I haven't been to North Fork Table in a couple of years. We had friends from Omaha and San Francisco and we wanted to take them someplace special for brunch. We had a wonderful brunch and even the person from CA said it was excellent. We all enjoyed our drinks and the food was perfect for brunch. The wait staff was perfect. I think our friend from CA will want to come back for dinner before he leaves.
Food was good. Service was good. However I had noted in the reservation that it was my husbands birthday and asked for them to put a candle in his dessert. But they didn’t. That was a bit disappointing since this was his special birthday dinner. We come here every year for his birthday and they’ve made it special in the past, but not this year.
Intimate and wonderful dinner as usual at NFT . Everything prepared perfectly and the desserts are artistic gems delivered with love! Absolutely perfect in every way! Thanks Mike, Mary and Claudia... you are THE BEST!!!
Just the two of us on our wedding anniversary.
We sat at the bar, which we prefer, because the lighting is better, and it’s less formal than the dr.
Wonderful all around.
Two free glasses upon arrival were served up without asking since I’d indicated “anniversary”, on the reservation.
Great friendly smart charming knowlegeable bar tender took excellent care of us.
Food is always superb!
Warm and welcoming staff.
Lovely soohisticated yet not stuffy wine and cocktails.
A favorite place for us.
I went to the North Fork Table a year ago and absolutely loved it. I went again this past weekend and, meh. My partner and I did the tasting menu--which I usually love to do!--but I was underwhelmed. No course was particularly bad, but none was particularly exceptional. My biggest issue, though, was that although the flavors throughout the meal were interesting, the textures were not. They were all one-note, and that note was gelatinous. There was really nothing to sink your teeth into and at the end of the meal it was rather unsatisfying. There was also a wine pairing (the sherry with the fois gras) that made the otherwise delicious fois gras inedible. Think drinking OJ after brushing your teeth. I got around it by drinking water after each fois gras bite, but that seems a ridiculous thing to have to do when dropping money on a pairing menu. Our server and the host were both incredibly gracious, and the restaurant itself is a lovely place.
The wonderful food is matched by the excellent service. Mike helped us with appropriate wines for appetizer, entree and desert. No misses!! We've been coming here for 12 years and have never been disappointed.
It's nice to find a restaurant with staff trained to give perfect service.
The menu choices are great and the food is excellent
Spectacular tasting menu with excellent service from Ashley. Each course was presented beautifully and there is a selection of mixed non-alcoholic drinks for those who don't partake which is much appreciated. I couldn't ask more of a dining experience. Truly excellent.
North Fork Table is exceptional in providing an excellent dining experience! I have several food allergies and a gluten intolerance. In spite of those limitations, I was able to thoroughly enjoy the Indian-themed, 4-course dinner chef, Stephen Bogardus, prepared, and it was a taste sensation like no other! They also had several non-alcoholic pairings with each course since I’m allergic to alcohol and couldn’t drink the different wines. Make sure you make a reservation soon—it’s so worth it!
Our 1st time here so we decided to order the chefs tasting menu which you can pair w/ wine. We called ahead to ask if they’re okay with us bringing our own and if they have a corking fee. More than kindly they said they have a $35 cf and certainly can bring own wine. We did. But also had a glass off the menu.
The tasting menu was very nice. The outstanding items were the foie gras w/ tuna, duck, asparagus soup with Smokey crab and the the desserts. Especially the goat cheese soufflé ( omg amazing) the ambiance is lovely and warm. The servers and service was a 12 on a scale of 10.
We will return. Happy we did the tasting as it was a great way to get to know a restaurant...wouldn’t do it again though.
My favorite restaurant by far. Love the casual elegance. The service is the best. The food and cocktails are always spectacular. Literally loved every bite of my meal!
Disappointing service. Disappointing food. Way over salted. Menu not great and not well explained.
The best restaurant on the North Fork and maybe all of Long Island
Always a treat amazing inventive food delicious cocktails beautiful serene setting and warm never pretentious service. Best of the North Forth and well worth the trip.
Relaxed and delicious was my first experience here.
I will be back
They held our table for over an hour as we were delayed on the Jitney. The staff couldn't have been more understanding and efficiently brought food out without making us feel rushed. Everything off the restaurant week menu was delicious with options for everyone. Loved the risotto and pork terrine.
Thank you NFT!
North Fork Table is always amazing, excellent service paired with creative dishes and friendly hospitality. We love it!
It was our first time dining at North Fork Table and Inn and we were very pleased with the experience. The skate and fish stew was delicious. We highly recommend the restaurant.

A little tight on the bread...asked for some twice...it never came.
Melissa, our waitress was excellent. ( we did not ask her for more bread...should have). Wife loved the Skate...”Very delicious”.
The Beets appetizer was excellent. The spicy soup was good...would have liked some bread with it😉.
The pork tenderloin was ok. Broccoli Was excellent.
Desserts... the Rhubarb Shortcake was good...could have used a little more Rhubarb...
The chocolate mousse was excellent.
All in all a wonderful dining experience. Staff goes the extra yard.
We were somewhat disappointed in the limited selection for restaurant week.
NFT is still the best restaurant on the East End of Long Island. The staff is well trained and gracious, the food superb, and the deserts are excellent. I had the rhubarb shortcake again. I think I would request it for my last meal, ensuring that I die happy. I have been dining here for close to 10 years and have never been disappointed.
Everything about our dining experience was divine - the original greeting, the decor, the service and the sublime cuisine. Thank you for a delightful dinner.
We are never disappointed with this extraordinary restaurant. The food is always delicious and creatively prepared. It is always worth a visit.
We all 4 enjoyed our meal at North Fork Table very much. The food was wonderful! The Foie Gras with tuna was delicious! The lamb was fabulous as was the duck! The cod was nice but more salty than I thought it would or should be. Don’t leave without having dessert. The carrot cake was delicious! Service was excellent as well.
Went there for a great meal and were not disappointed. Excellent meals and presentation, worth a trip back.
Pricey but very special place. Creative cuisine made with the finest local ingredients. Lovely servers and a beautiful room that’s quiet and serene. If you’re looking for a special North Fork experience, this is the place. The duck was superb!
Always wonderful. Great food, good service, lovely ambiance. Not a 5 Star because it is so expensive and most can not afford to eat here.
Wow. Just wow.
So, NFT&I has made some subtle changes to the entire experience and they nailed them all.
Bar and Dining room renovations refine the sophisticated ambience - bar area is now a little more warm and cozy, while the drinks and bartenders continue to perfectly compliment the restaurant.
Chef Stephan Bogardus apparently spent some time this winter at the French Laundry and traveling the world and was inspired to make a few changes to the menu while not disturbing his classic dishes. Razor clams with coconut and blood orange with cardamom sounded like an odd combination but were ridiculous (reminded me of dishes at the old Wylie Dufresne joint wd~50 on the LES). Old favorite ricotta cavatelli has been taken to another level with the addition of duck confit. Kitchen simply crushed it.
Mike Mraz at the front of house continues to be the perfect host while the amazing Emma in the dining room made our evening perfect - refusing to let us leave before tasting Claudia’s incredible rhubarb Napoleon.
Quaint, beautiful place. Excellent service. Exquisitely prepared dishes and desserts. Tuna tartare and duck confit pasta were our favorites (and the chocolate soufflé, of course). The wine pairing with the prix fixe excellent value and quality.
We usually have our birthday dinners at North Fork Table. The service is excellent and they meet our every need. The food is divine - our only request - more vegetables with the entree. Dessert is spectacular! We live on the South Fork - so it is a very special treat to take the ferries over, drive to Southold and sit down to the best meal on the East End.
The North Fork Table never disappoints. Help is gracious, ambience is wonderful and the food is always delicious and carefully prepared.
Great food , beautiful atmosphere, sincere staff. The only issue I had was cheese plate appetizer. 4 of us went for brunch and bill was over $450 - which I expected. I have been there several times before. The issue I had was we ordered a cheese platter to share before meal came. We needed surgical instruments to cut it up as it was so small. The restaurant knew we were plunking down a small investment for this meal and could have not been so stingy with the appetizer. I think they tried to make it up later by offering an extra dessert? I didn’t want that (didn’t eat any dessert as I don’t eat sugar and they accommodated me with fresh blood orange cut up beautifully). I will return as it’s a family favorite and we go about twice a year but the cheese platter was a disappointment.
Although our waiter wasn’t the best we’ve had the food was amazing as usual. Not a thing I would change about the food and wine!
A total fining dining gem. My husband & I eat out quite a bit & sometimes all menus seem the same. Chef Stephan uses seasonal ingredients & creates special dishes that are delightfully surprising and delicious. Very special place. And Pastry Chef Claudia Fleming - her renowned desserts - delicate flavors that causes one to swoon with joy.
With one exception, North Fork Table was up to it's usual excellent standards. My grass fed strip steak was excellent and about as good as any grass fed beef I've ever eaten. The fish stew, however, was nowhere that standard as it had a strong unpleasant odor and the quality of the seafood was mediocre and the quantity lacking. Otherwise, we'll be returning.
This was our first time at this lovely Inn and restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we knew this was going to be a memorable dining experience.
Decor/atmosphere is wonderful. The 4 of us all enjoyed our brunch selections. There was a wait (despite numerous empty tables). We had made a reservation. Although the wait was inexplicable, it was only about 10 minutes. Waitstaff was nice and professional.
Absolutely Amanda and service and spectacular food
North Fork Table is my favorite on the island! Such fresh, deep flavored foods , great drinks, beautiful rooms and personal service.
