The Nest Ratings and Reviews
This was me and my fiance's first time. it was little noisy inside because of the live music (which we will be back for) so we sat on the patio and they had a gentlemen playing guiter. the food was amazing and our waitstress helped me decide on a drink. and they had heaters too.
As always the Nest’s food was awesome. We find the entertainment is always energetic and enjoyable. Dodi makes you feel like part of the Nest family. In the bar area you have the opportunity to be served by the hardest working waitress in the world, Rosalee. You could never go wrong by eating and being entertained at the Nest.
We enjoyed a great night with friends. Eating, drinking and generally having a wonderful time. The extra special care given by front of staff to make sure we got the table we reserved was appreciated. We continued our party in the lounge and the "live" entertainment was very good and we experienced lots of good dancing fun. Thanks for a night we will cherish in our memories.
Service was very good. Wait staff was very attentive and answered all our questions.
Food was served at appropriate temperatures. We were seated in a corner area, so it was not too noisy and we were able to still communicate with one another, in spite of the fact the main dining room was packed and a bit noisy. Will return again another day!
I have been to the Nest a few times before to grab some appetizers and a glass of wine. Great music playing, a lot of friendly locals and just a fun ambiance.
Decided to have dinner there with my wife. I had the Chefs Special (breaded sole on pasta) which was ok, nothing special and she had the chicken piccata which she said was ok, but not a big deal. I realize it’s Indian Wells, but $30 each for these plates was not worth it. I compare my meal to the $30 dishes I have had in Bev Hills, OC and other upscale restaurants and the meals we had we far too expensive and were not that good.
I don’t mind hitting the Nest for Happy Hour but I won’t be returning for dinner- I don’t mind paying $30 for a meal but you have to knock it out of the park with taste, presentation and portion. Service was ok but the waitress was very busy with other tables so service was a little slow.
This well known restaurant with a long history offers a varied menu and excellent food. However, we were there on a Saturday night which seems to be their busiest night. It was so loud from the crowd in the bar, we could barely have conversation. There was a long line at the door when we left at 8:30 and obviously this is THE place to go for bar action and music. If you want a hip, happening place with great food, this is the place. If you want a quieter dining experience, try another night.
the restaurant was extremely noisy: tables so close together we could not hear our guests.
also, though delicious the chicken premavera was cold when served. Hostess was most
Apologetic but it was disappointing after being highly recommended. we will try again,
But not on a Friday evening at 6:30 pm.
The pork chop was so dry and tough it could not be eaten. The mashed potatoes were dry and cold. The lamb was thin and smaller portion than expected, potatoes again dry and cold.
Very disappointing. Needless to say we will not return or recommend.
I hope it was just a bad night
Service would have received 5 star rating. But the hostess’s seemed unorganized. We asked for booth. Which we were asked to wait in the bar for 15 mins. 1/2 hr later I checked in w/the Hostess, she mentioned she couldn’t find us.
She sat us immediately but not at the booth.
The Nest is a Palm Springs classic. It is nice to re-visit from time to time. They have good food and the owners have been personally involved for a very long time. I went with my parents back in the day, and now am dining there with my friends. It is a also well-known as a night time hotspot and gathering place with good entertainment (selected days) and shoulder to shoulder dancing in the bar.
My husband and I went there for a special celebration to the early special dinner. We each had a wedge salad, petal sole picatta, and Pana cotta for desert. All of this only cost $20 and it was delicious! Wr have gone there many times for this special dinner. It's fabulous. Ingredients are high quality and the food is meticulously prepared. Orders must be in by 5:30 p.m. the staff recognized our special celebration in made it very nice for us. I love that we can go dancing afterwards and listen to music. A great place.
The NEST is the perfect place to go for great food and great entertainment. We went for my sisters bachelorette and Dodi took such great care of us. We had a reserved table right near the bar for dinner and also in the bar when we moved on to drinks and dancing. I highly recommend visiting the nest for a great time and great people.
We enjoy this restaurant year round - however, this was the busiest time we have ever been there! Our reservation was honored on a timely basis, the food was great and served also on a timely basis. We did have a table that was along the side windows which was more quiet than most.....but still quite a hub bub of activity! The food and ambience are great, it was just a little too loud this evening! Still would highly recommend this spot - the owners are hands on, lovely and very professional!
Wow, wow, wow!
From start to finish, ours was an amazing experience! Dodi and Kevin go above and beyond to ensure their guests are well cared for.
We went to celebrate our anniversary and I am so thrilled we did. We heard the Nest was great for dinner and dancing and that is an understatement.
Reserving a table and making a special request was super easy on Open Table. We arrived and Dodi ensured we had a lovely booth and the table was decorated with anniversary greetings - quite a nice touch. My husband ordered the petit filet mignon and soup. The soup was amazing and the filet was perfect and accompanied with lovely mashed potatoes. I had eggplant Parmesan and it was perfect. Flavourful with a bit of crunch and not greasy. I also had a Brussel sprout salad to start - yummy. Also, as an accompaniment, I believe it was cauliflower mash, which also was very tasty. With all that and a bottle of Pinot noir, we also had room for a shred dessert, which was a heavenly carrot cake. Much to our surprise they were kind enough to give us our cake to celebrate our anniversary- thank you, what a nice touch.
Service was amazing, attentive and always timely.
Once we were done dinner, we moved to the piano bar area and danced for a few hours. It was great fun.
We will definitely go back again and also make sure that everyone learns of this amazing gem.
Thank you again to Dodi, Kevin and staff for a wonderful experience and for your most amazing dedication. You can see they love what they do. If you have the time, the Nest should be on your list of must visit places in the valley!
