Great evening. Food was delicious and service great we will be back.
We were in Germany last year and had authentic German Schnitzel that was to die for.
The Old Bavaria Haus was just exactly the same. Tender, flavorful.
Excellent schnitzel, the portions were very big and the veggies and potatoes were also done perfectly.
The food was spectacular. Very fresh with a great variety!
German food which is reliably good. Nice staff, cozy restaurant.
We asked for a quiet section, and were very pleased.
Brought my husband and friends who have never had German cuisine before. Thoroughly enjoyed the schnitzel meal.
Looking forward to the next visit.
years ago when the German fellow owned it you got lots of gravy on your schnitzel, the other night you could barely see it... a little more would be better
Plus it was cold in the restaurant most people had their coats on
Friendly staff, great food, love the atmosphere and interior! Very cosy place. Been here three times, will come more.
The service wasn't great. The waitress didn't know what exactly the bar carried. She also was a little rude and not very accommodating.
Always enjoy the food at Bavaria Haus - the schnitzel is very good. Glad we made reservations as it was quite busy - but the staff were good and the food came out very quickly.
Great restaurant with a nice ambiance. Service was wonderful.
Went with friends before going to a play at the Vagabond Theatre in Queen's Park. We all enjoyed our meals and service was first-rate. It was a fun evening.
Great spot in New Westminster,we're regulars who come for the great Schnitzel and attentive friendly service, menu has a great selection ,not just Schnitzel
Thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience. The food seemed to be very authentic German food and everything, even the desert was yummy. Would definitely eat there again.
Our server was incredible. Just the best
Very lovely place, flowers on the tables. Great food ( choice and quality) amazing value, well trained, friendly and professional staff. We had Valentine's Day dinner- no waiting at all, our Wiener snitzels came in no time. really nice place, we will for sure come back again.
Very yummy food and a variety of food .will be going back for sure
Our waiter was very over busy perhaps because he was on his own. A young chap delivered bread but offered no other help. The waiter was great but too rushed. It was Valentine’s Day though so we get it. The food was great. We will be back for regular date nights. We have to try all the schnitzels.
Food was great as was the service should definitely be on ones list of places to go
From the time you enter and are greeted to the time you leave - service is great. Good food and drinks menu with many choices. Highly recommended
Good food and atmosphere. Excellent. It was a long drive but worth it.
The food here was good as usual. The crazy lady at the front table ruined the experience for the other 4 tables in the room. A staff member was having a private celebration in the other room. Would have been a better experience if our table was in the other room. We work in the hospitality field, so would notice more then most. But all the other tables commented out loud how disruptive the crazy lady was. We were the voluntary sounding block (we gave the waitress permission to vent)
Our reservation was at 19h30, we had to wait until 19h50 before someone realized that few people were waiting in the entrance. At 20h00 our table still wasn't ready... We had to wait another 10 min to get the menus and when we mentioned the wait to the host (who seemed to be the person in charge that night) he reluctantly offered us a beer. I'm not sure if they were short staff but the service was poor. We were hoping to find a new spot for German comfort food but just for the service, we won't go back.
The food and service was good.
This is our favorite restaurant. it is consistently good and the service is always good as well. I would highly recommend!
Had the most enjoyable time. Entertaining server! Excellent dinner!
Great food with exceptional service. Quiet enough to enjoy a nice conversation while eating some great German food . I would highly recommend these folks.
I love going to the Old Bavaria Haus, always great food, great service and fantastic ambiance
Great Food - cozy German Bavarian ambiance - priced right with generous portions - we will be back !
Food was really delicious. Came out nice and hot which is awesome. But took quite a long time to get the food. I often don't notice if the wait for food is long, but I noticed this time as it was a particularly long wait time. Even so, I would totally recommend this place.
The house is very quaint and the restaurant has some very delicious Bavarian cuisine. I recommend the combo platter which includes schnitzel, beef rouladen, bratwurst, and spätzle.
Please note that this location is busy most days of the week but they do have quite a few tables. However, if you desire a more quiet time for dinner, I recommend coming after 7:30 pm.
We always enjoy The Old Bavaria House! Great staff and great food!
The ambiance is great. Food was good, especially the soup. Service was friendly and good. We can highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you want something a little different.
We were at the Taste of Vienna concert at the Orpheum and wanted to finish the occasion with a Bavarian/Viennese meal. Very enjoyable.
As always the perfect place for a special night out
We have been going to the resteraunt for over 25 years and have never been disappointed.
Favourite place in new Westminster for special dinners.
This place never lets me down. Consistently good food and great service. Always my go to place to take guests from out of town and my best friend's and mine favourite place for girl's night out!! Thank you
As usual, we were immediately seated. The service was just right, prompt but not intrusive. The highlight, of course, was the wonderful food. We all enjoyed escargot as an appetizer. It is always difficult to choose the entre, but this time we enjoyed Chicken Breast Tofino, Schnitzel Rockefeller and Roasted Garlic Potato Pancakes and Spatzle "Taegar Art". Oh, the Black Forest sauce and the red cabbage is to die for. Until next time!
We love this place. It's a nice place for ax romantic date out. The setting is cozy and intimate and everything is delicious.
Food just average, ladies washroom was neglected badly
We reserved at the Bavaria house as it is a local neighbourhood restaurant for us. The food is always good and the service is friendly and efficient. We can always rely on this great restaurant for consistency and great food.
