Great food, great service!
Go to The Oak several times a year and it never disappoints. Great food, atmosphere, service and changing great menu with attention to detail. Kid friendly as well when we have brought them. Definitely recommend. OVI is a small paradise
I was entertaining friends from out of town and the ambiance and food was terrific. Our server was very friendly and chatted with us and explained the menu. We were seated at a table overlooking the golf course that was perfect. I'll be back for sure.
For dinner, the food was a little less in quality than I would have expected for the high prices. It is a pleasant place to dine in the evening, although once it got dark, it was really dark and somewhat difficult to read the menus. Another candle on the table would have helped. Sunset is a popular time to dine here, but be forewarned that it can be very busy with kids, dogs, golf carts, people walking by and hanging out around the restaurant. If Olivella is closed, then this is basically the only choice for dinner besides the pub. I really think they could use another restaurant at this resort.
love this restaurant and the property. always delightful to stay and dine. think the prices are steep but expected at any resort property as they are typically inflated. but the beauty of the property is worth it!
The atmosphere was wonderful, the grounds are stunning and the layout of The Oak restaurant is perfect. The food was wonderful barring the starters, the asparagus and the greens salad were basically absent of any flavor or inspiration. The filet and the spare rib was incredible as well as mouth watering dessert which made up for the lackluster small plates. Would recommend
The food is expensive and not very good. The burrata was watery and not worth eating. The bread was that Hawaiian sweet bread you can buy at the store. Who eats sweet bread before a meal? Not very classy. The live music was someone strumming a guitar and singing oldies. But it was a pretty setting on a terrace.
Our server and her assistants were outstanding, the fact that she was efficient without been intrusive. She knew how to time the courses without us having to tell her. I asked her name, but didn't write it down, and I forgot it. But I imagine all the servers are good.
Lovely evening on the terrace. Perfect way to spend my birthday! Thank-you OVIS
Quite windy, so outdoor dining was a bit of a challenge.
Food and service was excellent and the views were spectacular!!
Beautiful ambiance and service. Food is on the pricey side, but, very good overall.
Taste bud heaven in a magical and serene location. Service was fabulous - I’ll be back!
The hamburger was not medium, more well and very ordinary...tri-tip sandwich was ok, but again very ordinary..the food was disappointing.
this is always a wonderful dining experience. The food was superb,...service first rate. Our only complaint was that there were many 'screaming 'children which made for a somewhat annoying environment. But we will be back........it is an annual tradition.
Ordered wedge salad. Very weak thin tasteless dressing No steak knife served with salad.
I've stayed at the Inn many times and have eaten at The Oak each time. This time the noise level was terrible, the service very poor and the food - which is usually very good - just mediocre. I would tell anyone I care about to be sure there isn't a convention going on, because that will ruin their entire experience.
Smaller things: I changed my order, but was charged for the old as well as the new entree. I had to track down a waiter, then finally gave up and went to the hostess' desk. We also hadn't received an itemized bill, so couldn't check anything else. When the revised bill was brought to our table, the credit cards were missing. We had to wait again until we could ask someone for them.
All of this was especially disappointing because it was my birthday. A very bad experience.
Everything about our dinner at
My wife and I had lunch the other day and it was outstanding. My lobster Nicoise salad was the best I have ever had. Even the rolls were great. Our waiter was very nice and attentive and of course the ambiance is wonderful. The hostess who greeted us was very friendly so this was a very positive experience and we shall return.
Our servers were lovely and attentive. The food was excellent but came out before the drinks and soup after the lunch was served but it certainly delicious!!!!
Chef Jason is a star— sweet, awesome and humble. He brought out our order for our furry friend and it was piping hot and prepared beautifully. The human food was even better! Xx
We had an amazing mother's day brunch. The spread was impressive, the staff attentive, and we were given a beautiful table looking across the way to the live music. Couldn't have asked for a better brunch
Always great food at the buffet and even better service!
Great food, great service, great ambiance, and great live music
Amazing Mother’s Day dinner
The only reason I gave 4 stars vs 5 ... we had a 12:15 reservation for lunch. We had to wait until 12:45 to be seated -- and there were empty tables while we waited the 30 minutes.
All was amazing, the service was a little slow at the beginning. We waited over 20 mins for our coffee, but then it got much better. The entire experience overall was 5* ! Will definitely come back and would love to experience more of the Inn!
Lovely setting but overall dining at The Oak is rather underwhelming.
Food only average. Service fine.
This is the very same impression I am left with, having dined several times at The Oak in the last few years.
The Inn is a nice place to bring people for a pleasant visual experience.
Had two business lunches there and they were both great. Sat outside overlooking the golf course. Quality of the food and service was very good.
The setting was incredible, delicious all you can eat buffet, and live music. What more could you ask for??
I love brunch at the Inn on the patio. The variety at the buffet is nice, lots of fresh foods and traditional eggs, meats, seafood, pancakes, salads, rolls and deserts displayed beautifully. This time of year a blue grass band is usually playing on the lawn which is an added bonus. There’s fruit juices or you can add their bottomless mimosas, or coffee and maybe an espresso to cap off your meal. The service is always excellent- it’s a very relaxed atmosphere. Good for families or a special get together. I highly recommend this brunch.
Between the wonderful food, perfect views and excellent service, this was a memorable dining experience. Will definitely be back!
Service was amazing.
Food was mediocre to poor.
Salad was a boring combo to begin with- like something you’d get at Denny’s. Tasted wilted and the dressing was hardly detectable in terms of flavor. I ended up putting the balsamic from the bread on the salad... which sat beside a bitter dipping olive oil that tasted like it had gone bad.
The enchilada’s sauce flavors were great, but the veggies inside hadn’t been cooked properly... ie; crunchy (uncooked) potatoes. And the tortillas seemed as though they’d been frozen and then “thawed” whereas a fresh tortilla would have made more sense at a place like that.
It was as though a talented chef came up with the menu (and the sauces?), but a less than talented line cook executed it.
Lovely lunch. Excellent service and food. We inquired about handicapped rooms and Lauren gave us a terrific tour. Thank you Lauren.
The menu and the food are consistently outstanding on every level at very visit.
Good service, great food and great ambiance
This restaurant never disappoints. The food and service are always superb. The location and view are spectacular.
We celebrated my husband's birthday with dinner at The Oak. All of the wait people and staff were incredibly lovely. We enjoyed the gorgeous setting with a view out to the magnificent oak trees lit with lanterns. That was magical. Our food was very good and the portions just right. We sprang for an expensive bottle of wine for the occasion. I have no regrets and would do it all over again in a New York minute.
The ambiance and customer service is excellent but food was very disappointing. My husbands chicken was very dry and veggies well done. I love short rib and that is my go to meal but these were dry and had little flavor. So disappointing! I would say go for the atmosphere but approach with caution!
It’s a thumbs up spot to dine out.
Food was good and the service was great. But the views were amazing and relaxing
