I have aways wanted to dine at the ODEON. Ever since I read Bright Lights Big City and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent and the service was wonderful. The atmosphere was perfect for chatting and discussing. I would HIGHLY recommand The ODEON was a perfect place to meet in NYC
We had high expectations that weren’t met. The soup of the day was unremarkeable. The frisée salad was too salty. The service was punctual but not warm. It’s a popular place which makes it a bit crowded and noisy.
Always and forever great.
Food was pretty good. Classic NY restaurant
Odeon continues to delight their customers... I started going to Odeon in 1985. 30 years later, I like it even more now than I did then. They are consistent with good service, fun atmosphere and delicious food!
Good food but we were chatting fir 15 mins after our coffee n we were basically thrown out... manager appeared with our checked coats without us asking..
been going for years always steady and reliable and great interior
Weekday lunch at Odeon is more relaxed than dinner and a better chance to take in the fabulous decor. Same reliable food, including a perfect baby kale Caesar.
This place is an icon and staple for over 30 years for a reason. The wine selection is top notch. The food very very good bistro food. The ambiance and history make it that much more desirable than most other places down that sort of town. The wait was about 20 minutes past my reservation but it was Valentine’s Day so not that bad. The food was coursed and just 5 stars across the board. The steak tartare is perfect. The scallops hmmm so perfectly cooked and the blues crab salad was so fresh and well balanced. The wait staff was very friendly and perfectly attentive not too little not too much. The front of house was slo very warm and welcoming and they dealt with other unfriendly patrons very professionally. I will always eat here when I’m i the neighborhood. Until next time!
The Odeon has become a new favorite for us. I’ve been going there since the 80s, when TriBeCa was still a semi-desolate wasteland filled with dilapidated warehouses and gigantic commercial garages. The food is unpretentious and dependable, the service and atmosphere relaxed and classy.
They were so accommodating, we added 4 people to the group.
Food was amazing, it always is.
Been going there for the last 10 years
avocado toast is super delicious and fries crispy just like I like them
We Loved the Odeon! Amazing food and service. We were so glad to have reservations because it was packed when we left! We felt like we were eating in Old New York like movie stars. Would definitely go back! We loved everything the waitstaff recommended!
A great restaurant over all, Nice ambiance, nice French Bistro kind of food. All waiters are friendly and nice, but a bit too efficient ( I understand that they are trained to act so) but as a guest you feel a bit stressed, to order or to leave
Great, quick service, good food, good value.
Love the atmosphere and service. But the tuna melt was cold and bland.
Fabulous place for many years now neighborhood gem
We were recommended this restaurant when I travelled from Sweden to New York with some friends to celebrate my 70th birthday. The food was very good and the service EXCELLENT! However, the noise level was so high that you could not comfortably converse across a round table, which was a disappointment.
Always a good choice. Good food, drink and service.
The server and food were amazing!
The Odeon is a go-to favorite. The staff and restaurant are always warm and inviting. Great for downtown business meeting; even with a full room of people, you can have a normal level conversation.
The food. Was skimpy and very disappointing. Main me and dessert
Very different from normal.
Staff was great
Warmth would be the one word I would use if I were limited to a single word. Warmth meaning: the ambience, the lighting, the overall mood, as well as the friendliness and professionalism of the staff, which is unsurpassed. The sound is lively and upbeat, yet there is never a problem having a conversation at your table. I have loved The Odeon for years and plan on enjoying many more marvelous meals there, they are always superb.
I nice evening at a wonderful place. The french onion soup was a bit sweet, but the balance of the meal was incredible.
Great. Love this place.
I had heard good things about the restaurant so I decided to try it last minute. We ordered the spicy chicken dumplings and two burgers. The dumplings were mediocre and definitely not worth $17 but the burgers were perfect! Cooked perfectly and very tasty! Will definitely go back soon.
Went with the girlfriend on date night. Transports you to a dimly lit, retro eatery from the 1980s. Fantastic menu, service, and atmosphere. I got the pasta and it was delicious. Girlfriend got the sticky purple rice bowl and enjoyed it immensely. Kale Caesar salad was also phenomenal.
A typical dining at Odeon: welcoming hosts, good cocktails and wine, efficient wait and bus staff, well cooked food and an espresso worth drinking. What more could one want?
Love Odeon! It’s always great and one of my favorite places in NYC.
The warm donut bites (appetizer) and accompanying raspberry and butter maple sauces are to die for! Also highly recommend the croque monsieur.
