Deep fried brie, homemade blueberry ketchup
Grilled skirt steak, red onion, pickled fresno, roasted corn, heirloom tomatoes, cotija cheese, spring mix greens, chimichurri
Fried almond crusted chicken breast, sliced almonds, craisins, mandarin orange, bleu cheese, romaine, honey lime vinaigrette
Drinks, appetizer, dinner, and rooter cookies for dessert. Everything was better than I hoped if would be. Such a great night
Definitely the best steak I have ever had. Service was wonderful and love the decor.

Birthday party with the girls. They tolerated our loudness and had excellent food/drinks!!
Fabulous meals- ruben and almond chicken salad.
We enjoyed drinks, an appetizer, entries and a birthday dessert in the bar. The waitress was very informative about the menu and also how the restaurant was decorated. I would definitely return!
Interesting place. Really cool decor and broad selection of cocktails, spirits, etc. A unique, distinctive place for any of you who are anti-chain (as I am).
Great experience and wonderful food! Service was outstanding!
My first time at The Newsroom- the food was good- some good options for us since we have a vegetarian in the group. The food took quite a while to arrive but everything was hot. The ambience is very interesting and the theme is great. It’s a very comfortable spot- we will return.
Dining room was busy when we arrived. First two beers we ordered were out of stock. Food took almost an hour to arrive at our table after ordering. Dining room was almost empty by time food finally came. Waiter wasn’t attentive either.
This is the second dinner gathering I’ve been apart of that featured The News Room as the venue. Everyone enjoyed themselves and were treated well.
We had a great time. However, I could REALLY feel of being rushed.
Great service and a nice menu selection.
The food was okay, not great. I ordered chicken salad and the chicken was a bit dry, but with the dressing, it was okay. We wouldn't make a special attempt to return, but if in the area again we might give another try. It could of just been an off night. The service was good and prices are reasonable.
The service was outstanding! The noise level was a little too high. Overall, I would eat here again and recommend it to others.
Nice place with a decent menu. Stopped in for dinner prior to going out to the theater for the evening. Service was good and so was the general ambiance of the restaurant. Food took close to an hour from ordering to make it to table, but it seems that staff shortages were to blame as the place wasn't overly busy. Would still go again.
Greta location with a very cool themed interior. Even with staffing shortages the service was amazing and the staff was truly top notch.
Veggie sandwich was awesome. Great service and nice patio seating
Not a lot of vegetarian options. Can't substitute much. Like the white wine in the pasta.
No flavor. Just really bland food.
Arrived for our Open Table at 8:15 and was told our food would not be ready for an hour, kitchen was backed up. Server was polite until I inquired why our food was still not ready 1 1/2 hours after order was placed. He said ours was the last order to be put in. I know we were not the last table seated. We finally got our food 10 minutes before closing (10:00). My tortellini was tasty but not very warm. My husband’s jambalaya was hot but not spicy. I would not go back
It was a lovely place and had amazing food and drinks! They were very busy and our food took almost an hour to come out. Since we were downtown it only left us a very limited time to eat, but the server did let us know the kitchen was backed up before we ordered and was very kind and attentive. I would like to go back when I’m not on a timeline and really enjoy it
Seldom have waited so long for such mediocre food. Took forever to get our dinner and when we asked server when it would arrive, he snipped back that they were very busy (despite several open tables) and understaffed (when he was standing around looking at the room). Also took a long time just get our check. We won't be back.
Tasty pasta dishes and creative cocktails hit the spot!
The service is very slow. It took us 45 minutes to get our food. I had to flag down the waiter to get waited on.
The food was great. The service was good but slow.
Food was so good but the service could have been better.
Menu has changed; not for the better. Server was either too busy or didn't care; below par for this place.
Next time I would for sure sit inside, other than that it was just trying things out of my comfort zone. Service was impeccable though.
We were a group of 5, fun atmosphere, great food.
Our server was excellent - the food was wonderful and we especially loved the root beer cookies.
Staff were very friendly. We enjoyed the brie curds with blueberry sauce. My watermelon salad was delicious. Outdoor seating area looks desolate with barren planters.
Great service. Bit of noise from buses while sitting outside. They are doing a great job in a tough area to make dining as comfortable and welcoming as possible.
Wonderful service, fantastic strip steak with those mushrooms!
Great food and service! Love the Brie curds!
Great place for lunch.
My family really enjoyed the drinks and the lasagna.
Great experience and food just too noisy inside. Would however recommend to friends!
It would have been nice to have a slightly quieter area to be - having an "energetic experience" isn't always desired. The hostess was very helpful, though, in finding us a table that worked.
I went to lunch with a work colleague and after 40 minutes of waiting, we decided we better get our meals to go so we didn't miss our upcoming meetings. I flagged down the waiter and he just said "OK". He didn't seem to be concerned about the amount of time we were waiting or the fact that we couldn't enjoy our meal there. On top of that, I witnessed him ducking down under the bar in the center of the room and touching the floor with his hands multiple times. He typically sprayed his hands with a sanitizer after doing that, but I am not sure he did every time. The turkey sandwich I had was overcooked and very tough. I do not plan to go here again.
The service and food were great! Reduced staff post pandemic meant the restaurant was not full. Reservations are recommended.
Enjoy my experience very much. I dined alone so that I can work and sat at a very quiet table near the bar. The atmosphere was beautiful
Food was bland, server seemed like he didn't care.
