choice of french fries or mixed greens. Parker House bun, yellowfin tuna, wasabi mayonnaise
vanilla ice cream, toasted almonds, chocolate sauce
It was amazing as always. Even though it was the last day that restaurants were open before mandatory closure due to COVID-19. Have love The Odeon for more than 20 years.
Love Odeon and it is our favorite restaurant in our neighborhood. Food is always excellent and service is great.
the odeon was perfect as always. looking forward to my next visit.
This restaurant was a bit of a disappointment. We dined early on a Friday night and took our seats shortly after 6 PM. What we found were two very annoying things. First, there was no waiter assigned to our table. Rather, it appeared to be a tagteam arrangement involving no less than three different servers. None of them appeared to talk to each other so we had maddening instances in which three different waiters would come by the table and ask the same thing (how is the food?) and equally maddening incidents in which we could go for some amount of time without anyone attending to our needs (e.g. more water). Second, it was obvious that all of the waiters were anxious to turn the table and all three of them came by as we were ordering dessert and started clearing the table, asking us if we wanted anything else, wiping the table as we lifted our glass, etc. When my wife asked for a refill on her coffee, the waiter’s dissatisfaction was written all over her face. Frankly, the three of these servers did everything but pull our chairs out from under us after about 75 minutes. Besides this, food is OK, the noise level is robust and the prices are typical Manhattan, i.e. Inflated by about 30%.
Relaxed, good service, fine food.
Amazing hospitality from the busboys to the GM
Great place for classic french food, if you’re looking for typical laid back bistro ambience and great food
Always a great atmosphere, good food, nice service. Great steak tartare, Bloody Mary and molten chocolate cake ! A Classic to love !
We went to brunch at the Odeon for our daughters,25th. It was an upbeat crowd, very busy. Staff was attentive and knowledgeable. We did not ask for a candle but our server surprised us with one on our donuts, nice touch. The food was excellent, certainly overpriced for the level of cuisine but that is the area, we knew what we were getting into.
It was wonderful! Kieran was lovely as were our servers. Everyone made it a special birthday for my brother. Thank you!!
It is a classic. Consistently excellent, fun environment. welcoming to kids, sometimes a little loud.
A serious disappointment at our neighborhood go-to restaurant: barely cool martinis, cool omelettes and even cooler fries. We should have sent everything back but the restaurant was filled and it was ear-splitting noisy and we wanted to get out.
Forever and always, a classic.
been coming here for more than twenty years now and it's as good as ever.
Excellent service and the food was specially outstanding.
Our Server Carolina was adorable , food was very good .
Overall great experience !
Still a fun and lively scene, food better than it needs to be, service kind and moderately attentive, people happy to be there. Great that it’s still around. No cobwebs visible....
I was very disappointed in my eggs benedict.
Also felt rushed.
Server was delightful even though I felt rushed.
We love Odeon!
I ordered the avocado toast. It was on one very small piece of bread with nothing else on the plate. The fries were separate.
Our friend ordered the smoked salmon and bagel. The plate was boring, the bagel an embarrassment to NYC.
How many New York City restaurants are still going strong over 30 years past their peak commercial fame? This old reliable art deco bistro is still chugging along with classic French technique and seasonal farm ingredients. The front and back of the house both know their domains well and refuse to change, thank goodness. Please keep serving those spicy chicken dumplings, strip steak frites, and profiteroles for years to come.
A little cramped seating
The food came before the drinks which was spilled
Consistently good go-to. Food and service are always great.
Truly great service and nice ambience make for a great experience. The centerpiece Steak Frites was good, not great. The portion would be considered a tad small for the $42 they charge so I guess we paid for ambience? Overall a good experience and I'd return again.
We like the relaxed feel of this place, but quite noicy. Everyone loved the steak frites. Service was well-timed and friendly. We would certainly like to return to Odeon!
Most reliable and best wait staff in New York : attentive, knowledgable and fun ! Great food !
Great spot, great food and awesome service. Always on point!!!
A beautiful room, filled with elegant people and delicious food. The service is attentive and efficient. The host even contacted me to return a item left behind. Can't wait to dine there again soon.
Always consistent, always no bread unless you ask and no pouring of water unless you ask! Love this place!! 35+ years and still going stong!
Always perfectly NYC!!!!!
It was my second time at Odeon, and I really enjoyed it!
An old tribeca standby that never disappoints.
Always dependable: great special soup/winter pasta recipe good/burger and fries satisfying.
service was slow every step of the way, which was a little annoying. otherwise, all 4 of us were pleased with the meal.
Simply the best place to share a meal with old friends.
