Be your best Jenner and head to the Nice Guy in West Hollywood, an Italian restaurant to see and be seen.
After we reserve a table 10 days before , the woman at the entrance put us in a corner close to the kitchen! Not cool
So many restaurants in LA that are better value. Everything is super overpriced, the restaurant was completely empty but they seated us literally next to the bathrooms even though we had a reservation. Decor was different, not very modern but SO dark you could hardly read the menu or see the person across the table from you.
The food was good as usual but the service was awful. The hosts as soon as we walked in were uninviting, did not welcome us. And stood there for 2 minutes before seating is without saying anything. Our waitress came to the table 2 times at most throughout the meal and forgot about food items. Will not be coming back
My sister was in town visiting from Atlanta. We brought her here with 8:30p reservations for 3. We entered the restaurant and were immediately take outside to the "patio" with three tables. Mind you it was a very cool evening. One of the heat lamps did not work. I had eat dinner in my coat which was very uncomfortable. I saw the inside of the restaurant for all of 30 seconds. I had high expectations for Nice Guy but was very displeased with the entire experience. Do not plan on returning.
I don’t recommend this restaurant.
My reservation was at 8.30. They asked me to wait 45 min to have a table. So I left and I will never come back!
Loved the restaurant, the only thing I didn’t like was how dark it was inside I could barley read the menu it was so dark. Food was great tasting but small portions.
They make us wait 2 hours and we had our dinner at 10.30 pm because we booked on Opentable not with the manager. But I still like the ambiance and food. So even that was really rude I know they will be more careful next time
I've been here a few times, it's a little pricey but worth every penny! The food is delicious! I love the intimacy of the restaurant.
Always a great time at this place. They can be a little pushy saving tables for fantom guest that never arrive but the food never disappoints and the aspiring actresses and actors, I mean servers, do an exceptional job.
Food was amazing. Started with the margherita pizza, something so simple with so much flavour. Ordered the lobster pasta, cooked perfectly. Our server michelle was great. She made up for the 1 hour and 15 min delay of our reservation we made. I dont understand how you make resos for 9 but then are seated at 10:15. Manager served us a free drink but still. Anyways i would go back.
The Nice Guy was great! The food was delicious and our waitress was so nice and helpful. The free photo booth was also a fun bonus! Would definitely go again!
Went here to celebrate both our birthdays, and none of the staff remembered we were there to celebrate our birthdays. Other than that, the food was good, great ambiance, but be prepared to spend some money. You can get super dressy or be casual cute in some jeans and cute shoes. Would recommend 4/5
Great time! The Brussel Sprouts are AMAZING!
We had an 8:45 reservation and told to grab a drink upon arrival because it would be about 5 mins for a table. We finally saw a table for 4 being cleared at 9:25 and were surprised to be taken another direction. The hostess had brought us to a completely empty 3 table garden on a cold night. We told the hostess that we wanted to sit indoors and in the minute that we were led in this direction, the 4 top inside was given to 2 young girls who were sat as an incomplete party. Their other guests were nowhere in sight. We were then told it would be 90 mins for a table. We obviously left and will not be back.
Everything was really good the food was amazing but the wait to sit us was really long I arrived there right on time and it took them 40 min to get the table ready not cool. They should work on that because they are really strict on the time we get there there’s only a 15 min wait!
THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE. Made a reservation 2 weeks in advance (they only book 14 days out) and when we arrived the unbelievably rude hostess took us outside to be seated. There were only 3 tables out there and no one else was seated outside. It was also cold so we asked to be seated inside. The hostess rudely said she couldn’t guarantee anything and it would be over an hour. We said we would wait and have a drink at the bar and she condescendingly said again that she “couldn’t guarantee anything.” We then went to the bar and the bartender walked up to us and stared at us without saying a word waiting for us to order. Typically in the service industry customers are greeted politely but that was definitely not the case at this place. We flew in for the weekend from Philadelphia and were celebrating my birthday. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone and it definitely wouldn’t make it on the East Coast
Service was fine, our server was friendly. Food was fine. Ambiance...cant say much, we were seated in the back patio which was disappointing. It was like eating dinner on someone’s apartment balcony, snuggled up next to a party of 6. Will make a request on seating in the future.
I loved the food, and the ambiance
My waitress was also lovely, if she didn’t like us, she played it cool
The only bad thing, literally, only bad thing, the hostess (outside)
She mysteriously couldn’t find my reservation, and also didn’t want to let my sister in the restaurant
She really made me mad .
It’s the worst to be unkind , and makes you unattractive, don’t be like that.
Great vibe and great food at this restaurant! We were celebrating a birthday and it was the perfect spot for a celebration. Reservations are a must and need to be made weeks in advance. Definitely a who’s who crowd- probably why no picture taking is allowed. We will return again for sure!
It was amazing
We had a nice dinner but were crammed in the back at a small table. And there was a large party of about 15 so we were not really able to hear each other that well. But besides that we really enjoyed the ambience and food.
Really wonderful night. We had amazing food and drinks. Only bummer was we had a party of about 16+ college kids seated next to us and after that we had to shout at each other to be able to have a conversation. We’re kinda hoping for a bit more of an elegant night.
It was a birthday dinner , the seating wasn't the best , they squeeze you in like sardines on a can
The people inside are there just to look if they see the celebrity..the staff just want that you go away fast as you can
Excellent service and beautiful atmosphere. I just regret not being able to take a picture and record this special moment.
Great ambiance but the hosting staff was not only unfriendly but seemed to rush us out of the restaurant soon after making us wait 30+ minutes to get seated. Was looking forward to dining here after a number of friends had recommended it to me but I'm sorry to say I don't care to go back after such poor service.
The bartender was rude the host outside was also rude this place is overrated
As soon as we arrived for our reservation we were shown our table which was outside on a tiny patio with only 3 tables. It felt like we were banished to the back alley that had none of the ambiance of this very cool restaurant. Actually, it felt insulting to be offered the table. The only reason we decided to accept the table was because we were with out of town friends we actually wanted to talk to. It was so loud and crowded inside, it’s impossible to hear. While the food was very good, it felt like a huge rip off being seated in the alley and missing out on scene inside.
Fun vibe at The Nice Guy. Always a good scene and lots of energy. Good for a fun night out.
I had a reservation for 4 people for 7 pm that was booked weeks in advance. Apparently since I could not answer the phone call TODAY (while I was at work) from The Nice Guy, they canceled my reservation - even though it was still booked and valid on opentable. The hostess and manager were not apologetic at all and said “that’s our policy” and could only seat us outside after telling us that they had rebooked our table and could not accommodate us. I have never heard of such a policy, as restaurants usually give a courtesy call the day of or before a reservation to confirm, but I have never been canceled on for not returning this call. Food is great, service not so much.
Being in Food & Beverage, I understand I can be a bit critical on minute things, which is why I never leave reviews. But this dining experience was embarrassing. We were never re marked for plates or utensil settings for our main courses that we split (Branzino, Filet), when asked, we were brought utensils, not in a mise-en-place, but via hand passing. Waters touched the table after our appetizer. We saw our server twice. Once for the greet and shpill, and then for the very delayed water. We went the entire dining experience with out a follow up and had to ask for our check from a random server/busser...someone, just not our server. I know her name but will not throw it out, hoping she was just having a bad day. Needless to say, food is sub par and not worth the irritable terrible service and will not be bringing in any more out of town F&B colleagues here.
Came here to celebrate my birthday and had been here with a group before. I would say it's better for group dining than a romantic meal (despite the glow lighting), only because the two-seater tables are too small.
Great food, though did miss seeing the Penne alla Vodka on the menu. Would appreciate a few vegan options on the mains.
Had advanced dinner reservation at 8pm, although we weren’t seated until 8:45pm. Food quality and service was mediocre to say the least. Dinner table was very small and very poor lighting with loud speakers directly overhead. This is not the place to go if you’re looking for a good quality dinner, however, if you’re in to possible celebrity sightings and an expensive cocktail, it might be good for you. My wife and I were very disappointed.
Fantastic food, great service!! The pizza was awesome and the kale salad was DELICIOUS!!
The food was good, had a lot of flavor! The drinks were strong :)
I was sold the minute I walked in. Loved the vibe, the dim lighting and the aesthetic. Then came the cocktails which were perfect. We loved everything we ordered...especially the cacio e pepe and the chicken picatta. And the service was excellent. Definitely going back!
Waited 45 minutes to be seated after the reservation time with tables that were left open on purpose for other clients. Plus no pics allowed in the restaurant. Food is average. I don’t get this place. Very pretentious for no reason at all.
Four stars instead of 3 because drinks were amazing, they def dont hold back on the alcohol (try the jojo).
Parking is a drag, they have valet of course, but Im personally not a fan of giving my keys to someone nor like the waiting for my car after Im done. Thankfully though there is valet because like I said, parking is a drag.
My friend and I were seated in an uncomfortable small table, and the place is super loud so you can barely hear eachother, especially since youre sitting so close to everyone else. It kind of smelled weird where we were. Luckily, we dont let minimal things spoil our experience much, also the drinks like I said did help a lot with ignoring the smell & that others were practically sitting on our laps.
The brussel sprouts were very very good, the filet mignon was amazing, tried the mac n cheese and really didnt enjoy it. Had the chocolate bread pudding which was also very delicious. The place is fairly dark so perfect for date night.
intimate setting, small portions, but the truffle fries and meatballs were very good! great selection of cocktails as well
