I made reservations here because of the reviews, I didn’t know the ambiance was going to be so fun and energetic. They had live music, a bar area and dancing. There was a line out the door to get into the bar.
The food was really good quality. Apparently a lot of locals go here. Fun surprise!
Great ambiance and good food . Recommend to take a visit while in the palm desert area.
There were 7 of us all ordered something different and everything was amazing , flavors, textures…would highly recommend
First time experience at The Nest. Sat on the patio for dinner and had the best food and service. It was such a treat to enjoy good food a great atmosphere and in such nice weather/environment.
Great!!!! Outstanding food and service
Birthday celebration after BNP Paribas Open
Best place to eat and drink and dance in Palm Desert!
Happiest place on earth. Great food, drinks, service, and interesting atmosphere.
We enjoyed the Nest during their Early Dining time. We found the prices have
increased over the years, we understand due to the pandemic all food and supplies
have had an issue for deliveries.
Our server Alie was very attentive and we complimented Dodie, the owner we liked
the return to the tables set up instead of booths along the windows.
We enjoy this restaurant and is near where we live, so we will return again.
They have a large bar area where some diners can eat at bar and tables as well as
covered outdoor dining.
We do recommend this restaurant to friends
We went 2 days in a row. First night in the bar and had drinks and apps. enjoyed the music. second night took family for celebrating a birthday. Our favorite spot….
Love the Nest, first time in the dining room and it was lovely. Cauliflower starter was amazing. stick around after dinner for the piano dance party in the bar.
Excellent food and service - fun, vibrant atmosphere!
The was piano player/singer that added to good food and service.
Our Anniversary. Fun night , great food and service
Best entertainment in the desert. Great experience, good food (we had the sole piccata, crab cakes & ahi). The entertainment was excellent (two performers, Niki & Kevin). We had excellent service (Cori) & overall a great evening & super fun! Highly recommend
We were so much looking forward to this visit to The Nest. We have had several great experiences and quality meals there in the past. This visit was beyond bad. First, we were sat out on the patio by Dodi herself - which wasn't bad at first. However, she sat us down with no menus and we didn't have a server stop by our table for at least 15 minutes. We asked for menus at that point and then waited another 15 minutes before I got up and went back inside to the reception desk and requested two menus which I brought back to our table. The patio was incredibly loud and packed (as was the inside dining room) and it was clear our server was stretched way to thin. Meal was just okay as the feeling was that we were forced to strongly consider getting up to leave while we were waiting for at least somewhat attentive service. It is clear that Dodi and Kevin have decided to pack as many people in for dinner without ensuring the service and staff to be adequate to provide the service that we have come to know. While we have always strongly recommended The Next to all of our friends coming down to Palm Desert, we will no longer give any recommendation to dine at The Nest. It's too bad but I cannot have my credibility to recommend restaurants undermined by such bad service.
Always have the best time! Celebrated my birthday with family and enjoyed great food, martinis and live music!
Trendy, want to be upscale dining and entertainment type of place. Seems to have an identity crisis. We were hoping for the Motown sounds I had heard about, instead we got some screaming banshee, blue haired, Madonna clone.
The food was decent, the spanakopita (what they call spinach pie) was severely lacking in feta cheese, it was dry and the filo dough gummy inside. Escargot was very good, stuffed cabbage (golumpki) also was good. The other entree tried was the Shrimp Scampi, it was 8 out of 10. For the price and plastic atmosphere, I would not go back.
Too loud, too crazy. Hard to enjoy a nice dinner. Service was mediocre at best. Ahi tuna appetizer was over cooked, Caesar salad was dry and tasteless. Asked for extra dressing and then realized my salad didn’t have dressing on it to start. Pork schnitzel was good, nice mushroom gravy, great assortment of vegetables and decent mashed potatoes. Overall for the money there are far better restaurants like Eddie V’s or Vicky’s. I doubt I will give The Nest another try. If I want loud and crazy I’m better off on the tarmac at a Kennedy Airport in New York.
Excellent food and professional staff. Always a great time at the Nest
Nice place great food but little too noisy for me. But I will go again.
The service is good, but the food is not even tastier than frozen food. The juice tastes like water with some drops of syrup. The entree has no flavor. Do not recommend.
Great service. Food is good. definite solid traditional restaurant
We were at the nest in June with our family from back east my father-in-law had the veal Parmesan and he told me it was the best he’s ever had so I had to try it I did that last night and it was excellent the best I’ve ever had
Service was excellent, escargot was excellent, the entrees were marginal. We had the chicken piccata- bland and the rack of lamb was unremarkable. The Choc cake with ice cream was very good as well. I would go again and hope the entrees would be better bc the overall feel of the dining area is nice. Dancing in the next room is an extra bonus. Band was fun and overall had a very fun evening.
The Nest early bird special is wonderful for those early time diners, but wish for the quality and menu options without sacrificing a fine dining experience.
I highly recommend this establishment.
Food was rated highly but not the quality expected. Salmon was not very tasty for blackened salmon and Goulosh was not tasty or appealing
Other than being somewhat noisy this place was great. The food was delicious and service was quick.
Service and food was excellent. The owner stopped by several time to visit, very personable! We got to sample the stuffed cabbage roll on the house. I eat there every time I make it out to Palm Springs!
we had a reservation but still had to wait almost an hour
other than that, great food and fun atmosphere
As a first timer and based on previous reviews, The Nest did not disappointment. Great food, good service and good energy.
Amazing cabbage rolls!!! Food is good, high energy spot. Great people watching. Watch out for the clown.
Been going to the desert for 25 years driven by this place 1 million times. Stopped there last night for dinner the Nest definitely makes our top five list everything was outstanding!!!
First time dining at the Nest. Great fresh, cooked to order food. Service was spectacular and attentive to our nutrition requests (food allergies) and delivered hot, delicious meals with vibrant flavors. THANK YOU! We will be back
It was the best experience!
Great service, food and atmosphere as always. Our favorite restaurant in town.
Great place to people watch. The cabbage rolls (grandma's recipe) were outstanding as was the bacon fig appetizer.
The Nest is what I imagine Palm Springs during the Hollywood era was like. Service was incredible, Dodi greeted us and treated us like old friends. She even offered us her mom’s homemade cookies when we left. The busboy raved about Kevin’s piano playing. We felt very welcome and enjoyed the food.
We came to palm desert for vacation and made a reservation for 7 at the nest. The service and ambiance was great! The food was a little slow coming but it was absolutely fantastic once we got it. The lamb and steak were so tender and flavorful! The shrimp scampi was also very delicious. Everybody was pleased in our party including 3 kids! The owner of the restaurant makes you feel so special as she is on top everything, very nice lady!
We waited for the music which was suppose to start at 6:30pm. It didn't happen. My mother was unhappy. But I had to get her home.
