   Excellent service by waitress named Noelle. Brussel sprout appetizer was excellent. Had two steak frittes and the wild boar special. All were pleased. They do a nice affogato, but use custard instead of ice cream. Will go back.

   Great evening with ambiance, food and service. For some reason though, the hostess tried to sit my elderly parents (who arrived early) outside at the really cold patio instead of the nice and cozy indoor Alcove area. I specifically requested the Alcove with my phone reservation. My parents declined sitting outside bc they were aware of my request. Besides that, everything else was pleasant.

   I was surprised to learn that you were out of quiche on a Saturday at noon. We had the chicken salad which was very good and overall had a very nice luncheon

   The only negative was a lawn crew with movers, leaf blowers and trimmers near the patio for about 45 minutes during the lunch hours. Why not do that before dining services were open on the patio. Our party realized there was nice music on the patio 45 minutes after we were seated. This was minimal noise, it was multiple leaf blowers at high speed 15 feet from the patio. It was a beautiful day but the lack of awareness on this issue was striking.

   We really enjoyed the murder mystery experience. We enjoyed the interactive approach and it was fun being selected as a character/suspect. The evening was a fun experience with our friends. The food overall was disappointing! The short ribs though were very good, but the mashed potatoes sat too long in container before we ate; they were hard and not hot enough. The scoop of rice I selected wasn’t cooked nearly enough; actually tasted hard. Disappointing as we usually love the food at Granville Inn.

   We went at a low traffic time, 4:30pm. Service was good, ambiance was great, and sound level was low. The food was bland and lackluster. The cheese plate appetizer was the best part of the meal -plenty of food. However the description called out raclette which was missing. The French onion soup was not baked as thoroughly as most restaurants. the burger lacked flavor but the fries were good. The Parmesan crusted chicken what lacked flavor and was bland. The most used seasoning was salt. Overall, if you want good food, you and your wallet will be happier at Texas Roadhouse or Olive Garden (even with Olive garden not being great anyway).

   We ordered 2 surf and turfs for $150 each. We ordered it medium rare and one medium rare push, they both ended up being medium to medium well. We were there to celebrate 2 birthdays and they didn’t do anything besides give us 2 postcards that people signed (which was cheap, weird, and disappointing). The steak’s sauce was a hollandaise sauce which was cold. I’ve never dipped a steak in cold sauce, when we asked if it was supposed to come like that the waitress said it was supposed to be cold…. Our meals came with only 4 pieces of asparagus for 2 people. Atmosphere and service was good, food was subpar.

   Good service; good food; table of Dennison "girls" - they made that loud and clear who dropped the F BOMB several times in a "breathe"! HORRIBLY DISRESPECTFUL to all of the other guests/diners. And, the server for that table shared in the disrespect by taking photos, etc.
