Loved by fashion icons and tastemakers alike, The NICE GUY is a great place to start your night with an elegant bite or take it to the next level with live music.
Great service. Great food and great ambiance and music.
I like this place, good room, nice place. Just not very much food. Flank steak about 50% of what it should have been. Got there hungry, left hungry. Other than that, fine. I'll be back, I'm sure.
Wonderful food and ambiance, tables are little too small and extremely dark. But the food was absolutely amazing!
We loved the live music
When I arrived at the nice guy for my reservation, they informed me the restaurant had been closed for a private party and they were not honoring my reservation. It was my birthday, and I got turned away on the sidewalk and had to find somewhere else to eat last minute with my group of people. Poor form.
Waited two hours for a table then basically after we have waited they basically told us we are welcome to eat at the bar. So then we left.
We visited The Nice Guy especially from the UK for a special occasion. The restaurant was nice but unfortunately the service was very hostile. I guess that’s LA!
The food was not good, the lobster pizza was so spicy and hot, we couldn’t finish it.
The place was so dark that we couldn’t see the menu.
Not worth the hype.
Very nice place!
The atmosphere is awesome, you feel like the goodfhater’s movie
The pasta was incredible. Extremely intimate setting. Pretty perfect for a date!
Tom’s of fun.
Whenever I come here I always get shoved into the same corner with no view of the restaurant and always near an extremely large and LOUD party! I had to yell the whole night for my date to hear me...
I love the food here though so I keep coming back but it’s getting difficult to come back
The food was very good. A bit over priced for Italian food but apparently a lot of celebs go there so many that’s why. No photos are allowed inside which is fine. The music did not match the vibe of the place at all - even though was good music, I wouldn’t choose that kind for that restaurant. The Australian barman was awesome and the wait staff also lovely.
Had dinner here. Service was good, food was good. The bread pudding will drop you to your knees. Good vibe, loud enough so you can’t here other people’s convos but not too loud where you can’t hear each other. Great music! All around sexy place.
Great night. Food, service and ambience all were fantastic.
Cool space. They tried to seat us outside in a terrible side area (would hate to use term patio) but did accommodate our request to stay inside. They should warn customers that their table is going to be outside before they arrive (would not eat there if we were seated outside). One of the main reasons for eating at Nice Guy is for the ambiance of the room.
No flexibility on the menu options. Portions were small. Pasta was average. Too many other good restaurant options in WHO. We won’t be back.
Very low-key spot on a Tuesday evening. The food was incredible, the service was great, and the space was well curated and beautiful.
This was my second time dining at The Nice Guy. The food and drinks were great as expected, but the service was not great. Our waiter acted like he didn't want to serve us. He greeted our table and asked us for our drink order. We asked for water, he asked us what kind, we responded tap is fine for now. After that he never came back to check on us. I had to keep asking someone in passing to send our waiter to the table. We ordered our food. I don't eat much so we decided to share and appetizer and pizza. When
I told him we would be sharing, he rolled his eyes took our order then left. He did not return to our table after that. When we realized he was not going to return to the table to check up on us, I asked someone in passing to send our waiter to our table so we could order drinks and another woman came to help us. I feel as if the first waiter was not please at what we ordered and did not value us as paying customers. I feel as if he did not want to take our table because he felt we would not spend enough money to get the desired tip he was looking for. As good as the food and drinks are, I'm not sure if I would come back here. I didn't feel to welcome.
delicious food great music & ambiance as usual!
My favorite restaurant in LA, I come at least one a month.
Went to The Nice Guy before a show at Largo. This is an old-school Italian restaurant. Everything is a la carte. The prices are high. The food is delicious. We all cleaned our plates. How can you complain? Chopped salad is great. I had the skirt steak which was also excellent. Great wine selections. Great cocktails. My Old-Fashioned was perfect. And the piano player/singer was amazing. Added so much to the experience.
We went on a Sunday night and had great unobtrusive service- despite a change in server due to s shift change. Food was spectacular and the atmosphere made for an evening that felt like a special night out! I can sense that a weekend night would likely have a more vibrant tone. We will definitely be back!
Loved The Nice Guy only complaint would be that it’s very dark you will need your phone light to see the menu
Was treated like royalty when coming into the Nice Guy by valet, and matched service inside from Andre and Jovie our hostess and waiter. Definitely recommend for dates or just an escape from the city within the city. We will definitely be back! Jamie
Came in with my date for cocktails and dessert. We both really enjoyed our time and Katrina was very attentive.
Great food and entertainment. Service is a bit ropy and the place is too dark to even read the menu.
Fantastic ambience and simple, perfectly executed dishes. Transports you to another time and place. Once your eyes adjust! Very dark st first but not a problem. Thoughtful, gracious service. World class pizza. Perfect pasta. Loved the chopped salad and Brussels sprouts. Kitchen on the slow side- we were in a hurry to see a show at Largo and cut it close. So go for a leisurely dinner instead or make sure the kitchen knows your time restrictions. Excellent find!
Eggplant parm is FUEGO!
Sat us in a terrible table. But overall cool experience.
The food was really good, everything tasted really good & fresh
The restaurant was dark, needed the phone lights to read the menu& see the food.
The photo booth was a really nice touch.
Worst treatment I’ve ever received in a restaurant.
Appalling food at extortionate prices - venue is nice but no photography policy sucks
Although a few things are a little bit overpriced for what it is, still extremely great! Every dish we had was amazing ! Highly recommend this place for a good time with friends!
Great service and ambience. Cookies were divine. Definitely worth going to for a Hollywood experience.
Amazing spot with very friendly staff. Great food and drinks would highly recommend
We visited this restaurant with our family hoping to experience something special and local. The food tasted really good and the atmosphere was amazing. The valet was helpful as two of our kids did not have long pants which this restaurant requires the men to wear. My only disappointment was with our server who was not very kind and certainly did not seem pleased to have us in her section.
Very good food. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars was the restaurant was so incredibly dark. I had to use my phone to see the menu and you could barely see it eat. I get that maybe celebs come in and do not want to be seen but maybe wait til after 8 to turn down the lights that low.
Good service
