We usually come to the Nook for brunch or lunch but dinner was just a fabulous! The clams were awesome and we will order them again. Also enjoyed the soup and pasta - overall a winner!

Listen. The Nook is possibly the best restaurant in Honolulu. Their service and menus (drinks, food, and dessert) were excellent - flawless. The food was sooo good. It was three of us, so we tasted one another's pupus, entrees, drinks, and desserts, and everything was delicious - everything. We had a fantastic time celebrating a business achievement on a Friday evening. Noise level is perfect for good conversation and laughter from yourselves and from others. Just an excellent dining experience from beginning to end. Thank you.

A great spot that is too easily missed. Perfect for after a concert or movie with great food and very friendly service. The Nook's menu offers plenty of options -- we've tried the lamb bolognaise, swordfish with pasta, hamburger, kabocha ravioli, salads ---all with great tastes. We can't figure out how this tiny place can succeed with every dish on their menu. But they do. Wine list is simple but good and good value and the cocktail menu looks great. Don't pass this gem up just because it is tucked away in an unattractive shopping plaza.

Service was excellent - wait staff was friendly and attentive...they even offered an umbrella to take us to our car in the rain. Food choices are creative (loved the Ostrich burger). Parking a little hum-bug but well worth the effort.

I’ve been to the nook for brunch before but this was my first time for dinner. It was amazing! one of my top 5 food experiences on Oahu. We had the sweet potato gnocchi and lamb Bolognese. For dessert we ate the lilikoi cannoli which was light and refreshing. It’s a little pricey but you totally get what you pay for with amazing food and locally sourced produce.

Love this place. First discovered it for a late brunch on Sunday and have been back every other week since. The beer, wine, and cocktail menu alone is worth the trip. You can tell that the chefs take great pride in the presentation of their dishes. They are so creative with the combination of ingredients they use in their meals its hard to not try something new everytime despite how amazing your previous experience was. Will be back for more.

Wonderful family meal. We were so impressed with the quality of our food and service. The gnocchi and clams were savory and well-seasoned (my 9-year-old begged for a second helping of the clams). The pasta had the most wonderful texture and flavor. Our server was attentive and friendly, and the ambience is homey and comfortable. Our family will definitely be back.

The food at The Nook is some of the most delicious in all of Honolulu, and not pretentious at all. However, the service is awkward and lacking. I ordered a drink when we sat down (we were the first party seated when they opened), and I didn't get my drink until halfway through my entree, almost 40 minutes later. I'll just get takeout from now on and drink at home, because the food IS really good. Highly recommend the ostrich burger, lamb ragu, and polenta fries.

Everything was a pleasure. Our waitress was 100%. The oyster appetizer is always my favorite. I wish they gave us more bread to soak up all the flavor in the soup. Duck was super tender and nice pairing with the sweet potato mash. I ordered the pork belly. The flavors were perfect with the fried kale and apple. The meat was a little dry, next time I will remember to ask for it to be cooked a little less. Over all, we had a really nice dinner.

I was really upset about my dinner experience here. I ordered the duck (I've ordered this entrée in the past) and it arrived completely cold. Not lukewarm; we're talking cold. When I told my server, she took it back. Instead of bringing me a new meal, they just re-heated the dish. The duck was completely dry and the potatoes lost off of its moisture. For compensation, the server brought me an extra glass of wine, but I didn't want another glass of wine (and I didn't drink it). I came out for a good meal. I don't go out to eat to be served cold food that is then re-heated. Very disappointing.

It was the perfect GNO birthday celebration. The food and service was great! It was as delicious as the last time I dined here. They even allowed us to bring in our own birthday cake, cut it up and served it too. That of course didn’t stop us from ordering the chocolate mocha churro.

As tourists, we desperately needed a break from lowest-common-denominator Waikiki dining. The Nook scored with a fun ambience, interesting food choices, and good service to boot. It’s the sort of place we would go when not on vacation. Highly recommended.

One of our favorite restaurants in the world, The Nook is always worth a stop if you are in Hawaii. The intimate restaurant is a great find away from the hustle-and-bustle of Waikiki. From the bar, the drinks are unique and hand-crafted. From the menu, you'll always find local ingredients with a creative twist. The Nook is an excellent neighbor restaurant with a Hawaiian twist.

I love cute mom and pop places. It's super charming, chill cool vibe. I've had breakfast many times, loved all the dishes and specials. This is the first time for dinner. My cute waiter, was adorable., Friendly, service on point. The dinner was served a little slow, so good thing my date was entertaining and good looking. The kitchen was hustling their burgers and got backed up. Next time I'm trying the ostrich burger. My pork belly was very good. Ok, good. I'm trying the ostrich burger next time.
The chocolate churo for desert was bomb. I don't even like chocolate. I think I'll try that again. I love the quality of flavors and ingredients in the dishes , and ambiance of cool mom and place. ( anti chain restaurants) so yep 👍 2 thumbs up.

We have had dinner at the Nook 2 times(we are from out of State) and both dinners were fabulous. We have had different items on the menu - burger, fish, short ribs, dessert etc and everything was delicious. Also, the craft beer from the Beer Lab, the cocktails and the dessert are not to be missed. The staff go out of their way regardless of how busy they are to have interesting conversations with the diners. Wish we could transplant the Nook into our community at home.

We started off with clams where were very tasty but a little too salty. We then had a shrimp dish and lamb moussaka. The shrimp was OK the moussaka was so salty I couldn’t taste anything else but salt. The lamb might as well have been beef or pork I couldn’t taste it at all. There was very little meat and very little eggplant, it was mostly pasta which doesn’t even belong in moussaka. It was more of a lasagna than moussaka. I also had a mixed drink which was tasty but very small pour for the price. I am not one that usually minds a little extra cost for a good experience but that wasn’t the case which is the only reason I mention the cost. I have eaten here for brunch often and usually love the food but the chef this evening was going nuts with the salt and the moussaka wasn’t the right name for the dish. Not sure I will ever go back for dinner again.

We had a delightful family dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday. When we first sat down, I was a bit concerned they wouldn't keep my 6 year old happy with their cuisine, but we ordered the orange green tea jidori chicken (with no chiles) and some rice. She ate happily. My husband, my son, and I all ate our delicious meals, too. My husband and I both enjoyed a hand crafted soda/cocktail along side the tasty food. We had the mini cannoli for dessert and they were perfect. Thanks for a lovely evening and great meal.

Our AirBnB hosts recommended this and we’ve already made reservations for our second meal. Burrata special was enough to share and house made linguine was terrific. They were donating some of the proceeds from this special Puerto Rican dish to hurricane relief, but I’d order it any day regardless. Wine prices reasonable and folks at the next table loved their cocktails.

All entrees were great - Marscapone risotto, beets and chevre linguini, beef burger, sweet potato gnocchi, pasta special. Ordered a salad which can be shared - not an individual portion size, so order and share. Love that it is small and cozy and in our neighborhood. Also love that they have local beer from BeerLab. Kirsten, our server, was so delightful! She was upbeat, attentive, caring and funny. She made our meal very enjoyable! Good luck with your studies, Kirsten! We'd love to come back again.

Second time we have eaten at the Nook. Love the gnocchi and burger (our 2 favorite dishes we tried), and also great salads. Every dish we had was really creative and fresh, and had great flavors. Our least favorite was the linguine dish.
The staff, and especially the hostesses, are very friendly and helpful.
This is becoming one of our top "date night" places. It is a really nice place and great good, and our only "complaint" is the high wine prices that turn what could be an affordable date night into a pretty pricey dinner. Would love to see more value choices. But they have a good beer selection, so that, or the non-alcoholic drinks, could be an alternative to keep it affordable.
