being over the top, they had a great selection of food that will tempt most palettes, wine list not bad either. We arrived around 10 minutes late due to heavy traffic, we were greeted with a smile and shown to our table, we were given ample time to peruse the menu to decided our starters and our main courses, all were prepared to perfection too. So if you are in the area it is must definitely worth a visit.

   Our Annual get together at the Cheltenham Festival would not be the same without a meal at The Butchers, and we had a superb meal on Thursday night, particularly the Calves liver, which was cooked to perfection !

   Went on 2 occasions this week as Cheltenham week.Despite being very noisy from racegoers & very busy we had a lovely meal although service a bit chaotic.Would heartily recommend.

   We ate here about a year ago And the food was superb But our meal was average and my fish was over cooked Waitresss was excellent

   We had a gorgeous lunch at The Butchers on our last day in Stow on the Wold. The menu was fantastic as it catered for both fish lovers and meat people. I had the chilli and crab spaghetti which was full of flavour and not sparse on the ingredients. My fiancé had the roast which featured a Yorkshire pudding the size of his head and roast beef which was ridiculously soft. We had amazing desserts and cocktails to go with it and the staff were very friendly. It was probably the nicest meal on our trip and we would definitely go back.

   4 of us went here on 25th February Great atmosphere as soon as we entered It was bustling in there but service was great. We were shown to our table straight away and were served our drinks whilst we looked at menu Menu was good. Different to the usual restaurant menus. We had starters, mains and desserts and loved it all Service was great. Attentive but not too much Would recommend this restaurant and would go again if in the area

    We were having a night away and The Old Butchers was the perfect venue for us to relax together and enjoy a night out together. Everything was spot on, the service, the menu, the food and the location. All just perfect
