Gorgeous setting and delicious food and cocktails. Outstanding service. Loved the whole experience and valet parking a bonus. Will definitely be back. Be sure to make a reservation.
We were a little disappointed with the food. It was just okay. Lovely restaurant overlooking the Atlantic but food....just okay.
The Cape Cod Potato Chip encrusted Cod fish was unusual and and wonderful. Service was perfect (especially since it was very busy).
Ocean House is our favorite restaurant on Cape Cod. Consistently good!
Fantastic food. Can only imagine the ocean views (it was a dark night on our visit).
We were reserved for our favorite table by the fireplace to celebrate our 49th Anniversary. Service was exceptional and all meals were well presented and delicious . During the summer the ocean view is spectacular. Highest rating
From our first date to 16 years later, the Ocean House is still our favorite restaurant.
Absolutely fabulous food and atmosphere!
Love this restaurant! Food is always great. Some things are pricey, but worth it. We had a table, unfortunately, that was in the doorway path this last time, so it was cold every time the door was opened. The bar is also fun and entertaining. We did not sit in there on this night. It is a reliable place for good food.
Great location, food and service. Worth the price!
We always love Ocean House. The food arrives hot and delicious with innovative ingredients used in new ways. The presentation is lovely. Every plate is a picture. The seafood was very fresh and there were huge pieces of lobster in my dish and lots of scallops and shrimp too! Absolutely fabulous. I have never had a bad meal here.
Had a wonderful dining experience. The ambience and service were stellar; the food was good; the view is priceless.
I have been a customer for 15 years. Never less than GREAT all around whether sitting alone at the bar watching a Celtics game, "showing it off" to visitors, or hanging out with friends
We had been to Ocean House a year ago. We loved the ambiance and thought the food was very good. This time the food was just average, but expensive. The dessert was not good at all.
I am not inclined to return.
Great spot in the summer, although very hard to get a reservation. I had friends down in December and was excited to finally get a reservation after telling them how great my last experience was, after dining here in July.
When we arrived, we did not know that we were the last reservation before the kitchen closed, which was 30 minutes away. I felt the waitress rushed us and the appetizer, meal and dessert came out too quickly. The food was average, not bad but not the excellent quality I had during the summer season. The pasta was sticky, the portion was small and the dessert was not good. I was very disapointed after hyping up the place to my friends who had waited months to finally try it. I do wonder if there are different chefs in the off season. I will go back again in the summer and give it another chance, but for off season dining it was not worth the price.
My absolute favorite restaurant on the Cape. The food is always fantastic, service is great, setting is lovely. Highly recommended!
I can’t say enough about this place. It’s just perfect in every way.
Great food. Service is sloppy at times - not enough service staff, and they appear rushed.
No fault with the food;
As always, the Ocean House did not disappoint, this time for Sunday brunch. OMG - it was fantastic. My 3 friends all had Lobster Benedict with spinach, and added avocado. It looked great and they all raved about it. I had the Bento Box, which was a tray with 3 different items - 2 little reuben sandwiches, everything house made (wonderful!), pork hash with 2 sunnyside up eggs with hollandaise sauce (hash = delicious), and fried naan bread with an egg torta with cheese and a dollop of a fruit chutney (I think), I am not sure which one was my favorite, it was all great. We had a variety of their dessert coffees and martinis for lunch - was a great experience. Our waiter, Kristian, was hilarious and very attentive, but not overly so. He keep us entertained and well informed. Unfortunately, there are only 2 more Sundays for brunch until they close for the winter. PLEASE - continue to offer this menu when you reopen in the spring!!!
Been here many times and always find it with great food and service
Great as usual. Love the food, the ambiance, the setting
We were seated promptly, the waitress serving us was pleasant and patient. The drinks we ordered were made well and served timely. The appetizer was great ( vegetable spring rolls ) as were the entree’s ( Pad Thai / Salmon ). Great all around experience .... so far we are 2 for 2 with the Ocean House!
Excellent meal, service & atmosphere. Food had special attention to delicious flavors.
Ocean House is always good. Especially nice when it is light enough to see Nantucket Sound.
My favorite place to eat for a nice meal in the Cape. I have been going here for years and it's just as amazing as the first time I came for dinner. The Wagyu Sliders are a fan favorite along with the pepperdelle pasta. You can't go wrong with the calamari either. 10/10
We recently attended the Ocean House for our anniversary dinner. The ambiance was amazing and the food was absolutely incredible. The restaurant was relatively quiet which was nice, being the day after Thanksgiving. However, our waitress (Amanda, I think?), although polite, was obviously rushing us through our meal. Between drinks, apps, a main course, and dessert. we were at our table between 8:10 - 9:05. The moment we signed the check she came back literally within seconds and picked it up. My boyfriend hadn't even finished moving his hand away, and she was there to retrieve it. There was almost no downtime between food coming out and her moving us along to the next portion of the meal. She also came back from two cigarette breaks smelling so strongly of tobacco that it gave me a headache. I normally never leave negative reviews and feel badly for doing so, but it was obvious she wanted us in and out as quickly as possible. We would have easily stayed for another two drinks each if we had not been rushed. We assumed we may have been her last table and she wanted to go home which I suppose was understandable being right after the holiday (but for a restaurant at this price point, perhaps unacceptable behavior). However, after the meal we went over the bar for additional drinks and to listen to the live music (excellent, by the way), and when we left around 10 o'clock she was still there, leaning on the hostess station chatting away. Although the food was absolutely incredible and the drinks were perfectly crafted, our particular waitress was very disappointing and, I have to admit, sort of ruined the experience for us. We rarely get out with a two year old in the house and were very much looking forward to the night.
We had an exceptional dining experience celebrating our anniversary with our best friends. Everything was perfect from the waitstaff and ambiance to the appetizers and "large plates." Thank you for making it a perfect evening.
We had a wonderful meal at the Ocean House to celebrate our anniversary. The atmosphere is lovely, and the food is delicious. My husband had the crispy cod and I had the tuna. We split a kale salad that was delightful. Our drinks (a martini and a manhattan) were excellent. Great place for a special occasion.
We went to the Ocean House for Thanksgiving. As its our favorite restaurant, everything was excellent. We arrived a little before our 3:00 reservation & were seated right away. The food was delicious, the service timely & friendly and the decor was beautifully holiday. So glad we have this restaurant 10 minutes from our house!!
The Ocean House had great atmosphere and views of the ocean. The food was amazing and the service was top notch. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. Staff provided great service and you were not rushed. Should be on everyone's list of a must place to dine on the Cape.
This was a special get together with a college friend I hadn't seen in over 30 years. So we weren't really concerned with anything other than enjoying ourselves. We did! The service was excellent, the ambiance was joyful and welcoming. The food was surprisingly disappointing but we didn't really care. Brussel sprouts were undercooked, truffle fries (ridiculously large portion) were wickedly over seasoned and inedible, local scallops (a delicacy) were sweet and delicious but so undersized that I was shocked they bothered to serve them. I'm a local so back off! My best guess is that the regular kitchen squad and chef had the holiday off. No other excuse for seasoning/braising issues makes sense. I will return with a guest during a non holiday time and hopefully enjoy what the vast majority of guests have experienced and described in their posts.
I frequented this restaurant with my parents when I was young. After seeing the great reviews and my mother moving back into this neighborhood, we reserved for Thanksgiving and this was an extraordinary experience for the both of us! Everything was pitch perfect, the greeting, décor, cuisine, service and even the clientele! We ran into people we knew and did not know and had nice conversations with all! This should be a year round restaurant fully booked each and every day it is open. Thank you to all the owner and staff at Ocean House for making our Thanksgiving memorable!
The food was super delicious and an awesome ocean view. A perfect Thanksgiving dinner! Five Stars..🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
We were there for Thanksgiving, lovely day, gorgeous view. Would have like either apple or pumpkin pie for a dessert. Meal was good
Always imaginative food, great bar service, enjoyable music. What more can you ask for brunch with a view of the Ocean?
Fabulous food and atmophere! Outstanding staff and service! The food is fantastic and gets better every time! I have been going to the Ocean House for at least 10 years!!
This place never disappoints, great food, tremendous views of Nantucket Sound, outstanding, professional service, this place has it all!
Excellent service & food. Waitress was very attentive & knowledgeable regarding specials for the evening.
It was my anniversary . Right from the beginning to the end a wonderful evening
I highly recommend dining there.
Great service, great food great bartenders, always love it at the Ocean House!
This was Sunday Brunch and we both had the eggs benedict. I found the ham kind of thick - some might say that is a good thing - and this required a lot of chewing for an egg dish. I prefer my "eggs benedict" with smoked salmon instead of the ham, and I find this to be tastier, easier to eat, and healthier; personal opinion. There was a large - 24 to 26 - person party celebrating a 60th something, and needless to say, they made our conversation very difficult. Parties like this should have a separate room away from the other dinners; this I supposed to be a quiet, relaxing Sunday brunch.
