Took my partner who just recently moved here for the his first time and he loved it. Sweet server don’t remember his name but very attentive and swift! Meal was perfect, and we had an amazing evening. I wouldn’t expect anything less from The Odeon.
Great food, attentive and friendly staff, a beautiful room and attractive clientele. Highly recommend!
Hostess was great. Waiter ehhh. Food ok
The Odeon always delivers for a great brunch. The food, the service and the atmosphere make for a perfect brunch location.
Check your bill... Double charged for our wine. Server couldn't have cared less.
I met some new colleagues for lunch on a Sunday. I had always wanted to eat at this classic NYC restaurant. The food was fine, but nothing special and the servings we incredibly small. I am sure that the gentlemen were still hungry after the meal!
Always the best!
I have been visiting The Odeon since early 90s and their food and service has remained very good, as it was the case in my latest visit this past Saturday.
Fabulous food, fantastic ambience, loud but we like it that way :)
Has the Odeon ever not been perfect? I've been here hundreds of times and it is hands down the most consistent restaurant in Manhattan. A true gem.
Unsurprisingly, the Odeon is resting on its old laurels. At lunchtime the unimaginative French menu disappointed. Nice staff, though.
Lovely and family friendly. Simple, high quality food!
It’s always great.
I have been going to this restaurant since December 2011.
The restaurant in the recent past has dramatically increased their prices which can almost be understood. What is not understood is why have they dramatically reduced the size of the portions?
One of the appetizers ordered was the kale Ceasar salad. It was delicious BUT no kale after 4/5 bites.
Their classic Tuna Burger has SHRANK in size. Unacceptable for $27.00.
Very accommodating. We arrived 1/2 hour ahead of time and though the restaurant seemed quite busy, they were great about being able to seat us then. We were not rushed to order, but server was close by so we could get here attention when we were ready to order. The food was served in a timely manner, hot and delicious. Would highly recommend The Odeon.
Still unbelievably brilliant. From the food to the service it is top notch in my book even decades later. Sitting at table #5 was also perfecto. Thank you Odeon.
I’ve been coming to the Odeon since 1981 - it has been a consistently reliable and local local restaurant that everyone I know, loves t go to.
Very rare in NYC.
Still great after all these years! Love the Odeon - a true NYC staple.
The line item for $0 for the candle was a little odd.
All food was fresh, terrific.
They retracted the awning so we could have a better view of the Freedom Tower. Nice!
Service was slow. Multiple servers.
Great food and service in a lively downtown classic. Pretty perfect.
Never disappoints... perhaps an odd thing to comment on but when going down to the w/c... no icky greasy kitchen mat smell... being a former chef it’s anpleasure to dine in a restaurant that knows how to really clean...deliciously prepared food, great service... wonderful to have a place that never disappoints.
This is a must for us each visit
Today the Corn Ravioli was amazing the service is always great my husband usually enjoys the pork chop however the lamb was amazing
What a place for breakfast!!!
This is one of my favorite places in New York City. It has an authenticity that is impossible to reproduce. New places come and go, but The Odeon is an NYC timeless classic. The food is phenomenal and consistent. The wine list is so good and will surprise you with something you didn’t expect. Definitely recommended
Best bacon cheeseburger in town!
Great local place. Friendly staff, very good food.
The food was amazing. Highly recommend! I went with my family and we all liked it.
First went to Odeon in the 80s, still has the great look and feel. Support this wonderful part of New York history.
Absolutely one of our favorite places in NYC. We dine there every week.
Delicious as always, and it’s sweet corn ravioli with black truffle season!
Super friendly and great service always a New York staple
Food was great overall my waiter didn’t check in on me if I wanted something else.
Always delicious, always great service and always good service!
Being going to Odeon for years and the food was great as usual. This time, however, the server was very nice, but a little forgetful even though it wasn’t that crowded.
I have been coming to this restaurant since
the 80s ans have experienced it in many incarnations including post 9/11 when it was one of the only downtown eateries to remain open. Unlike many restaurants they will seat you when you arrive even if your whole party isn’t there and the entire staff is professional and pleasant on top of which the food is well prepared and tasty. So I’m a big fan. 😊
Not worth for what you are paying. We had brunch here: my overpriced omelette was uncooked and came with nothing but a dry salad. No bread or jams or anything like that.
