   A very awesome night. Food was tremendous from start to finish. Service was spot on almost to the point of too attentive...........will go back as soon as were back in NYC

   Very good food, good ambience and good service. Moderately expensive. One of the unusual restaurants where it is possible to have high class food in very casual dress (including shorts). Blowfish fritters appetizer and the Sucking Pig Entree were specially good as also the milk & honey dessert. Minor negative : Very few half- bottle options in the wine list

   Took my sister to dinner who was visiting from SF. I thought the food was fine. Compared to other restaurants in New York, I thought the portions were small and the value wasn’t there.

   I'm not sure what is going on with this restaurant. I have been to Eleven Madison Park and it was beyond excellent. I have also been to French Laundry and Bouchon (the bistro version of the Thomas Keller empire). I believed that Nomad would be like Bouchon but the Nomad's food was mediocre. The shredded snow pea salad was boring and dull. The famous roast chicken was strange. The texture of the bird was perfect but they served us the wing in a nugget (what?), the thigh meat in a bland chicken salad type sauce, and the breast was very salty. The service was excellent, the room amazing BUT the music made no sense (the Ramones?) and the food was terrible. With so many great NYC restaurants to choose one - I regret choosing this one.

    Great food experience, however our wait staff were very unfriendly and almost socially odd. No smiles, they didn’t offer or seem to know it was our anniversary and when I asked if the restaurant does anything for anniversaries, he replied, “like what? What do you want?” Strange answer. He then said he could give us a scoop of ice cream and walked away. He returned 10-15 minutes later with their mills and honey dessert that was delicious! Just strange and unfriendly staff. Food wise, we loved the asparagus hummus, the duck and halibut! Highly recommend the food. It is very pricey.
