We had booked a table, albeit last minute, only to be kept waiting for almost 25 minutes before being seated. While staff were trying to be pleasant about it, this was annoying: tables shouldn't be made available if they are not going to be ready. But the food was pretty good - and quite innovative - and the decor was tasteful (though probably dark during the day). It took two tries, however, to get hot coffee - and it still turned out tepid! Smoother service seems to be the missing link here.

Amazing presentation and service of unique Thai menu. Purple blossom dumplings were so original and tasted almost as good as they looked. Wine menu is short but functional. Staff is very kind and made the meal even more special.

Food was good! Service was on point! Waiters were so attentive and smiled the whole time we were there. The best service I've gotten in NYC restaurant recently.

I had dinner here with two business colleagues. Nuaa lives up to the great reviews, and here's another one. The decor is visually elegant and beautiful, and a cut above most Thai restaurants. Service was warm and attentive. The music was soft and not intrusive at all. When you focus on it deliberately you realize that they're playing Motown and other favorites! The food was almost all superb. One of the best Tom Yum soup's I've ever had. Just at the right level of spice and a symphony of flavor. The calamari appetizer was light, crispy outside and tender inside, with a delicious peanut sauce. Noodles with prawns were outstanding. My colleagues also enjoyed their dishes very much. The pasta in the dumplings with chicken appetizer was a little bit gooey for my taste, but on the other hand one of my colleagues pronounced it delicious. The prices are surprisingly low for this quality of food and overall experience. In a neighborhood not generally known for fine cuisine, Nuaa is a stand out.

We've eaten here a few times and have been very pleased with the food. The food is very good and spiced just right. We were not pleased with the service. This has not happened before and will not deter us from coming back but it was not good.

One of the prettiest Thai restaurants I've found in NYC. Authentic Thai preparation including Thai eggplant. The vegetarian options were good and the quality of the ingredients was very fresh. I enjoyed the som tom, mushroom spring roll app and a great green curry.

Food was good and so was the service. However, the actual Thai selections were few and listed as super spicy. That being said, I'd give it another try.

When my Brazilian cousin asked to celebrate her B-Day over special Thai food I came across Nuaa. For appetizers we had the purple dumplings (with minced chicken) and spring rolls. Entrees were the whole branzino fish and slow cooked short rib. The presentation of the food was simply amazing. Each dish was not only beautiful but full of distinct and great flavors. Nuaa was a wonderful culinary experience and is definitely a great find. We will visit again soon to taste other dishes.

Drive down from Boston to NY for business dinner meetings every few weeks. We go out of our way just to go here every chance we get. Never disappointed! The food is fantastic and the service is outstanding. I would even be so bold as to say that this is the best Thai food restaurant in NY. Try it once and you'll be hooked.

So we were excited to find this highly rated Thai place which is right around the corner from where we live. However we were very disappointed. The food was very creatively presented but it doesn't really matter how it is presented when your food is cold. Also my husband wanted to try the Branzino and on the menu it says whole fish. He asked the waiter and he said it was served whole but deboned which wasn't what my husband really wanted but decided to order it anyway. Never once did the waiter say it was served in small bite size pieces. What was whole??? So needless to say we were both disappointed

We spent ten days in New York and discovered this gem on our last night. Every dish was a delight, an explosion of taste, flavours and textures - and all so light , nothing heavy or
stodgy. Best meal of our trip by far, and all five of us, with Rey varying tastes and likes / dislikes would highly recommend Nuaa. Beautiful presentation of the food too.
The decor and ambience felt light also . And check out the lovely ladies Restroom !
10 out of 10 for Nuaa.

The restaurant is as promising as it looks from the outside (and their website). Good authentic thai food, friendly service and a nice ambience. The spicy dishes are in fact spicy, but also very good tasting.
