Be your best Jenner and head to the Nice Guy in West Hollywood, an Italian restaurant to see and be seen.
Great food and good service, but we went late and it was so busy people were standing all around us and it was very loud and small quarters. Consider stopping food service earlier and allow it to be a full on bar after 9:30 or so. I would definitely review differently if it was just a place to grab drinks.
Wonderful place, the ambiance was amazing. The price is up there but what can you expect it’s The Nice Guy.
Took us about 20/30 mins past our reservation time to be sat, and then we were a group of 4 put in a booth that usually sits 2. Was very uncomfortable
Made us wait so we left boy bye but I guess it’s cool sometimes
I’ve never felt so unwelcome or unimportant than at this place. We might have well been invisible. The idea and theme of the restaurant was really good, but they have failed to make it a good experience. Poor management and poor service.
Great spot for a nice night out with great service and more importantly great food !
Overall a really disappointing experience and I’d never return. We were a party of four, who’d booked three weeks in advance and had shown up on time for our reservation. We were taken to a table that clearly couldn’t fit us and
When I asked to be moved - The restaurant was quite empty - we were told it was impossible. I asked again once we were seated as it was almost comical how ridiculous we looked squashed at this tiny table. And the answer was again NO.
I’m nine months pregnant and it was impossible for me, and my three companions who are all over six foot, to get comfortable. By the time we left a few hours later the bigger tables that i had requested to be moved to remained empty and my Back was in agony. That kind of nonsense in a restaurant drives me totally mad!!!
Service was polite but very rushed - they couldn’t wait to turn the table and it was so obvious.
Food was fine - we shared apps, pizzas and pastas with our own entrees. the exception was the rib eyes which our server said were awesome but weren’t. We struggled to read the menus and see our food as it was so dark, and our server kept trying to get me to order cocktails despite having a huge, about - to - pop belly which led me to believe they can’t really see in there either.
We didn’t expect a cheap meal out but we did expect to be taken care of and that certainly wasn’t the case. Really awful, horrendous, uncomfortable experience. You could go to Sotto, osteria mozza, Cecconis or a million other Italian restaurants and get the same if not much better food and actually be treated with respect.
Pretty disappointing. We wanted to check it out since it’s a Hollywood staple. Very dark. Can’t read menus. Terrible Italian food especially for how overpriced. $36 for chicken parm with out any pasta. Sauce is terrible. Everything we ordered from drinks to apps to mains were terrible. Pizza is burnt. Sauce is gross app breads were burnt. Server was nice but the service was not what I expected. I’ll never go back.
Food was so good, beautiful place
Fantastic ambiance! A bit dark but once your eyes adjust the decor is fabulous. Loved the live music & the photo booth was cool.
This is the 2. Time we book at “nice guy” and it was not a “nice” experience at all! Although we booked a table via “opentable”! The restaurant was oberbooked and they set us outside on the terrass, all by our selves -isolated. Too bad, cause we heard some good stuff about this restaurant and we were looking forward to go there . Anyways ..
It was nice.
Fire good fire service highly recommend it
Food is not good and definitely not worth the price
Had dinner with friend and it was her first time in LA. Dinner was great. Drinks were strong and lovely :) will be back soon
Just love getting drinks here
The restaurant was empty but they didn’t let us add 1 person to our table
Great vibe, great food, amazing drinks! I had a great dinner with two friends visiting from NYC. Waitress was extremely nice and the manager, Larry, went above and beyond to make sure we had a nice night. Thank you all!
Great place for a fancy get-together or a VERY private dinner with friends and family. Loved the ambiance, the drinks were excellent and the food was excellent. Especially liked the "NO PICTURES" signs on the walls - it kept folks from Instagramming their food and snapping photos of each other all night.
I love the nice guy and I come in quite often, but this last time our waitress wasn't super attentive to us and the photo booth pictures weren't printing, it wouldn't have been a big deal if I didn't have an out of town friend visitng...but other than that the food was great like always.
Loved the decor and the food was great. However, the servers were really pushy and we felt like we couldn’t enjoy our food and the time we had while we were there. I understand that Drake is part owner at this place but I don’t appreciate paying $30 for a bowl of pasta and being pushed out to get to your next table. Maybe open a second location or expand so you don’t pressure your clientele.
The ambiance was great, server was attentive, and the drinks were good. The food was lukewarm and overpriced for what was given, to be honest. Will definitely return for drinks and the vibe.
Amazing! Would recommend
The restaurant had a nice ambiance but the food was unremarkable. The chef didn’t adhere to my requests and the amount of food was extremely minimal.
Overall I was unimpressed.
Amazing food, lovely staff, and I loved the live music! Could use more light though, I had to use my phone to read the menu :)
Food was too salty, almost to be point of being inedible. We could not finish our entrees. They were sweet and comp’ed our desserts and wrote a birthday message for me.
The first 15 minutes of my time at The Nice Guy were terrible. You have to make a reservation and I showed up early waiting for my table at 8pm. I was told to sit at the bar until my table is ready and which is what I did. 8:05pm rolls around and I ask is my table ready so that I can be seated and was told almost. Then I was told 5 minutes later that I signed up for a seat at the bar WHICH IS NOT POSSIBLE! I RSVP'd for a TABLE and even TEXTED TO CONFIRM. Nice try at trying to insult my intelligence. Then I was told that is might take 30mins. Eventually the manager came over and told them to clear off my table so that I can sit down. I get it that celebs come in there but all money spends the same. Treat EVERY PAYING CUSTOMER WITH RESPECT. It's sad bc the food is good but I doubt I'll be back or recommend it to any of my friends or colleagues when we come from D.C.
Service sucked, waiter only came by once. We needed some extra things and couldn’t get a hold of someone.
The food is delicious! The only issue I had was the table, got a horrible one ,much more like a standing table for a dinner. The hostess was kind enough to fix the situation so we end up having a great dinner. Again! Delicious food!!!
Ive been to this restaurant many times and never had a problem...however, my last experience was quite shocking to say the least. My friend and I split a $150 dollar meal down the middle and we both get the notification on our banking apps that we have both been charged separately $150...she then proceeds to bring a bill that says we have only been charged $95 each, which is still more than our original bill. When we confronted her she then refunded us the $150 each and brought a bill that had the proper amount but when we checked our banking app, she still charged us $95 each. Long story short, some really disingenuous behaviour that was not appreciated whatsoever
I’m still trying to figure out why they charged me an oversized price for my dinner, when we were only two, and we were splitting the count in half (my friend got a different amount, we were supposed to be paying 46$ each, and she paid 54$ while I paid 63$) Never heard of “it’s just a holding we do in Some restaurants in West Hollywood’ before. Fancy dinner and lovely place, but I’m not coming back again.
There was an incredibly talented vocalist performing while we were dining that incredibly heightened the experience.
The restaurant was closed at our reservation time!
Wow! What a waste of opportunity to eat a good dinner somewhere else. We made a reservation a week before for 6:30 PM to eat dinner at this restaurant. On the day, we received a text that in summary says Confirm by 4pm or your rez is cancelled, also our table seating time is 2 hour. When we arrived we were offered 3 tables 1 a side table with high chairs (had to reject as my wife is pregnant), 2 outside table which doesn’t even get music and is outside hearing car noises only, third a table inside in a corner that rarely gets a visit. We had to select the third option. We ordered two starters, fried mozarella was good, eggplant was so sweet it tasted like jam so we didn’t eat it, when waiter asked we told him we didn’t like it (was charged anyways), there were two lady waitresses and one was super arrogant, she loved saying they cant do changes. When our main courses came the gentleman who served, literally threw the plates on the table and while throwing stuff on table he dropped my spoon, didn’t even care to bring another one. All and all the nice guy wasn’t so nice. Maybe this was one time experience that lived by coincidence but it is our experience.
The service was amazing our waitress took the time to go over the menu and offer suggestions. I was excited to try the OVO drink which was amazing, but disappointed they ran out of owl's. If you ever to get any in stock, please let me know. I would love to purchase one for my son's birthday, he loves Drake. I can be reached at 562-686-2504. Service was AMAXZING!!! I will definitely go back.
Nice Guy is an exclusive experience, the food is really good but pricey and can be small portions depending on what you order. The atmosphere is romantic and dark so it's good for a dinner date with your hubby. Great wine and cocktails.
Food was great, service was very good and they sat us right away. Only problem was that they put us at a tiny table that was literally tucked away in a corner. My view was a wall. Other than that everything was great but that one detractor weighed a bit heavily on my end of the table.
Amazing food great options for vegetarians everything we ordered was fantastic! My new favorite spot in LA !
Had a reservation for a birthday dinner and didn't get seated until 30 minutes AFTER the reservation meanwhile multiple tables were empty. It felt as though the hostess forgot about us and wasn't very helpful. Then we were finally sat at our table which was essentially in the hallway with the most foot traffic, not ideal considering I had made the reservation weeks in advance. NOT a great experience at The Nice Guy.
Such a lovely experience!!!!!!!!!! Highly recommended.
