Great night - staff is excellent and food outstanding I would definitely go here again

My husband and I had an amazing dinner plus whiskey pairing to celebrate our anniversary. Amazing service and delicious food. Our table allowed me to view the kitchen, and it provided a fabulous show. All of the food was delicious. My favorite—asparagus gazpacho. Whiskey pairings are well-done, with great education provided. At the end of the dinner we were given champagne to toast our special day—nice touch. Two of the chefs also stopped to chat, as well as the manager. Class act all the way around.

We r big fans of tasting menus and were not disappointed with our delicious meal. From the carefully concocted drinks to course after course we were very happy. The cozy dining room was spaced out very well for COVID and felt very safe.

We had an amazing evening. Everyone was so kind, and the food was incredible. This was the highlight of a wonderful trip to Deer Valley.

What an amazing evening! We all enjoyed each course of the pre set dinner menu. Things we may not have ordered on our own, but what a lovely surprise that the chef created such yummy dishes. Our son had the whiskey pairing and he not only loved trying the different whiskeys but the older gentleman who described each one was such a delight. Great service, great amount of time offered to enjoy each serving. Such a fun night for all of us!!

It was a prefix menu and it was wonderful. Forced my father to try things he never had before and he did really enjoy it. Service was fantastic and it is a very cute place. Highly recommend (but, EXPENSIVE).

Definitely one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. Circumstances required that we bring our children - which normally we wouldn’t do at a place like this - but they actually loved everything too. We will return next year!

Food was phenomenal. Best culinary experience in park city - by far (there are numerous restaurants with high quality, but NC differentiates with exquisite tasting menu). The wait staff were engaging and informative and provided a wonderful experience, striking the perfect balance between attentiveness and separation to allow for intimate conversation without being neglected. We are looking forward to a repeat experience at Nelson Cottage!

Absolutely floored and enchanted by this experience from top to bottom. I mean this sincerely, this was one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life. I was lucky enough to face the kitchen and watch the care that went in to each dish and it only enhanced the experience. The plating, the taste, the room all made this meal so beautiful and perfect. I’m so impressed and happy with this dinner and it was worth every penny.

Really beautiful ambience both inside and outdoors. Extremely knowledgeable staff. Didn’t think the whiskey pairing did much for the food which was excellent alone. Preferred our wine with our meal.

I vehemently support local businesses and restaurants- but this was the worst dining experience in my adult life. We are Park City locals who brought both out of town visitors and other locals to dine with us. I booked the reservation and we
were on time. Our group spent well over $1200 pre-tip. We booked a multi-course fixed price menu and it took a while for the food to come out across the multiple courses. Additionally, it took a while to receive drinks that we ordered and we had to remind the servers about items we had ordered. While the majority of us were still drinking the $200+ bottle wine and champagne we ordered, we were notified that we need to free up the table for other guests. We had been there for 2 hours and our time there was entirely dependent on the speed of the service which was slow on both food and drink. Further they did not inform us of a time limit when I booked the reservation for a 6pm dining time. I have dined at 5 star restaurants where there are multiple courses and wine pairings and when you are spending thousands of dollars dining, it is very unusual to have a time limit, especially when you are not told of this in advance. Nonetheless, we were winding things down regardless.
For the last 20 minutes prior to our departure from the High West Nelson Cottage we were literally stalked by multiple waitstaff and it was incredibly uncomfortable. The service team was talking about us loudly, and how they could get us to leave. We had already paid our check and tipped generously. I have never experienced such uncouth, rude, embarrassing behavior from a dining establishment EVER. It was so far beyond what is basic and expected when you are dining at a restaurant, not to mention when you are spending thousands of dollars. Every guest that I brought left angry and bewildered. High West needs to make some management changes or despite their distillery success, they will not make it as a restaurant in Park City.

Absolutely amazing. The best overall experience of our trip to Park City. There were only 4 tables. It’s very intimate and perfect for a celebration!

If you want to celebrate a special occasion our just want to be treated as a special person, I highly recommend The Nelson cottage. Food was amazing, we had 3 servers taking care of o our needs. Every course was as good or better as the previous course. I cannot wait to have a meal at the Nelson Cottage

Everything was fantastic, from the welcoming whiskey cocktail to the final dessert course. Chef even made some changes for some in our party with some dietary restrictions from his set menu. We felt very pampered and well taken care of. I would highly recommend for any occassion.

Was perfect!! Great food and service.

We chose Nelson Cottage for a Christmas-time date night. The cottage is very small and can only seat a handful of tables currently, but that just means the wait staff is more attentive. You'll definitely hear the other tables in the dining room, but the volume isn't so bad that you can't hear the people at your own table.

The food is simply fantastic. The plated prix fixe dinner was truly amazing and every course was an adventure in taste, texture, and color. We opted for the whiskey pairings for each course and our Whiskey Ambassador introduced us to all of High West Distilleries whiskeys while explaining why he selected them for each course. It was certainly a magical evening for both of us!

The staff was knowledgeable the food was amazing definitely a repeat.

It was a fixed menu and it was very good. The service was excellent. The wine and whiskey were pretty expensive. Being outdoors was more comfortable than we expected. After it was all said and done with a reasonable tip it was close to $100 per person with the fixed menu priced at $55 @. I would go back.
