What Insiders Are Saying
Is the Nomad still a big deal? It depends on how you do it.
Beautiful place, friendly and professional service.
Food was outstanding!
I love everything about dining with the Nomad -
Everything from start to finish was wonderful! The service exceeded all expectations and the food ... especially the CHICKEN was to die for! :)
Will definitely be going again!
Lads were on tour. Food is great but it’s really expensive.
Mostly fantastic but I will say, the meal was super salty/rich. The chicken was special but again, crazy rich. I enjoyed it but didn’t feel great afterwards.
fantastic!! wine and food were perfect. very romantic. amazing for a date!
The NoMad did not disappoint. The food was delicious but still accessible and interesting. Emma went above and beyond whilst serving us, even writing down recommendations for breakfast the following morning. It was a wonderful experience.
We loved The NoMad. The space is visually arresting and yet very comfortable and comforting. The food was outstanding. Each of our orders had its own unusual and thoughtful presentation and was truly delicious. Lovely!
Food was terrific especially the SunChokes.
Service was spotty with many different servers and lack of timeliness.
Hotel room- beautiful and clean. Spacious 1br with circular windows. Dining was below average, with food subpar. The service was good and understanding of our dissatisfaction with the food. Roasted chicken for two was disappointing and the cocktails were confusing. Ordered the coq tail which came in an overwhelmingly large metal rooster with two straws. It was very uncomfortable drinking out of and the drink was not even good. Very disappointing dining experience but the management was understanding and did not charge us for the chicken. The Library lounge/bar was fun!
The decor of the restaurant is simply beautiful. Everything from the chairs to the plates to the ceiling contributed to the upscale ambiance. The food was delicious and nicely plated. I highly recommend the milk and honey desserts. Overall a great experience and a pretty good value for your money as far as lunch goes.
Excellent service, interesting menu, reasonably sized portions (to too large), definitely a place to come back to. The decor is over the top, but they've pulled it off and it works.
This was the worst restaurant experience I have had in a long time. After being seated for breakfast at 9:45 a.m., we ordered and were given coffee after about 10 minutes, then received no service whatsoever for 45 minutes...no water, no coffee, no food...I grabbed a waiter to complain and after about 10 minutes our very expensive breakfasts arrived, mine a perfectly ok $22 omelet with cold toast and no butter...no one offered to refill our coffee...it was impossible to enjoy the absurdly overpriced food after being treated with such disdain.
All of this was brought into sharp focus when our party of 3 had a great lunch a few hours later at Xian Famous Foods which cost a total of $25.
Food is great, portions are small (in the bar). Service was excellent!! Top notch!!
I tried their pretzel which was good but not an traditional pretzel. Had more of a bread like inside rather than a more chewy inside that I like. I also prefer dipping cheese rather than a shaved Parmesan type cheese.
Great cocktails 🍸!
Great every time!
Great place! Duck at lunch was just okay. I recommend the chicken truffle burger and the cobb salad, which were superb!
Loved the whole experience. Service, Food and atmosphere were all great.
Food was delicious, ambience fun, enjoyed the experience!
Always love the chicken
Gourmet. Flavors and textures that have been meticulously refined made for an excellent evening. Our sommelier was knowledgeable, our waiter was fast, and our check wasn’t too high. We left buzzed, full, and immensely satisfied.
They are known for their chicken, and in that respect they don’t disappoint. The chicken dish is delicious, but it is a $95 chicken dish. I would recommend this place for the chicken alone. The other stuff on the menu..seems a bit overpriced for what you get.
On 12/27/18, I took my boyfriend there because he was in town for the holidays. Horrible decision. Our waiter, Rob left us waiting for almost 30 minutes, never bothered to check on us, not even to ask if we wanted more water or another drink. Meanwhile, he was very friendly to the guests at nearby tables. He also did not give an update on our food until I asked. Perhaps he sensed that we were unhappy and were ready to leave after we have completed our meal when he asked if we wanted dessert. Because our experience was ruined by the low quality service, we told him no. He insisted that we stayed and offered complementary dessert for the long wait. When the bill came out, he charged us for the dessert. After we brought it to his attention, he assured us that it was on the house and said he would take it off the bill, but he still charged us in the end. The dessert was only $17, but the fact that he lied, on top of the crappy service was a huge turnoff. I have heard great things about the restaurant, and have visited in the past, but after this recent experience, I highly doubt that I will go there again.
Couldn’t fault The NoMad. Quality service, knowledgeable and friendly staff, exquisite food (get the froie gras!). Beautiful decor too!
Food and service were terrific. Seating was slightly too crowded. Some menus were overpriced.
Absolutely amazing! Best roast chicken I’ve ever had. The tart, scallops, chicken, milk and honey were all superb. Service exceptional.
Wonderful experience for Christmas Eve dinner
Christmas night with my family
We ordered their signature chicken for two! It was amazing and I highly recommend it.
Christmas Eve lunch
Beautiful food, ambiance, and experience... would highly recommend.
Holiday dinner with my daughter. The roast chicken was fantastic
Dining experience was amazing on all fronts can’t wait to back . Best chicken I have ever had with four gras and prepared three ways yum!!!
I have been here for dinners and brunches
The food is amazing. The vibe is always inviting.
The service during weekend brunch can be improved- a few times I felt like we have to wait long periods before getting someone’s attention and this is when it’s 40% - 60%full, not even bursting at the seems like at dinner time.
The pastries are a must have.
Impeccable service, a beautiful room, terrific cocktails, and some of the most addictive fries in NYC (the rest of our meal was fabulous as well). We don't get there enough, but when we do it's always a wonderful time.
Good food and service great bar.
Absolutely hands down best meal ever! Roast chicken for two was out of this world!!!! Alfred was incredible and so knowledgeable. Can’t wait to go back for our anniversary!
Beautiful atmosphere. Had a Cobb salad which was a very modern take on the item. It was ok, not amazing.
Just does not get any better...perfect in every way...especially when they have white truffles with the best risotto I have ever had.
very disappointing brunch
22$ eggs with toast ? nothing special
good selections of teas
An absolutely amazing dining experience
