The Nest Ratings and Reviews
The owner greeted us the moment we arrived. We were a bit early on the reservation so she seated us in the bar listening to a great sax and keyboard band.
From that moment on we had a blast. The waitress was funny and relaxed (even shared a sip of wine with us - nice). Food was great as it always is. We've never been disappointed variety or quality. The wine selection is well-suited for the food selection.
What an amazing bar scene. Can't wait to come back.
Though the menu looks enticing the food just wasn't that great. The salads weren't served cold, the filet mignon lacked flavor & didn't seem to be a good slice of beef.
Mashed potatoes were good & asparagus was too.
What was good was the service. Everyone from the waiter, bus boy, & hostess were genuinely friendly and made us all feel wanted!
Would go back but not for dinner...just drinks & live music
When you enter you are in the bar....very large & Very busy...looked like everyone was having a really good time!! The dining room is to the right with 2 rooms plus a patio so you have choices on seating. We went during "Palm Springs restaurant week" so you could order from the prix fixe menu or dinner menu...both were excellent! I had the filetmignon & my husband had the sole over penne pasta. We enjoyed everything from the salad to the dessert. We'll be going back & we'd like to go into the bar for happy hour. Bar menu also looked good.
We were seated in an out of the way corner booth. Our server was never around and we never were asked if we wished water refills or extra butter. I asked for another glass of wine and never received it until the owner came by and she got it for me. Also, two of the meals were not enjoyed as one was very dry and one was very tough. The other two meals were good. We will not be returning to this restaurant.
A memorable meal that was well prepared and presented. Service was outstanding making sure one's needs were satisfied. The decor is well worn yet worn well. Good menu, large comfortable dining areas, and a separate lounge / bar for live music, if you're so inclined. Prices are reasonable for the quality of their tasty foods. Valet parking is recommended, since this is a popular dining place that's next door to a hotel property with restricted hotel guest parking spaces.
Awesome. Beginning to finish! Food was outstanding and the owner made sure to bring my 2 year olds food first so we could enjoy our entree! She even brought him a toy to play with to keep him busy. Awesome service! Band was kicking after dinner! Be sure to try the Cabbage rolls. Taste like something from Grandma's kitchen!
we decided to take advantage of restaurant week here in the greater palm springs area. not only did the nest have one of the better prices for the prix fix menu it had one of the widest list of entrees to accommodate a wider range of dietary preferences. the only down side that with only three desert offerings ,they were out of one of them. we had a 6:00 PM reservation (which was promptly honored - ALWAYS a plus) so to run out of a desert by then is kind of poor planning. otherwise everything was a great discovery for our first visit. we will definitely put this on our list of "regulars" for our dining out ventures.
We had a blast, the food was out of this world, and we will be back for more stuffed cabbage! The cocktails were perfectly made and our waitress was prompt with our order. My husband and I are new in the area and The nest had been recommended. When we saw it on the "restaurant week" we figured we'd give it a try. We wished we had come a little later so that we could have enjoyed the mu sic. It looked like such fun, but we had had a full day and were too tired to stay. I am slightly handicapped, and on our way out the hostess asked if we were leaving because we didn't see a seat and she offered to find a place for us to sit. I thought that was so thoughtful of her. Also the valet parking really helped so I didn't have to walk. thank you
