Food was great as always but service was very slow and lacking. Gracious when present but pretty absent during our meal. Very long wait time between courses and our server would come by and apologize on his own but that was about it. Seems like things have slipped a bit.

From the exterior (which is beautiful) you would. It know this cozy opulent restaurant was inside. We arrived an hour early for our reservation and we're quickly accommodated. The chef, dining room manager and pastry chef also serve the 11 Park Avenue restaurant which holds 3 Michelin stars, so you can expect exquisite dishes and impeccable service at The Nomad. We ate dinner at The Rainbow room before coming here and it far surpassed our expectations. Highly recommend.

Let me begin by saying the 3000 miles I travelled to dine and drink at The NoMad Hotel and Bar were 100% worth it! The NoMad Bar was ranked #3 best bar in the world recently and it’s so simple to see why - the drinks are, at the risk of sounding underwhelming, pure perfection. The concoctions are original, syrups made in house with creative ingredients, flavor profiles are handled will across both shaken and stirred categories and the balance across the flavors in the final drink are unparalleled. You simply must try anything on the cocktail menu. I had reservations in the NoMad Restaurant but instead opted to dine in the Library, a room typically reserved for hotel guests. I ordered the Carrot Tartare, which was incredible. The flavors are bright and playful with just the right level of heat. I followed it up with the Chicken Sandwich. Let me tell you, that sandwich is life altering. It is perfectly cooked, soft and juicy all the way through. The four gras lends a lovely richness and the herbs keep the entire dish light but savory. (The fact that the sandwich is served on brioche doesn’t hurt either!)

All of that said, for the price point and the status attached to the name, the service was incredibly sub-par. The hostess seated us without any facial expression and did not deliver us napkins or silverware until well after our appetizer was dropped. We needed to request them as she was busy happily attending to the table next to us who were seated after us. She would not take our drink order nor did she check with us about our dishes. The rest of the staff were similar - cold and uncaring. For a fine dining restaurant I had much higher service expectations. We left the Library and moved to the Bar but he service didn’t change.

So I would absolutely recommend going but know no matter where you are served, Bar, Library or likely Restaurant, the service will likely be less attentive than you expect for the price unless you’re lucky enough to be waited on by KJ.

For a Michelin Star restaurant, our entire party was surprised at the temperature of our food. Each main course was lukewarm, at best. Flavors were good, as were the cocktails and appetizers, but every one our main courses was painful. Had we not needed to be somewhere else after our brunch, we’d have sent every main dish back.

I was at the NoMad for the first time for a Tuesday night dinner; I would highly recommend and will certainly be returning. The atmosphere is very cozy and lux - lots of beautiful wood and rich colors - almost an art deco feel to it. The service is outstanding and the food and drink are amazing. DO NOT miss out on the whole-roasted chicken with foie gras & black truffle - the presentation is as beautiful as it is delicious.

Lieber Herr Humm

Herzlichst, Gabriella Theilacker

Nomad is pricey but I have to say the food and service was excellent. My wife had the duck and I had the lobster and both were delicious. Every member of the staff from the front door man, hostess, sommelier to our waitress were welcoming, genuine and unpretentious. They all seemed to be very proud to be working there and concerned that we had a good experience. I would go back - great for a special occasion. My only complaint is that the restaurant itself was a bit dark but it is warm and inviting.

Everyone in the food world knows about the chicken, but the hype is true! It is an amazing dish. One feels silly spending >$40/person for a chicken, but deal with it. The rosemary bread that is brought to the table could easily be used as an appetizer.

Though the food was very good, the portions were surprising very small even by the usual NYC restaurant standards. Also our drinks took much longer than usual to arrive and as such we drank less.

Outstanding food prepared nearly perfectly. The chicken was out of this world! Though it will cost you for the experience, it is one you should have. The only down side- the very popular bar and hotel only guest lounge, The Library, are only accessible by walking through the formal dining room so everyone is weaving through the tables while you're dining.

Reserved a table for 5 right at opening (12pm) and were promptly and courteously seated.
Ordered appetizers and main dishes and after about 20 minutes received the mains. Advised the dining room manager that we had not received our appetizers and she apologized and offered to take the dishes back and to bring out the missing appetizers. We opted to eat what we had and to have the other dishes afterward.
In the end the management apologized again and also comped the appetizers, dessert and coffee; which showed a great of professionalism.

About the food ... the appetizers were very tasty, the cod and tuna salad were fantastic and the chicken burger ok ... good but not as great as some reviews state.
The lemon and pumpkin tarts were very good as well.

This was not the first time we dined at the NoMad and it won’t be the last as it is a top restaurant which offers an overall great experience.

Over priced. The pasta dish was under cooked and still raw inside. We like al denote pasta but they were raw. We sent it back and waited another 15 minutes since they said the pasta are fresh and hand rolled. The second dish was so salty that we just ate a few pasta. The ox tail was just way too salty! Terrible!

The room with the bar is very vibrant, while the back room is just a bunch of tables. Our waitress barely checked on us and never asked if we wanted another drink or anything else. They knew it was my birthday and made no effort to do a thing. Mimosa was flat, probably because it was served in a white wine glass instead of a champagne glass and was very uninspired.
. Biggest (or smallest) problem was the tuna salad which for is 36 or 7 dollars should be enough for lunch but instead comes with frisee and four 1 inch cubes of tuna and a little confit. Fills barely half a plate, a total joke. Bread is extra. Requested a croissant and then had to request butter and jam. The place is a fortune and no one cares to know how to wait on people. (Exception was the lowly water girl) Hope they all get starring roles soon.
