The North End at 4580 (fka Restaurant 4580)
North Boulder's premier restaurant and bar. The North End at 4580 is a contemporary American bistro focusing on the freshest ingredients, with simple preparations executed flawlessly. Interesting & rotating hand crafted cocktails complement a notable wine list & local craft beer selection- all at a fair price at the base of the Boulder, Colorado foothills. Known for it's great food and it's equally great service while catering to food allergies, especially gluten and dairy sensitivities, are one way that we strive to make our customers happy. The North End is perfect for any special occasion or for the everyday dinner with family and friends. From burgers to grilled calamari to duck confit, the North End at 4580 is sure to please.
Great food and service. Grilled calamari with pepperoncini was excellent. Bison short ribs tender and flavorful. Staff friendly and informed. One of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in several years.
As usual, wonderful wine selection. It was a nice evening for a relaxing dinner on the patio.
Great little restaurant, stellar cuisine, not crowded.
We sat on the patio and enjoyed the lovely atmosphere and the puppies. Their salmon is the best in town, lobster Mac was delicious as usual and the short ribs were amazing. We love this place. Kudos to the owner, chef and staff for keeping the experience top shelf over the years.
The calamari was well flavored and creative. The duck and beef were our favorites as well as the peach cobbler for dessert
This was disappointing - both the food and the service were mediocre. Was embarrassed to have taken an out-of-town friend and we do not plan on going back. We had three different dishes (two people ordered the same thing) and none was better than ok. We have really enjoyed the bacon-wrapped dates (appetizer) in the past, and they weren't even very good!
Seated right away, even though they were busy. Did Tapas for main course, the cauliflower wings with Korean bbq were excellent. Also had the duck leg confit. Flavor was good, duck pulled off the bone nicely, however, it came served over the top of homemade salt and vinegar chips in a bowl. Made eating the dish difficult and to share almost impossible.
Would go back next time I’m in north Boulder!
Delicious. We will be going back very soon. Lots of gluten free options.
Appreciated the limited and well-curated menu. Every dish had an interesting twist - especially the small plates.
Every dish that we have tried at 4580 is excellent! The staff members are professional and friendly. 4580 is one of our favorite restaurants in Boulder.
Our waitress was fabulous. The food divine.
Wonderful food, fabulous service, and accommodating staff. They made our dinner out as a staff of ten teachers in Boulder extra special! Philip our server and James the manager were awesome.
Excellent thoughtful attentive staff and exquisite food and drink from the moment of arrival to the moment of departure.
What a rare atmosphere that manages to offer the highest quality on many fronts, while being utterly without snobbery, allowing all our guests from many different backgrounds and preferences to be completely relaxed.
We all felt cared-for and happy, delighted with every dish we ordered and every drink we enjoyed.
The offerings were fresh , beautifully made and served, and yet the experience was relaxed and easy, so we could focus on our guests rather than any theater of dining or chef's ego.
It was perfect and in my fantasy life I would go there weekly and invite friends along.
Absolutely YES I would recommend this place. We were in town for IronMan boulder. We were happy to see that this restaurant's selection of food was not only creative but also willing to make concessions for my stupid stomach. Anything I couldn't have, they found another way. Service, the food and the environment was great for two out on a date. Enjoy
Awesome food, and awesome service! I will absolutely go back again soon.
There were 6 of us that haven’t been here since their opening. We were pleasantly surprised! Service was very good and the food was great. We will be back.
Loved it. Great food and service as usual!
We had a waitress with a majorly bad attitude. It really made for a not-so -great experience. Management needs to have a word or two with her. Prices seem to have increased since they closed for updating. The risotto was not nearly as good as in the past. Those in the group who got a hamburger says it was very good.
The service was extremely slow. It was an hour between when we ordered and when we got our food. The restaurant was not busy, yet they were out of several dishes, which limited our choices. Three of us ordered risotto, which was tasty enough, but the portions were tiny! We heard the waitress say to the next table that ordered that they were out of risotto, so maybe they gave us small portions to stretch it between the three of us? Anyway, we left hungry. My husband and son got the duck, which was super chewy, and again a small portion for the price. We really wanted to like this place since it's in our neighborhood, but I have to say we will not be going back.
We took our moms to the North End at 4580 for Mother's Day Brunch and our experience was wonderful. We made reservations and were promptly seated when we arrived. At first they tried to cram 5 of us at a table for 4, but when we asked if we could drag a small two-top over, they accommodated our request which made our meal much more comfortable. The waitstaff was very attentive. Our water glasses were always refilled without having to ask. The craft cocktails were excellent, and the food was delicious! My son and I had the pork green chili Benedict and it was great. My husband and his mom had the doughnut French toast, which was rich and decadent. My mom had the grilled cheese and tomato soup, and she thoroughly enjoyed both. We also splurged on dessert which was fantastic as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to family and friends.
Despite a very busy night, service and food were excellent.
Always a satisfying experience at 4580. Simply the best burger in town.
Sunday Easter brunch. Lobster and crawfish etoufee was a hit with me! Great service. Friendly.
Restaurant was not busy, but service was slow and uneven.
Our first experience at this gem and it was fantastic! Perfect place for a double date as it was not terribly noisy and our server, Grayson, was welcoming and just the right amount of attentive. My food was delicious and by the looks of everyone else's plates, theirs was, too! Nice ample portions and perfectly cooked salmon. Definitely going to go back!
Family get together for birthdays. Very curt and cold service and we made a notation we were celebrating birthdays that the waitress nor anyone else acknowledged. I did see a different waitress celebrating with another party. Felt super bad as my kids were footing the bill and tipped generously, even though the waitress was pretty awful. Food was average., and I would not recommend this restaurant given other options in the area.
Just a fantastic meal! Delicious. We enjoyed the special so much that I wish it was on the menu all of the time! I highly recommend this place for great vegetarian food.
This is my go to neighborhood (n boulder) restaurant and at least as good as downtown. There is a friendly louder and lively bistro bar area and a much quieter area in the back. Also some outside table make for a very pleasant milder weather dining.
The service was excellent, as was the food. The noise level also was very tolerable. My one criticism was the choice of rock as the background music. It added to the background noise and didn't fit with the overall ambiance.
This place is amazing. The food is consistently delicious. The owner and staff are super nice and attentive. My only complaint would be the cost as it’s a bit expensive yet I understand that I’m paying for quality food. The expense is the only reason I can’t eat there as often as I like. Happy hour is a cheaper way to enjoy their goods.
Excellent & innovative cocktails & menu. Staff very helpful & courteous.
We very much enjoyed the Gruyere burger. The new duck sausage plate was excellent.
Enjoyed the redo of the restaurant and menu. Had the stuffed mushrooms which were well done with a tasty dipping sauce. We had the filet with ravioli and the beef which were all well prepared, hot and enjoyed
One of the best meals we've enjoyed, from start to finish.
Went for Valentine's Day. The steak was great, the room, maybe a little tight and too bright. Resolved to come back and sit at the bar, in spite of the TVs.
The North End never disappoints. My wife and I love having such a neighborhood gem so close to us and visit often. On a Valentine's Day, when every restaurant is crowded and busy, we felt unrushed, not at all like sardines, and the food was still delicious. Compliments to James and the whole team for making the night memorable for us.
Nice ambience, good food, excellent service...we will return again.
Perfect Valentine date
Love this restaurant. The food, drinks, service and ambiance are outstanding. It is a consistent winner.
We had good drinks and a wonderful salad. The duck small plate was OK but not terrific. I really like the big curtain that helps keep bar noise out of the dining room. Good lighting, too.
