Food was good but pricey, service was beyond terrible. Came here with a party of 5 for a birthday celebration. There was maybe one other table seated when we walked in. Took about 45 minutes to get appetizers and 90 minutes to get our main courses. Meanwhile, tables seated way after us were finished with their meals before we even saw a scrap of food! Nearly impossible to get the waitstaff's attention to find out what on earth was taking so long. Multiple servers and the manager walked past us several times to check on other guests without acknowledging us whatsoever. We had to physically get up and grab the manager to find out what was going on. She was not helpful. Our food finally came after we had already asked for the check because we had waited such an unacceptably long time. We never got an explanation. It's a shame that the staff couldn't take ownership of their mistakes because the food was quite good. If there had been some modicum of accountability, I would be happy to go back. My plan instead is to stay far away.
Best Thai food experience! Food way beyond ordinary. Service was impeccable. Highly recommended.
The meal was excellent, drinks were great. I highly recommend eating here
I dis the reservations for my boyfriends bday and was awesome. The only thing so that you have to wait a little for the food but the attention ask awesome
Food was delicious and ambiance was cozy. We are from out of town visiting family, and would definitely come back next time we are in town.
Friends and I were visiting NYC and staying near Central Park south and were looking for a Thai restaurant. We picked this based on other reviews. We were not disappointed. From the moment we walked in the door until we left we were treated with awesome service. Then the food arrived. The appetizers were delicious. Staff recommendations were spot on. But when my Thai spicy basil noodles arrived I was taken back to place I used to go to run by a mother and son whose recipes were all based on her mother’s. It was the best I have had since then. Prices were reasonable including the wine list. I will be back the next time I am in the city!
Excellent food, the tom yum and the grapefruit salad were incredible. The Brussels sprouts side was superb. I loved it
Nuaa is a warm, quiet, authentic Thai restaurant serving unusual options with exceptional staff. It is reasonably priced for the quality of the food.
The place is nice, good ambience, spacious enough that you don't feel cramped. However we thought the food was just fine, not fine dining and pricey for the portion sizes.
A perfect place with great food and great atmosphere.
We arrived early and we were treated well. Highly recommend.
In NYC for a getaway and found Nuaa on the internet as a Thai restaurant. Was not disappointed at all. Great service, food, drinks. I had the Hen and my wife had the BBack ribs. Perfect size portions to not over fill. The tuna as a appetizer was just as delicious as the entree.
Resturant was really cozy and quant
The food and service was amazing
Can’t wait to go back
Dinning out on Friday after Thanksgiving tends to be hectic but this place was nice and relaxed. The waiters remain calm even after I broke a full glass with the drink they just placed on the table!!!
The food was good and nicely presented. The service was excellent on time but not hurried.
We were able to carry on a conversation even in two different languages!!!
I would definitely go back and recommended to friends who enjoy Thai food!!!
good not great.
i enjoyed all the apps and was soooo disappointed with main courses. pad thai dish was yummy (although someones hair ended up on a plate- nooooo clue if its the kitchen fault or not)
We had booked a table, albeit last minute, only to be kept waiting for almost 25 minutes before being seated. While staff were trying to be pleasant about it, this was annoying: tables shouldn't be made available if they are not going to be ready. But the food was pretty good - and quite innovative - and the decor was tasteful (though probably dark during the day). It took two tries, however, to get hot coffee - and it still turned out tepid! Smoother service seems to be the missing link here.
Excellent Thai restaurant. Beautiful decor
(Check out the ladies room).
The food was delicious and service impeccable.
Great restaurant, attentive staff, excellent food and atmosphere.
Excellent flavors and presentation. The presentation was equally excellent as the taste!
Everything on the menu is delicious. Have been to this place many times and I was never disappointed. Well priced wine and overall a great place
Amazing presentation and service of unique Thai menu. Purple blossom dumplings were so original and tasted almost as good as they looked. Wine menu is short but functional. Staff is very kind and made the meal even more special.
Food was good! Service was on point! Waiters were so attentive and smiled the whole time we were there. The best service I've gotten in NYC restaurant recently.
I had dinner here with two business colleagues. Nuaa lives up to the great reviews, and here's another one. The decor is visually elegant and beautiful, and a cut above most Thai restaurants. Service was warm and attentive. The music was soft and not intrusive at all. When you focus on it deliberately you realize that they're playing Motown and other favorites! The food was almost all superb. One of the best Tom Yum soup's I've ever had. Just at the right level of spice and a symphony of flavor. The calamari appetizer was light, crispy outside and tender inside, with a delicious peanut sauce. Noodles with prawns were outstanding. My colleagues also enjoyed their dishes very much. The pasta in the dumplings with chicken appetizer was a little bit gooey for my taste, but on the other hand one of my colleagues pronounced it delicious. The prices are surprisingly low for this quality of food and overall experience. In a neighborhood not generally known for fine cuisine, Nuaa is a stand out.
We've eaten here a few times and have been very pleased with the food. The food is very good and spiced just right. We were not pleased with the service. This has not happened before and will not deter us from coming back but it was not good.
Wonderful experience as always, our favorite restaurant for date night with my baby.
The quality of the food was outstanding. The service was attentive and great. I would highly recommend giving Nuaa a try. The overall experience is top notch.
Everything was very good, i.e., service, food and ambiance.
Amazing food, quality and quantity was very fair for the price. The cream puff desert is a must!
One of the prettiest Thai restaurants I've found in NYC. Authentic Thai preparation including Thai eggplant. The vegetarian options were good and the quality of the ingredients was very fresh. I enjoyed the som tom, mushroom spring roll app and a great green curry.
This place is so pretty and their dish look and taste good, will definitely come back to try more of their dishes
Good service and good food. Tell the waiter if you do not like your food too spicy.
SLOWEST SERVICE EVER. BEAUTIFUL PLATING. NICE AMBIANCE.
Great food, just not much of it.
Very good Thai food and a little bit out of the ordinary. Purple dumplings especially interesting. Definitely worth a try.
Food was good and so was the service. However, the actual Thai selections were few and listed as super spicy. That being said, I'd give it another try.
When my Brazilian cousin asked to celebrate her B-Day over special Thai food I came across Nuaa. For appetizers we had the purple dumplings (with minced chicken) and spring rolls. Entrees were the whole branzino fish and slow cooked short rib. The presentation of the food was simply amazing. Each dish was not only beautiful but full of distinct and great flavors. Nuaa was a wonderful culinary experience and is definitely a great find. We will visit again soon to taste other dishes.
Drive down from Boston to NY for business dinner meetings every few weeks. We go out of our way just to go here every chance we get. Never disappointed! The food is fantastic and the service is outstanding. I would even be so bold as to say that this is the best Thai food restaurant in NY. Try it once and you'll be hooked.
Wonderful food. The price tag on their page is appropriate but well worth it.
