Sticky rice dish was good although quite small.
The latte coffee was terrible- no milk foam and overpoweringly strong.
I have been coming to the Odeon since the late 80’s. Always a great place.
I have been there numerous times before but this visit was odd. There were so many weird things about the restaurant that day....My friend was on a diet for health reasons and ordered the salmon. The waitress said okay and returned 15 min later to tell us they couldn't prepare salmon for my friend. So she had to leave and get lunch elsewhere....my other friend asked for one yolk in her omlette and they refused to do that so she had to order one yellow egg on the side.
Great staff. Love the atmosphere.
Classically predictably wonderful!
Loved it, as always!
The Odeon is far the best place in NYC, thoroughly... An authentic american restaurant, a meeting point, a reference for architecture, art and style with an atmosphere infilled with caracter and consistency. The slow-motion ceiling fans are the remarkable touch within the art-deco ambiance - it enhances the spatiality with the notion of time - almost a cinematographic perception - which adds something intense to our experience there. This is a NYC landmark. Timeless... We simply love it! 🖤
Amazing Thanksgiving Turkey dinner!!
We returned to Odeon for Thanksgiving and it was perfect again.
BF (who is a chef) and I had wonderful Thanksgiving dinner here. Staff were in great spirits and didn’t show any signs of remorse for working on a major holiday. Had the Thanksgiving prix fixe 3 course dinner and all food was consistently well prepared and full of flavor. Additional mashed potatoes and stuffing available as side dishes for those who love a second serving of holiday comfort foods. We have eaten here before and were just as pleased with the food, ambience and service as any other time. The Odeon is a NYC classic for solid bistro fare and consistently delivers. Highly recommended.
Terrific thanksgiving meal.
Excellent food and service!
Stopped by after a visit to the hospital. Very healing.
Awesome ambience, lovely food
We had a wonderful brunch.
The food was delicious. I had the herb chicken salad on challah baguette. Next time I’ll ask for it not to be toasted.
Great corner table so we could look out on the room.
My fiancée and I stole a quick weekend lunch away from from our five-year old: this was the place to go. Grown up and still fresh after all these years. The real professionals.
The Odeon is a quaint and small, but elegant French brasserie that doesn’t disappoint. I booked it on a whim, knowing I had other choices (as I booked well in advance). Our server, Uki, was attentive, patient and accommodating seek him out; he is top notch! We ordered the steak tartar and it was very tasty, but it reminded me of a well-seasoned raw burger or meatloaf. I rather expected (and preferred) thin slices of raw steak. The tuna burger on the other hand was delightful and worth coming back for. All-in-all, I will return, as The Odeon has that good “NYC” feel to it and you just might make some new forever friends- like we did!
We love the Odeon and always include a dinner there every time we visit New York.
I love this place. Great menus at all the right times of day, space, ambience, great quality food. Friendly, efficient service. And the room is vintage NYC. My go-to place downtown for meals with both friends and clients.
Great service, tasty food and a wonderful consistency - thank you! Keep up the great work!
Way to noisy for a conversation.
Fun/loud. Not good for reading. Good food, reasonable.
The kale caesar salad is really delicious. The noise level can be distracting if you're trying to talk, but the drinks and the salad made up for it.
We had an awesome New York casual feel awesome dinner
Staff was excellent for a late day lunch. French onion soup was average so definitely overpriced. May consider this venue for drinks only in the future.
It was perfect. Host greeted us promptly and seated us and the server came quickly and was very thorough friendly and helpful. It was festive and wonderful Thank you
A pleasant place. Reservations a must. Very noisy at peak lunch hour with tables close together.
Portions are small.
I love this restaurant. The commensurate NYC brasserie, my favorite in the city. Very noisy and crowded, so be aware.
Simply wonderful. Every dish was amazing, as was the wine and the service. A bit 'pricey', but hey, it's NYC and Odeon is definitely a winner.
Odeon is a downtown delight, always beautiful food, charming service and a fun, easy vibe. A trip to New York would not be complete without Odeon time, from a former New Yorker to the California foodie I am, it always pleases. I have always loved the room and it owns its bohemian bistro feel.
Run don’t walk.
We enjoyed a lovely table, excellent service and tasty food amidst a busy Saturday lunch crowd. This place continues to deliver high quality food with great service during even the busiest times. We love it here!
Very nice ambiance and great food but little pricy.
Great neighborhood restaurant. The food and service are always good and it couldn't be more convenient for me. The atmosphere is upbeat and lively and very New York. I love to take guests from out of town there and have been doing so since 1982!
We were greeted by name, the staff was friendly and most accommodating and we loved our table. The waiter was evidently fairly new but he made a nice effort and offered good service.
The food was tasty and our overall experience most pleasant, as always.
The Odeon is a reliable New York institution, in a beautiful room. Food is always great, and the staff is always on point. Never disappointed...
The Odeon hasn’t changed in 20 years - it remains perfect.
Odeon is my go to. Love the staff and the food. Bring a regular there is a pleasure!
Food was fantastic! Mussels + pumpkin ravioli + meatballs! Warm donuts completed the meal. We will be back!
No 5-Star rating today. With only one exception, our lunch was the usual great food, great service meal. Our server seemed somewhat intent on not listening to the orders, which were repeated several times. Most came out correctly and mine was the only meal sent back since it was an entirely different salad from what I had ordered. Several people stopped by to apologize and the correct salad cane out shortly. My only suggestion? I may be old-fashioned, but I hate having to ask for bread to accompany a meal. It’s a bistro — Please, serve the bread and butter.
Delicious and reliable, even after all these years.
