Lovely spot with wonderful dishes
If you are looking for a holiday brunch buffet, this is not the place to go. Came here on Mother’s Day. Buffet had only had scrambled eggs and French toast. Only side was bacon. No omelettes, no waffles, no pancakes, no sausage. Only non breakfast food was salmon and fried chicken. No carving station. Nothing. Only 1 vegetable choice and a bowl of fruit. Is this was $15.00 then I wouldn’t have an issue but it was very disappointing for the price we paid. Many other places to go for brunch buffet than here.
They put on a great brunch buffet for special events! This was a great treat for mother's day and they went all out. Keep it up!
Went for Mother’s Day brunch. I was not told that it would be a buffet. The quality of the food was about the level of a holiday end. At $32 a person I wish I was giving more options.
Everything was fantastic.
Incredible food. Terrific service. My only drawback was the medium rare Ribeye arrived medium. Before sending it back I tasted it. It was very tender and great flavor. By the time I finished it, the steak was well done... yet still tender. Next time I will send it back.
Our server was spectacular and we will certainly be back soon.
I miss the bassa but I think the overall menu has actually improved. Looking forward to my next visit.
Our meals were absolutely fantastic. The food could not have been any better. We will definitely be back again soon.
Fantastic! Because of other obligations we had to dine right as they opened. I think it would have been weird to be the only people there except the staff especially our waitress, Rhonda, were awesome. Every dish was delicious and cocktails divine. Our favorite place in Indy that reminds us of our favorite place in Chicago. Hard to beat Northside Social.
Our waitress was wonderful. Friendly and fun. Give her a raise (short hair, brownish hair, think she said she just had it cut that way). We were at a table just before the raised dining room.
Never disappoints! Ribs were amazing and literally fell off the bone. The potato salad is the best and the brussel sprouts were yummy. Can't wait for the Mother's Day brunch.
Best calamari in town
Really cool atmosphere! We and another couple chose this spot for a date night based on the recommendation of a foodie friend of ours. We are so glad we did. An incredible variety of amazing entree’s that we all sampled from one another. The menu is southern inspired with rich and unique entree items accentuated by deliciously complimentary sides. The pork belly and white bbq shrimp apps are must haves. We’ll be back soon to try the entrees we didn’t get covered between the 4 of us.
Everything was wonderful! The menu was creative, and it changes seasonally. We can't wait to go back to try more dishes. The service was great! The waitress was informed about the food, and was there whenever we needed her, but she wasn't hovering.
My of my favorites!!
The noise of the large group sitting at the adjacent table detracted slightly from my wife's and my anniversary celebration, but our meal was delicious and our server, Mark, was superb: his friendliness, kindness, helpfulness (excellent recommendations) and attentiveness made our experience very special indeed.
We had a wonderful time. The food and service was great.
Never Disappoints. Had the trout from the new menu. It was amazing and so fresh. Really enjoyed the meal the wait staff was so attentive. Love Shelby.
Love this place that’s low country food with a modern twist. Menu changes seasonally. Great cocktails and the calamari steak fries are delicious for an ap. The potato crusted fish with mashed potato and green beans is a favorite and generous enough to share. Only disappointment was the pie for dessert- crust wasn’t up to my standards. Can be crowded on weekends so make a reservation. Worth it.
We have been here two times now. We got the parmasean crusted chicken pasta and have not been disappointed! This time we added the salmon and it was different, but wonderful. I would order again. Did not have alcohol but the coconut cake was delish!
New menu is absolutely extraordinary! Hard time choosing. Had the ribs and they were out of this world and I don't usually get ribs. Literally fell off the bone and so tender and full of flavor. The brussel sprouts and potato salad were a great compliment. Friends had the boil and said if was full of seafood and my other friend had the friend chicken. She said it was the best chicken she's had. Lots of flavor and wasn't greasy. The new chocolate trifle is wonderful. Perfect ending to a great meal that wasn't overly sweet. Can't wait to go back again.
Always a reliable location for small or large groups. Love the variety on the menu and pretty sure I could eat the pimento mac and cheese everyday!
Pay attention to reservation instructions before you seat your guests. Ordered the coconut cake and it wasn’t as fresh as it normally is...Also Long Island Ice Teas are generally in a high ball glass and not a small glass with a ton of ice for $8
We celebrated my 38th birthday and as always, Northside Social did not disappoint. The four of us had a wonderful meal and delightful service. The pork was probably the best I’ve ever had.
Great service, great food. Enjoyed the ambiance. A local restaurant with a really nice menu.
Great meal; the fish was great. Consistently good!
Great restaurant to participate with a worthwhile cause - the fundraising effort for solar panels for Haiti.
Hostess and server were both super. Server was attentive but not too much so. Decor was bright and upscale while the noise level was just right. The wine on special, a Mendocino Valley Zinfandel, was a great value.
That said, the food came out too quick. The wedge salad dressing was sparse and barely made it through eating the small 'half sphere' wedge. The mushroom risotto was soup like. Collared greens were the focus of the shrimp and grits but overpowered the taste. Shrimp and Grits are a signature dish with not enough grits. At least one dissatisfaction could have been avoided if the server had simply said collared green were an unusual twist and the focus.
Perfect food, eclectic menu, excellent service. We WILL return!
The Northside Social was the perfect location for appetizers and drinks following a busy day at work. Our server, Jean Paul, did an outstanding job taking care of us and making recommendations.
The quality and taste of the food was outstanding! We had a great server and the atmosphere was very festive (Easter). I would like to have seen a bit more variety on the breakfast side of the menu.
Disapointed in the Easter Sunday Brunch. No salad bar or cheese and meats. Eggs Benedict, Lox and Bagels
We were greatly disappointed this year. The food selection was awful. I can’t believe they call this a brunch. We will not be returning!
Excellent service and food. I enjoyed the modern decor and a nice seat by the wall of windows.
Food is always great and the service is outstanding!
Northside Social is a favorite of mine even though I'm torn between missing old favorites on the menu and enjoying new items. The service is consistently good as is my opinion of Northside.
really enjoyed our dinner, waiter, atmosphere; would recommend and also go back
This is a very comfortable place. We were greeted immediately. The server was knowledgeable and personable. The food was excellent! There were three people in our group and each had a different entrée. All three were nicely prepared and delicious. The menu was creative without being weird! The desserts were fantastic. The lighting levels and the music levels were very nice! Quiet enough for quiet, relaxing conversation. We especially appreciated that. A lovely place. We will return.
Too loud inside but great food and strong wine list.
Great ambience and food with a southern/Cajun influence. Get the shrimp and grits, corn bread, and calamari steak fries!
The was our second meal here. Chief special was outstanding! Service was great. We will return.
