About The Office
A place where whimsy and gastronomical delights go hand in hand, The Office is a modern American Gastropub... A place that is comfortable where the food is as important as the drink, not quite a bar and not quite a restaurant, The Office is offering a casual-meets-refined atmosphere that welcomes beer drinkers and wine snobs, non-fussy eaters and foodies alike. The Office Ratings and Reviews
Sorry to say that this visit was sub-par. We were one of the first customers when The Office opened. Even my dad, 96, loves the burgers!
But this visit it was not even full —-it was busy. Poor survice and errors on the order — and food was not even hot! The manager said she was sorry and comped our drinks and a percentage on the food. Still, we would prefer better service, better quality meat, and getting what we ordered!!!
Try going next time on an off night — maybe lunch! But it will take a while u til we go back!
Host service is horrible. They don't care about the business or the customers. There are a few servers that are trying to make a great experience. Also deceptive about the happy hour menu situation. One day they can serve you at the table another day they can't and send you to the bar. Make up your mind. The food is the only thing that would keep me coming back. Kudos to the chef!
Awful from beginning to end.. had a 8.30 reservation ... did not seat us until after 9pm ... they forgot ..
Burger came out rare .. we ordered mediums
plus ... they took it back and returned it to us in the most unappetizing way .. smashed and off the roll...we spoke to the manager ... he didn't understand what we meant.
Normally we dine here when in town ... never again
We always love the food and service here but this time the kitchen was slammed with 3 big parties. Our one app and one burger took forever to come out- over 30 min per item. The waitress was very attentive and apologetic and we know this was not her fault. Thank goodness we were not starving because our total sit down to finish time was over 90 min.
All we had was the pretzel and a turkey burger plus a dessert to go.
We had a delightful dinner at the Office on Saturday. We tried two different appetizers, the mac and cheese balls and the signature cauliflower and both were excellent. Our entrees were served and everyone agreed that theirs was excellent. The place was packed and there was lots of energy in the place. Would recommend this place for a good night out.
Oddly, a bunch of stuff didn't go quite right, but we're giving them a pass and still rating it 4 stars and we'd still go back. They did forget to bring our appetizer, then the steak was well done and not medium, but overall we did enjoy the rest of the food, it is smack in the middle of the Delray Beach scene, the drinks were excellent (no doubt influencing the review), and as I said, we'd go back.
Our server was phenomenal. All the food was great. The turkey burger was a bit salty, but still good and I am sure it is not that way all the time. Not great for big tables, but our server was outstanding and worked with it, despite having such limited space to move around. and get around with stantions, umbrellas, people walking on the street and up to the entrance and uneven seems between tables. A true pro.
We found the restaurant on Yelp, when checking out reviews of a nearby restaurant. We got there early and were promptly seated. The service was very good, as was the food. My only complaint is that when I reserved the table using OpenTable, I had specified that it was a special anniversary. Unfortunately, nothing was done for us, nor was it mentioned. I don't know when OpenTable didn't pass the information along, or if it was the fault of The Office. Other than that, nice job!
The food once we got our order taken and it arrived was good. large portions. Brunch menu served on the 4th. Bottomless mimosa and margaritas. The problem was the service. The hostess seated us without menus and then it was 10 minutes before the waitercame to even check on us. We asked for menu he left mumbling something then came back and put 3 down and the 4th he put near me. I asked if that was a special drink menu he said no it was for me to hold for my son. (my son is 11 not an infant). Ok, so once my parents were seated (and my 1st margarita had still not shown up) my dad had a question about the beers. He started to ask the waiter who walked away. When he came back my dad finally go to order his beer. (still no margarita). The waiter left again, came back said they were out of the beer he wanted and walked away without my dad getting a chance to order a different one. My dad yelled he would take X brand instead across the floor. We saw our guy with a tray that had a beer and a margarita on it, we were so excited, until he passed our table and brought it somewhere else. UGH! Ok so he comes back to the table (we have now been sitting for 35 minutes) and asks if we want to order. He goes to my son 1st (not me or my mom, but that is an aside) takes his order for the Office Burger looks at me and said oh you dont have your margarita yet? Let me get you one and leaves. Yes, without taking anyone else's order (while yes i would have liked my drink I also wanted to order). Walks away and comes back about 5 minutes later, margarita and beer in hand. We finally order our food and bam bam eating within 10 minutes. At least the kitchen has it together.
Tonight will be the very last time I will EVER go to this restaurant. Food was cold and took HOURS! My friends and I had to end up splitting the bill OURSELVES because the waitress /waiter could not assist us. When I tried to get the manager he stated, ' I'm going as fast as I can.' I literally had to help him divide the bill and bring him our individual credit cards. We did inform them PRIOR to our dinner that we would need separate checks. Customer service was horrible and I would advise you to spend your time and money elsewhere! Food is way overpriced and they are not interested in providing you with an enjoyable and relaxing experience.
